Go Launcher Ex!
Launcher Pro is a bit faster from what i experienced but still Go Launcher offers the most, and most of all, for free. Go Dev Team got lots of awesome apps for Android.
I use:
Go Launcher Ex - HoneyComb theme + notification plugin
Go SMS Pro - with Emojicon plugin

I have the same setup (minus the honeycomb theme), I used the wizmod theme
I prefer go launcher ex to launcher pro mainly because these two very similar in features and it's free.
Go launcher also has its own widgets, similar to launcher pro

can someone say what "launchers" really are?? I dont know anyting about them..

pretty much the user interface of your home screens and app drawer. look at images on for launcher pro and go launcher on the market, you'll see the differences.
As for my choice, definitely going with go launcher. I think the ONLY thing I miss about launcher pro was having the sense widgets, and being able to edit the dock bar which I''m surprised hasn't been done in go launcher yet

Go Launcher Ex uses more Ram, but it has an integrated taskmanager and some other nice features. I prefere it.

Check out this Power Widget!

I restored my Sense data and in place of my battery widget this popped up. I'm afraid to remove it because I think it's cool lol.
Hmm. I just replicated it with ADW by adding the power control widget and making it 1x1 in size. A little hard to use, though.

I have this as well i want to reflash but i dont want to lose it and that guy said he used ADW what and where is that I look in the market place there a 100's of apps saing ADW
This thread is ALL the way back from JULY lol how are you guys finding these posts
btw ADW launcher (see link HERE) is just that, a launcher. It's the launcher that comes standard with CM6. Which you can also download from the market.
anytime i search for adw or launcher pro, i always add "-theme"
that should get rid of MOST of the themes.
adw launcher -theme
launcher pro -theme
Looks pretty cool.

Launcher Pro widgets to ADW

I do not know if this is even possible. But is there a way to add Launcher Pro paid widgets to ADW launcher? I like ADW, but I also like Launcher Pro widgets...any ideas?
No, not possible. Maybe if Launcher Pro were Open Source then yes maybe it could be ported over.

[DISCUSS] Customizing the Xperia Play

Will there be decent options to customize the SonyErikson custom shell? Or will there just be the plain interface with the blue and white?

Try downloading launcher pro from the market (free) or try SPB Launcher ($15).
I do know that Launcher Pro works fine, but avoid ADW as this kept force closing on me.

launcher pro
beautiful widgets
stock psp live wallpaper
looks VERY slick
Launcher Pro for the win
After attempting to get the Sony Ericsson Home Launcher forced into landscape mode to no success, I installed Launcher Pro as johnsongrantr suggested and its plain sailing from there on.
The simple addition of being able to go Landscape whilst looking for apps to open is a must have. Why Sony Ericsson didnt have this in there default launcher is just stupid.

Launcher probably vs go launcher

I've become pretty accustomed to launcher pro since i used to use it on my mt4g and now again since it was included with g-lite on my G2 but i have always been curious about go launcher... it looks like it has more customization options and features than launcher pro but i'm not sure and i don't necessarily feel like re doing all my launcher settings and stuff if go launcher sucks.
So does anyone use go launcher? Is it any better or different from launcher pro? Does it consume any more or less resources than launcher pro would probably be the biggest thing...
Thanks in advance.

theyre both pretty much the same now, launcher pro is still a bit ahead cause the widgets are kinda cooler
if you want less resources consumed and no lags at all use the stock launcher, it doesnt have customizations tho
You won't have to redo your Launcher Pro configuration/settings if you try Go Launcher. You can try/install as many launchers as you want. If you want to switch back to another launcher, you just need to clear defaults in Settings>Applications>Manage applications>(current launcher). Then press home, and pick the launcher that you want to switch to, and it will still be setup how you left it. Or use an app like Home Switcher for Foryo (works for Gingerbread, too). to make switching a bit faster.
It's can be use and all the same. With g-lite ROM i'm using GoLauncher, when i want i use Launcher7 - winphone7 launcher - with no problem

can you launch holo instead of touchwiz?

I remember i read somewhere that if you clear the launchers default it will ask you if you want to launch holo or the manufacturers overlay of android when you go home. Can i do that to my tab with ics?
Just the launcher? That doesn't work on every device, In fact, I think the only device that ever did it was the EVO 4G, mainly because HTC left the other launcher in there, which is uncommon. You can always install Trebuchet (not on Google Play), Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher. The three are based on the original 4.0 launcher. My personal favorite it Apex, it's the smoothest of them all and it feels like you're still using vanilla.
