Just dropping in to confirm I got one with mine, too. Nice surprise to see it in there, but totally didn't expect it. Went so far as to look for older compatible chargers before I found it in the box.

Mine was in the shipping box from Expansys-USA. The adapter is big, won't fit in the SGS2's box no matter what you try.

By "us" I take it you're with Expansys USA. Any chance of getting a US warranty with the GS2?
(I'm on the fence on this device, primarily due to all the posts I've read regarding having to get a replacement, or more than one, due to some HW problem. It's impossible to quantify the failure rate by reading forums like this, but the prospect of possibly having to swap phones via shipments to the UK has got to be putting off some buyers.)

Yes, buy it through an authorized dealer in the UK and then you can have it serviced by Samsung in the U.S. under their global warranty program. If it's a UK product, with a UK invoice, billed in GBP, you're covered worldwide.
Expansys USA is acting as an intermediary and shipping the phone back to the UK for service via their UK office. It's really cool that they're doing that. But it adds several days each way that you'll be without your phone.
BTW, do we really need two pages of posts on the incredible inclusion of a $5 UK>US adapter?

I was refunded my money via online banking. It's very strange!
I check my order online daily to make sure when and if my DVP have shipped. My order is still on the dell website and shows that it's still in production.
However, the weirdest thing is that I was refunded my money when I checked my online-banking account today. I also have no records of it on my account that I ordered anything from dell recently. Absoluetly no records at all. Not even a purchase or a cancelation. All I know is that I have the $500.00 money back for odd some reason.
I don't know whether this means they're going to cancel my order online without telling me because they no longer have my money.
I purchased with a debit card. My account is healthy as hell.
Anyone have this happened to them before?
dont spend that money what dell does is charges your card for the order initially but since you arent getting a device they can only put a temp hold on the amount after a few days your card issuer releases the hold but right when youyr device is gonna ship dell will charge you again. so make sure that money is there.
They did that too me too, but my bank has been doing this to me for almost every thing I buy thats over $100. I guess the bank just does that to make sure the charges aren't fraudulent or something. Eventually the money gets charged again but sometimes it takes up to a week after I even receive the thing.
I do have a student account though.

Dell does place a hold to make sure you have the funds when you place the order, which essentially shows up as a "charge" on your account, but when the hold expires (usually a week), the money is back in your account because it was never really taken out. When the device is shipped, the account will actually be debited for the amount, so yes, as Shaun231 said, don't spend the money or there will be an error when Dell debits it for real during shipping.

My friend who works for dell said sdome will be shipped tomorrow he always give me correct info. he said the problem they are having is microsoft wanting replacement devices for their store and dell wants the online orders stock to be fulfilled so there fighting over who has to wait online or store. i mean people should just be happy to get a replacement battery after using my hd7 and my surrond at home I notice they both have the wifi issue as the dvp was reported to have. So i assume its software.

That's weird - is this a broader issue that has been posted on the HD7 and Surround forums? I had the HD7 for 2 weeks and it had no problems connecting to (and staying connected to, after waking from sleep/lock) my secured wireless network.

You need to get to the thousand (last 4 digits) or beyond to compare. eg:7714 (714) is earlier than 8114 (114)

I just bought mine from an Amazon seller (Warehouse Distributors). It was $684 with free shipping.
It just shipped, so I'll update you guys. I am a bit worried that they will screw me somehow (seem small, don't have their own domain for email or website), but calling them got to a live person, and seem friendly enough. In fact, they were able to pricematch when their price dropped a day later by $14 (was $698 when I ordered).
I hope it's not an open box or a box of rocks. Actually, if it was a box of rocks, it'd be suspicious even without opening since the phone is super light!
Either way, I'll update you guys on how it went. I'm expecting the phone by the end of this week.

I was hesitant about buying from most of the import sites in the US but surprisingly mobilecityonline has far less negative reviews than other sites dealing the sgs2 such as popularelectronics.com or negri. I received it just like they promised via fedex no issues. They even called me and emailed me to confirm my purchase and stressed that i have 14 days to return it.
The only gripe is that they listed it as the UK version but when i got it, it said Samsung Romania on the label and included non-english manuals. Also, the US power adapter that came in the box isn't working for me. No biggie tho bc everything else checked out. Used it for 2 days now and so far im satisfied.

Finally got it yesterday. Was in a unpadded box. But turned out okay for the most part.
Had a US power supply. Looks like a Latin America model (primary language on the box was Spanish, and so was the manual).
I found 5 green pixels when viewing a dark gray background.
ordered mine last week from amazon for 689 with FREE prim 2 day shipping. I payed the extra 3.99 for one day shipping. I had no issues with the shipping process, everything went smooth. One important thing i will add though is that when i recieved my phone the battery was completely dead, i had to keep the phone on the charger for about an hour and a half before i could turn it on. Eventually i put the phone in download mode and then pressed the down volume rocker which restarts the phone. My version was in polish, so it took a few moments to find the language setting and switch it to english. I found the whole preces pretty cosmical and my friends think im crazy for purchasing an unlocked european phone. But then again they all have Blackberrys so there opinion is moot lol. Im loving my phone right now and dont remember the last time i was this satisfied from an expensive purchase.
edit... i just read that some people had some worries about the shipping condition. my phone was shipped in two boxes. the first was the standard shipping box. then it was in a bigger cell phone style box. similar to what you would get from a carrier. this box was a little beat up, but thankfully the official samsung box was inside in great condition and still sealed. so for who ever was wondering, my us dongle was in the second box not the official samsung box where the actual phone, earphones, sync cable, and euro charger was in.

