Hi all, noobie cook here. I tried updating to 6.5.3 on my HD2 but found that because the menu is now at the bottom of the screen the HTC Sense interface is out of alignment. There is now a gap between the top bar and the Sense interface.
I found that the HTC volume controller doesn't work either.
Could you guys please tell me how to fix this as I am sure a lot of cooks have managed to fix it (looking at the existing custom ROMs available here).

In case you're using an older manila you get this issue. To correct it try to search for position fix. You will find several methots to fix it, but I'd suggest to use one of the latest (TMOUS) manila. They're already compatible with wm 6.5.x.

Many thanks for your quick reply Tistitus. Do you know if there is a list of the main Manila folders in EXT so that I can use the TMOUS one? I mean the one similar to the T-Mo UK version ie. minus the doc viewer which I don't like/need but takes a lot of space.

I Found that if you download sense 2_5_2016 WVGA LOC - you can download from this site, and drop the packages into the Ext packages folder it resolves the issue.
Hi all, I've been seeing references to this new version in new custom ROMS and was wondering if somebody could tell me where I can find this or better still the Official HTC ROM from which it comes.

Oboe Debug ROM (Manila 2015)
I used this it contains manila 2015 in Chinese though. I removed all the 0804 packages and replaced with 0409. Seems to work fine. I cant seem to get the new WVGA HTC lockscreen working though. Gives me default windows one everytime even though I am including the new starticonloader.
Also stay away from the new messaging client. I replaced the graphics to get rid of the Chinese characters. But it still gave me problems. The rest of the updated packages seem to be working OK

This took a complete rebuild of my kitchen, many many hours.
Basically the ROM got so bloated with goodies (not that we don't have enough RAM); that I thought it might be a good idea to start from scratch, slim it down and see what happens

I only build ROM's for the HD2, and fully test all ROM's posted here on my T-Mo US HD2 1024LEO.
I want to give thanks to RSTOYGUY for all his help and the kitchen!

Remember with any ROM to be installed onto a HD2 you must first HSPL3 your phone read about it here:
HSPL3 new version by cotulla This will HSPL your phone for all versions up to ROM V 2.13 & SPL to 2.10
These ROM(s) do not include a Radio, if you wish to update (or change) yours see about it here: LINK
Lots of radios available now; get them if you want to test them out! Just remember if you are 1024 do NOT use the .51 radio's!
I suggest using the latest 2.12.50.02; just do a little searching and it's out there and works GREAT!
Also PLEASE do a task 29 prior to installing any ROM as this will clear any reminents from prior ROM's. This one is very simple to use here is the LINK

NOTES:
To go from 300KB send to 1024KB send in messaging do the following:
Open HTC Messaging, Menu, Settings, Options, Menu, MMS Server, T-Mobile MMS (or yours), (Scroll down) Messages size limit (change to 1024) DONE!
To change the slider (internet tab) from CMCC search to Google:
Open Internet tab click, Menu, Set Search Engine, Select "Google". DONE!

I have been working on a Slider TAB for the HD2.
These are White "orb's" with red pictures, nothing fancy, if you want to give it a try here it is (You can uninstall it later):
Beta V2 Red Orb Slider (Works in Sense 2012-2016).
I fixed the placement of all the tabs
Here is another one; how about a matching "Start" button for 6.5.X only.
Just install and reboot your phone and they will appear!

I love lite roms, so I'm glad to see this.
Nibbley I installed your Nibbley Edition ROM 6.5 (21907) SENSE 2016 Light rom but for some reason when ever i get a call theres no sound (ringtone), also when i try to change the ringtone theres no sound and no matter what ringtone you pick it changes. Its something going on with the rom, because ive installed some others and they dont have this issue

Thanks for letting me know; I'll give it another lookover and fix it.
EDIT: Have the new 21908 Built with all the fixes done; and 23569 fixed. Updates are uploading tonight, when they are all done I'll update the first page.

I'll look to see the file there on the long press, I know I cooked in everything for that to work, but I also see that you solved
The second, I'll have to cook it into the ROM because I removed all traces of it. If I get enough requests for it I can gladly add it back in.
i install the v6.1 lite for a day already everything works good beside that once i try to call someone i press the call key the lower half still on the main screen and the top half is the contact list and it happen for a day until i charge the battery back to 80% and higher the keypad comes back up i think is the battery life cause that happen cause i didnt change any option i didnt touch the phone at all just charge it and it comes back up automatic. any fix for that? if there is any fix already please help! thank you
ps: what is the different between 6.1 lite 23569 and 6.5.5 23569 full and where i can get the 6.5.5 one i would like to try it cause ur rom a just amazing, the best.

The keyboard disappearing only happens the first time you install the ROM; if you perform a soft reset (turn off and phone back on) the keyboard will always be there.

The differences, the lite version only has a few tabs, the full version packed with lot's of extras. If you read the forum in the link it will tell you exactly what is included.

The 23569 has a few glitches in it; the most stable builds are the 6.5 series (since 6.5.X is just a development). I am looking into going with a different set of 6.5.5 files to see if I can clear this up.

