can any one make leo rom without htc message

hai for all the developer , i don't like htc mesage can any one make a rom without this apliaction and restore the microsoft message , and i didn't mean like to "disable" i mean totally to restoret and will work with sense 2.5

I am also interested in this topic...I remember someone saying that it is POSSIBLE to disable HTC messaging. But I cannot recollect how nor I can find that post.

Look for freyberry's lite_nomess ROMs.

Miri did it.
All Xtralight version hi has doing without HTC Messaging and this usefull. I flash full version only because I wish to have MMS messages right from Camera Mode....

co0kies theme requirement

Hey Guys,
Since Android hasn't finished yet i will not switch over yet, and wait wil switching OS.
instead of that i will use an Theme for the TP2. ( co0kies Home Tab )
i found co0kies home tab theme very great, as i searched for further info i found out that i need Manila 2.5 ( 2.5.1920, 2.5.1921, 2.5.1922, 2.5.2011, 2.5.2012 )
Where can i get this? After many hours of searching i found out that it might already be on the phone, but i dont know what version is on it.
can someone help me with this? Co0kie wrote this to find it out.
To check your Manila version: go to the settings tab in Sense, select "About phone", and then "Software Information".
If you have any problems with this mod please report your full Manila version (e.g. 2.5.xxxxxxxx), the device and ROM you are using.
Where is this tab named "Sence" ?
Can't find it anywhere x'D.
So, do i have Manila ?
If i dont, Where can i get this?
If i do, How can i see what version?
And if i found out what version, What is this tab named "Sence"
Another thing is that if something goes wrong, how can i return to the normal WM 6.5 ( NON - MODDED / THEMED )

If you're still on the stock ROM that came with the phone, then you don't have Sense 2.5
The only way to get sense 2.5 in this case is to flash a rom with it. You should be able to get all the necessary information in the rom development forum

"Sense" is the entire pretty little graphical interface that you're playing with...the clock, the tabs on the slider, and everything in those tabs, is all the interface that HTC built to go on top of Windows Mobile. HTC has been calling their shell "manilla" for a long time, Sense is just the latest generation of that. There is no "sense tab", and the exact location of where you can see your sense version varies....which carrier's model of TP2 are you using?
However, it's kind of moot...like ctbear said, if you're still running the stock rom, you're not on 2.5 anyway, most likely 2.1, so you'll still need to flash a ROM if you want to use co0kie's home tab

i live in europe, and my carrier is Hi.nl so i dont really know what model im using..

Hey guys, flashing a ROM isn't the only way to get 2.5 on the phone. I followed the directions in the "Manila Sense 2.5 cab?" thread (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=661941) after a Task29 and a couple of hard resets using the stock TMOUS 6.5 ROM...I have 2.5 running fine with the CAB from post #4 of that thread. I put CHT and CHT Editor on and all is well. It's way easier to use a Energy ROM, but I was having problems with messaging and connectivity so I went back to the stock ROM. As I said, all is well...going on the 3rd day with the setup and haven't had any hiccups. No tinfoil hat phantom usage issues, either.
YMMV, obviously.

If you got the phone from KPN/HI you will have an unlocked TP2 for which you can get the latest Rom on the HTC website. Manillaversie: 2.5.20121225.0 is Sense 2.5. Original Dutch Rom should be 2.07.404.1 NLD.
If you need any more info let me know. You can also send me a Pb in Dutch if that would be easier for you.

In Norway the TP2 is now coming with Sense 2.5 as standard stock ROM.
To the question, slide the slider at the bottom to right(all the way) then you'll be at the settings tab, follow cokie's instructions from there...

I myself havnt tried it as I DO flash roms. However, Xhero doesn't seem to know much about anything on this phone... nor to use the search feature... nor how to use google and search "The difference between Manilla and sense" Soooooo I wouldn't recommend flashing a phone just yet to him/her.
Xhero... do your reading.. LOTS of it before you start trying to customize your phone. You dont want to screw it up and then have to come back and start a new thread asking how to hard reset your phone... Please please learn how to search the forums too. The best advice that can be given to a new user. If its too difficult to use that search key in the top right of EVERY page on every thread on XDA then in google search what you are looking for and type "XDA" after it..... ie.. "Manilla 2.5 install cab XDA" or something like that and Bingo Bango you'll be brought to the thread!
A little research and common sense goes a long way. Have fun with your phone and remember to post relevant questions in the appropriate threads and you'll likely get your answers super quick!

I have allready guided him to the correct Romupdate from HTC. Yes there are other ways of getting Sense 2.5 but this is now the easiest way for him to obtain it.
In the Netherlands the TP2 is also now being shipped with Sense as I got mine last Saturday with the new Sense on there.

[Q] [SOLVED] Lock screen notification not working

Hello,
I am having issues with lock screen notifications (see pic).
I have a missed call as you can see the notification bar. However, it isnt shown on the lockscreen. I am not sure why this is so...

Rom - self cooked rom with 2.5 manila - rhodium packs (also tried 2016 & 2017 manila).

Did you include bronze* packages in system ? When I had this problem...I had included them and it worked...not sure if they are the root-cause though

i dont use it and am happy using sense.

HTC Hero Android 2.1 disable HTC Sense

I Have an unlocked HTC Hero running android 2.1
The device is very laggy so I thought I'd try running the standard Android interface instead of HTC Sense.
I found tutorials on how to do this on Android 1.5 but this does not seem to work for 2.1
I went to: Menu - Settings - Applications
Found: Htc Sense
Clicked on: Clear Defaults and Forced Stop
Htc sense stopped but started right up again without asking me to choose between "Home" (standard UI) and "Htc Sense".
Maybe the 2.1 unlocked ROM comes without the standard ui, if so, any way to get it without installing a custom ROM?

On a Sense ROM you can not disable sense, the best you can do is install a different launcher (i.e. Launcher Pro or ADW) and use that one instead.
Try one of the 2.2 CM-based ROMs found in the development section.
They are all based on the CyanogenMod and do not have Sense
I would recommend either my Floyo (see my signature) or Elelinux ROMs, they are both up-to-date (based on CM6.1 RC1 code) and come pretty well tuned right out of the box.

Unfortunately, we have some problems with our EGL graphic libs, so there are some graphic glitches. Most annoying one (and the only one i've noticed so far) - is that some widgets and all shortcuts are not shown on the desktop.
They actually are on desktop, they can be moved or deleted, but we can't see them.
So, maybe, you won't get full sense 3 experience until we'll fix it.

And another thing that reduces the impression - it's wrong resolution.
Sensation has same screen, but it has bigger resolution - 960x540, we have 800x480, so you won't see some parts of the screen (bottom parts).
I don't know now if someone can be done to fix this.
So please, notice: I REMOVED HtcLockScreen by default (you'll see default android lockscreen) because you can't unlock it after boot. But actually, I included this app below, so you can flash it via CWR and look at it (it will be unlockable)

He is porting it to the thunderbolt and he did say he'll try to get it for us too.

Basically all of the devs for all of the phones are in the exact same position. Go read the Evo forum and their port thread. It boots just like the DHD, but nearly everything is broken (including the new lockscreen which I bet is what 99.9999% of people begging for this port care about) so its basically useless.

Shouldn't this be in the DEV section???

What are the EU and TMOUS versions for? Could I theoretically just flash the lockscreen over a sense-based rom?

Ok our devs have been trying to port this but it seems that it is possible but until we get our gingerbread leaked rom than we won't have any gingersense or sensation ports. All the devices taht ahve ports have recieved their leaked gingerbread we haven't so we are kind of left out.
