Default launcher resets after holding home - Galaxy S II General

When I hold home to switch apps, and then press home again anytime after that to go to my homescreen, it always asks which launcher I want to user even though I check the Set to default
What is happening here
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App

Im thinking its because the menu that pops up when holding home is a party if touchwiz, so it resets the default
If there A fix for this, or an alternative?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App

anyone? really annoying
surely this happens to other people to use an alternative launcher

Only way I found to fix it is to freeze the TW launcher with Ti Backup

I'm using launcher pro and I do not have this problem.

Great, now that I'm using WidgetLocker with HomeHelper, this problem is happening again
And I cant just freeze one like last time
Any other ideas on what I can do?

Stock 2.3.4 home launcher

Does anyone's home screen have to re-draw the icons after you exit an app using the home button?

Sometimes. I wonder what triggers it. I dislike it because it's slow to do so.
what redraw?

Go locker causing go launcher to restart

Sometimes when in on apps such as opera mini and stick cricket go launcher restarts itself when I exit the app using the home button. How do I stop this?

LGD802 touch lag

Hello, whenever I tap on an app or something in an app it takes about 0.5s for it to actually recognize that I tapped an app, however tapping the softkeys or swiping left and right seems fine, I have the international version stock rooted with TWRP

Do you use Nova launcher? I have the same issue, and when i switch back to stock launcher it gets better. Not only on launcher itself but also within launched app. Never had a similar issue on android.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2479892
Already did
I had the same problem, I was actually returning the phone. I did a factory data reset in settings and it fixed my problem for now.

If anyone is still having this problem, I flashed a new ROM and it fixed the issue, it's now working great.

I can't get adw to stick as my default launcher

I can't seem to get this launcher to stick.
I'm not rooted btw. Tia
It's been a while but I think the trick is to remove ALL of the widgets from the touchwiz screens. I fought with the same issue when moving from my Charge to the Note 3.
Edit: I'm still not rooted either.

does that include folders?
Can't say for sure. I deleted everything and started clean - no apps, no widgets, nothing. I think the widgets are all that matter since many of them are always "active".

Has any one else run I to this problem...cuz it's driving me nuts
Nothing?
I will be setting up my wife's Note 2 this weekend with ADW. Will keep notes as to what I had to do and will pass it along. I know it was the same issue with Charge and this beast.

Try long pressing the home button, then select task manager, then select clear defaults and then clear the default launcher. When you press the home screen again it will ask which launcher, select ADW and tap always.

Yep That will do it.

OT: I conversed with you over at the Charge forum. I got my Note3 last Wednesday, I'm in love and my wife's jealous. She got a S4 and is complaining about her battery running down.
On Topic: I'm using Next Launcher and didn't have any problems with it and my touchwiz setup.
