I guess you probably gonna update your ROM. Did you update it ever since you installed NAND Android? In addition, some version of ROM are known to have problem with the Android market.
Hi thanks for replying.
Its not just the android market that isn't working. No apps seem to install & my pc does not detect the phone when connected with a usb wire to synch with my pc. It does however still detect the memory card for file transfers.
A real head scratcher this, I'm afraid of losing all my contacts if I restore the original NAND.

Hey guys, ive done some searching but don't seem to be able to find anything that will fix this.
Whatever app I try to download from the market app I get the message that is in the title.
I have cleared the android market app cache and the download manager cache but still the same problem, im at a loss with this and the only thing I can see to do is wipe and start again, but I don't really want to do this so any ideas on how tho fix it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I know this happens with some, not all apps, regularly with HD2 Android builds. The trick in these scenarios is to unmount your SD card and then download these apps. If it's happening to all of your apps, I'm afraid I don't have the answer.
It seems that the Android Market is down. I have similar issues, tried all the known tricks and then saw Twitter...
Sincerely,
Mac

Im sorry can you explain unmount for me lol sorry because I'm having that same problems for some apps that I want from marketplace.
This is really strange. I just managed to download/install Current Widget, but I cant even begin to download Angry Birds. It began downloading Retro Clock Widget, but stopped halfway through, and just says "Download Unsuccesfull"..

Settings -> SD Card -> Unmount
Download/install apps from Market
Settings -> SD Card -> Mount
It doesnt seem to help me right now, though..
I'm having some issues as well, it would seem. Some apps installed but some just hang there when they get to %100. Very glad i did a Titanium backup before I wiped my sd card.
Same problem here from yesterday. I think is not a "hd2" related issue, but is a market issue.. until yesterday all worked fine...

same here i hit install and i wait forever and still 0%???

Just had a quick question as to a possible solution to get market downloads to succeed. I have tried clearing data, rebooted MANY times, and even did a hard-reset on my WinMo ROM, but to no avail. Please help!! Also I apologize if this question was already asked or answered.. if so please provide a link to the thread. Thanks in advance
UPDATE: Yes the market is now working for me. Thank God!! Downloads happened instantaneously.
the market seems to be messed up
either that, or they started denying requests from 1234567890abcdef device id

Or can somebody tell me how to uninstall the android correctly ?

Ya the same, my HD2 start having this problem since yesterday
is it a android virus or wht?
but ya anything related with network are all fuk up and force closed second after open
BTW my way to fixing it may not be the best....but at least it work for me atm...
for some reason market didn't crash..i just uninstall and reunstall all the app got the problem and it work so far.....
1 thing i have found is angry birds have disappear and uninstalled without me knowing that...don't know if there is anything to do with it
reinstall angry birds and fix time at phone

Problems like these are almost always fastest to solve with a reflash (or removing data.img for SD builds). There are probably other less drastic solutions too, but it generally takes ages before one figures them out. Just backup your stuff using Titanium Backup (CWM Nandroid is an option too, but has more chance of being unsuccesful because it may just restore the corrupt stuff too, always worth trying that first though because it's way faster to restore) and have a fresh start.
same here on a dhd
created this for dhd devices :=)
no solution yet

Just solve the problem on my HTC HD2 applications force to stop error, no need to soft of hard reset required no need to update or re-install ROM, Go to Manu >Rome Manager ( My version is v4.8.1.3 > Utilities > TAP ON Fix permissions ( Fix file system permissions, this often fixes force close problems) after waiting few minutes reboot and enjoy ...............

You can just uninstall them.
And if that does not work you might want to check into Zune, but most apps are linked to your Live ID and not to zune.
checking Live ID out is worth the while as well hope I gave you some tips.
Thats what I did long before... uninstalled the apps.
In Zune I can't finde a menu like my apps... The same with the live ID...
This has never happened for me, did you do anything special to get it working?
Nooo I don't think so...
First Rom was the Moonlight and now I installed Xbmod.
Activation by using a activation key from MS installing apps via Market and other XAP's by using Application deployment from the SDK....
Any apps you have downloaded from Zune will auto install for you. Any apps you have downloaded form the market place on your phone will not auto install for you.
At the moment you can not remove the apps from the Zune list, hopefully this will be added to a later version of Zune soon.
Thanks for the great help from the development team and those from the AAHKsupport IRC, espcially attn1, Zanzibar and many others.
Originally I tried to use ubuntu live CD to run the hack environment but it failed trying to chmod hack-ace.sh to 755. I gave up after few times of downloading, unzipping, logging in as root, etc.
Then I ran the hack kit from the Win 7 environment, luckily I didn't have Apple / iPhone stuff installed on that machine. After removing the HTC Sync, antivirus and adware programs from the PC, I ran the windows version of the hack kit.
The whole process is so smooth that it took 8 minutes from "pressing 1" to finish. During the process, there is nothing I need to interfere and all data and apps are intact as before.
Now it is time for me to learn how to install custom rom and hopefully try out the full functionality of this DHD.
AAHK and other contributors, great job!
this is best way to hack the dhd thanks
Excellent to hear that, I am about to try this myself. I used to mess around jailbreaking and customizing on my iPhone but haven't with my Android yet.

Its good to know that you have done it successfully. Can you share the weblink or steps to root DHD. Actually I am novice in this stuff. But I need to root my DHD to update it to the latest ICS rom
Just follow the detailed instructions by attn1:

Did you guys have any trouble getting your phone detected by the kit? I keep trying but it always throws out a "Phone not connected or Drivers not installed or USB Debugging not turned on" error when I have the first and last covered and explicitly installed the drivers included with the kit.
I've tried using the Ubuntu Live CD technique as well, but I get an 'Error connecting to HTC phone' message.
I can mount it as a disk drive easily enough, I just can't get the thing to register.

AAHK has an IRC support. They are very helpful. Just re-read the effen manual twice AGAIN and be ready to ask them.
After reading 250 pages of post of the IceColdSandwich ROM, I have just installed this ROM. Wiping data, cache, dalvik and installing the ROM took only 10 minutes.
Now, it's the time to experience Android 4.0 on the Desire HD.
After installing the new rom will remain the data contacts, applications?

Need full wipe before installing the ROM, i.e. all data will be gone.

Data in your SD will be untouched. It is highly recommended that you perform fullwipe before installing new ROMS to avoid bugs and other issues. Actually, its a MUST for many scenarios.
You contacts will be restored if you enable google to sync your contacts. SMS will not be retained, however, u can download "SMS backup and restore" in Google Store, its free.
Apps however, will be gone. Unless you've backed them up(i'd recommend titanium backup). For paid apps, don't worry, u can simply download them again from google store.

Looks like they are on external sd card and there is a read/write issue with some apps here.
If you are rooted there is a fix. Most custom roms include the fix though if you search you will find how to do it yourself.
Otherwise you will need to wait until the apps are updated and write to different partitiion
Hey not-i im on crash rom v6 and I was on his thread and another user installed a few of the apps and reported no probs, I hope it has to do with the apps not my at the least, thanks bro for ur help....