Yes, 6.5.5 is Windows 6.5.5 (The build info on the first page will show)
The V6.1 is just so you can keep track of what version you last downloaded

To change the icons/battery bar basically the top portion that is known as the "taskbar" if you are running 6.5 make sure it says compatable with 6.5. If you are running 6.5.5 or the soon to be available 6.5.3 then make sure it says it's compatable with 6.5.X.
To change the main clock make sure it's compatable with cookie's home tab 1.8.
For the regular icons (start menu etc) just download the ones you want and install them. What you are looking for are .cab files download them to your phone and install them onto your "device" if you install them to your SD card then it will slow your phone down.

HD2 is WVGA right? I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've cooked that EXT package in my WVGA kitchen and it works fine. Are you sure there is nothing else wrong?

Max manila does not work for 2017, 2018 & 2019 version. I think it works for 2016 version if I remember correct.

Has anyone ever modded Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled?
I am getting an HTC Leo (1024 Tmo) and I would like to have Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled.
I did this for manila 2.0 for my QVGA (Tmo Wing) by enabling the tabs in the HTCHome xml and adding the correct images, etc...
But when I was unpackaging the latest Leo image I see that all the manila files are labled "0b1b17c3_manila."
And I don't see an xml file to edit.
I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking. If you're talking about simply cooking in the regedits for enablement/disablement of tabs on boot up, then it's:

Yes. Thank you. That is what I was looking for. To be honest I didn't know about the registry values. I only know what I did use from cooking for QVGA devices.

Can you point me in the right direction (link-wise) to cook Sense into my ROMs?
My ultimate goal would be to have the latest Sense version with all the tabs enabled for my HD2 (1024).

This rom includes latest Manila version (2.0.20163224) from HTC Mega. HTC HD2 Skin.
It reflects latest HTC M2D development, although there are some glitches due to compatibility with Opal.

Note. After flashed, the rom needs some hours to settle down, so in the first hours it can slow down sometimes. After 1 day it will be working 100%.
Note 2. Overclocking makes the device faster. The processor this way can handle better some processes. I recommend to overclock to 276mhz with OmapClockPlus, attached to this post.

Questions, suggestions and fixes
- Start Menu Background. To set Start Menu background the same as Manila background, go to Settings Tab, Wallpaper: select another image as background, after a few seconds click again on Wallpaper and set Default (as you will be asked). Now both Manila and Start Menu backgrounds are the same.
- MEGAOpal Home Tab. To update Weather on Home Tab: update weather on Weather Tab, then install this cab and reboot.
- 29007 builds. Volume Buttons. Wait some minutes before pressing Volume Buttons when you start up the phone. If volume buttons does not work, go to Settings Tab and click on Sound option: after the menu pops up the buttons will work. If pressing the buttons the device freezes, restart and try again. Overclocking the device can solve this problem (i use OmapClockPlus, attached to 1st post, set to 276mhz).
New touch flo (Manila 2D)
This ROM is good and extremely fast!!! It would be great if you can add the new touch flo for this and upload it too.... Even though the new touch flo reduces the performance just a little bit, it would be a awesome eye candy and completely worth it!!

I am glad of the positive feedbacks.
In the next days/weeks i will work on WM6.5.X, Iolite/Jade Manila, Mega Manila.
I want to give 3 lines of rom:
- OpalOplus (with Opal Manila), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
- OpalJade/OpalIolite (with Manila from Jade or Iolite), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
- MegaOpal (with Mega Manila), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
So you can choose between the lighter+faster Manila and the latest Mega...with also the possibility of a version in the middle.
EDIT:
Since Opal, Iolite and Jade EXT packages and Manila are similar...i decided to give only 2 lines of rom: OpalOPlus (with Manila 1.x and packages from all 3 devices) and MEGAOpal (with Mega Manila).

i am glad you like the rom.
New OpalOplus updated!!!
- Fixed some glitches.
- Now it includes Jade Manila (1.2.1913.1530): it is an evolution of Opal Manila with the same speed and some new functionality, like Google Maps.
- Updated EXT packages.
- Internet Tab now launches Opera 10.
- Overall better than 02jan version.
- It is highly recommended to upgrade to this version, since it is a major update.
The old version was fast...but this one is faaaster!!!
In the next days i will rebuild a MEGAOpal version, based on latest mix of Opal, Iolite, Jade and Mega packages.
It will be faster and consume less ram than the 7th jan version.

i tried ur rom it is super fast but got some problems.i used mega 6.5.x.most application's option key is not working.issues with messaging its option key not working.problems with gprs also net is not connecting.i hard reset 2 times but it does't fix the issues.please give me a solution i like ur rom

only cooker can fix them just by recooking rom
so wait for new and buggless roms form master chef Monfro

I have seen this morning that when i receive a call (OpalOPlus 29007)the image and the name of the caller aren't displayed.
I know some wm6.5.x give these kind of problems: i can fix them by changing dialer or editing the actual.
EDIT: FIXED ON 18-01-2011. It was a problem of 29007 build.

in OpalOPlus i don't know but in MegaOpal dialer works well, no such issue