In the US, Amazon sells it without a warranty. Of course, there are several places in the US that will include a warranty, but it's usually more expensive.
US customers are getting jacked.

I'd order it from Expansys-USA. UK inventory is plentiful now so you'll get a UK phone which, unless you intend to mod it heavily, is your best bet for updates. They also ship the phone back to the UK for service for you during the two-year warranty period. If the screen dies on a phone without a warranty the replacement cost is 300 GBP ($477 USD). Something to think about.

I rooted the same day so I'm not too familiar with stock. However, I read WiFi Sharing and the Samsung apps/hubs are battery killers. I'm running Cognition 1.08 with SetCPU and Tasker. I haven't used it too much today, but I'm at 75% after 18 hours.

I just looked at expansys they want to charge me tax on a phone that is being shipped to texas. The price ends up being cheaper if I just order it from the UK again.
I got mine from Amazon (US) and received the UK version of the device. They give you 30 days for a refund and in my experience, most software and hardware issues rear their head within that time frame. Two other friends of mine also ordered from Amazon and received UK version.
Cloves is also another good site to look at. Most people who have ordered from their have been happy.

Yes, same one month return policy. There is really nothing wrong with using it. However, all else equal, I prefer to deal directly with Amazon.

Fair enough. One thing Amazon told me was because it was fulfilled by, if there was a defect they'd have to give me a refund due to it being another company's stock. If it was Amazon directly then they could replace.

Web, phone, SMS, txt,video calls, emails.. etc... Do it ALL just like a Galaxy Note..

It was on a list of devices that Samsung Italy released would receive ICS. I am not holding my breath for when it will happen but I would guess it will. This seems to be their premier device so I would think they would want to.

i just tried their website and it's broken

I was browsing around and stumbled upon sgbest.com website in Singapore. Anyone ever use them? Looked like the 7.7 wifi only would run $575 with shipping to the US.
no way i'm not buying anything from those Asian based shippings
not for something worth $700
for a cheap $3 accessories i don't mind, but for something some expensive i want original
same reason why i've not yet put any order on any of those ebay sellers, as they are.... not trust worthy IMO

Judging by their volume, they're probably a retail outlet in Singapore. There were no duty or customs fees, although the insert did say "personal documents". Whatever.
well... I am happy to save 37 US $$ and wait 3-5 more days... I can use that dough for a case and screen protex.. and may be a 5$ Sub sandwich.... cold cut combo!!!! toasted.

I bought mine from them. No problems at all. But I do live in Singapore and went to their office to collect...my precious...personally, from someone who turns out to speak with a Korean accent to boot.
I just pulled the trigger on one from ebay. the seller has sold 7 in the last month and no bad ratings. Got it for $550 + $10 shipping for 2 day fedex. Can't wait till it gets here! I also got a case from cellguru before the price increase and sounds like they are out of stock now too

I love how it's the same price for leather or plastic.
If only it was compatible with Verizon, I'd pick it up from T-Mobile.
Well I've tried to but it would appear that T-Mobile is not interested in my business. I kept getting an error that my information couldn't be verified and I'd need to go into a store which I won't be doing. I cannot believe how wireless carriers can screw up the simplest of tasks like purchasing a phone. I give you my address information, my credit card info and you send me a phone.. Not rocket science...

T-Mobile is REALLY good at pre-orders, as long as the system doesn't mess it up. I ordered my S6 the first day, 3/27 (a friday) and got it 3/30 (that monday). No complaints at all, aside from the phone being an overpriced defective POS.

The UK, Netherland versions e.g. carphonewarehouse etc come with the plastic backs if you ordered a leather version. This has been confirmed. I'm only hoping the U.S. variants will do the same.

Didn't those leather versions cost more though? It would be nice, I just don't see why they would unless the leather was more expensive.

I don't know, but that link I listed is a Tmobile unit (non US). I wasn't sure on the pricing structure in those countries. Since I haven't seen a retail unboxing of TMO's G4, I will hold on to hope. Most likely won't happen though.

1) You pay $50 or so in taxes (at least I did as a NY resident). I was hoping it would be tax free because online, but alas, tis not.
2) There is a mandatory $15 SIM Starter Kit that you have to pay for
3) There is no TMo logo on the phone according to customer service
4) You will need to apply for an unlock code by submitting an unlock request by calling customer service at 1-877-746-0909. That is, if you plan to use a different carrier like me.
5) As stated on Droid-Life by SDotNYC, you must go to www.lgg4t-mobilepromo.com to get the 128GB SD card by submitting proof of purchase by July 6th.

The website for the free SD card finally started working for me but you have to submit a copy of your receipt and a picture of the box showing your IMEI or MEID. So you can't actually submit anything until you get the phone.

Mine gives me a generic message asking for MEID and receipt and to come back when I have them. Site must not be fully live yet. No place to enter that info.

I plan to use it on Cricket (basically AT&T). I compared the bands specs via a document on Droid-Life and PhoneArena and the bands are the same as they were on the LG G3 which works with both AT&T and Cricket obviously.
How to order without upgrade or adding a line
Gee, I hope I'm not thick, but the only options I see for buying are upgrading or adding a new line. Someone kindly explain how to buy without the hoops.
