wow! nice app.

doesnt work outside usa

Only work with specific devices like:
• HTC Incredible with Android 2.2
• HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3
• HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2
• HTC G2 with Android 2.2
• Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3
If your device is the above list, you can directly download Netflix .apk file from here.

I used the mediafile link and installed the netflix app wihout problem: easiest to register on your pc first but the movies stream to either your pc or galaxy whichever you are using.
30 day free trial, $7.99 a month in Canada after that.

well this is the galaxy s forum.... so i would of expected to get that much. and i'm pretty sure the title explains what the file is! so anyways i'm running darky's RC6 rom and i'm on bell (as it show to the left) and it works!
i guess no one is excited as me

let me know if others are tested plz.

Android samsung i7500

I just bought a samsung i7500 galaxy its has android 1.5 loaded in it ... i just need to ask that can i upgrade it to a higher version like the 2.1
beacause feature like file transfer through bluetooth n multi-touch are not yet working... is their any stable version of android other that 1.5 that works on i7500 galaxy n can solve my prob n improve my phone features.....if thr is can u please send me a link n tell me how to do that upgrade... i'll be very greatfull...
Google for androidforums samsung i7500
If you're just looking for newer and better than 1.5, check out Drakkaz's work on Galaxo. It's up to 1.6.3.3. It works very well and much better than 1.5
If you want newer, check out the GAOSP project. It's a port of the 2.1 OS to the galaxy. It's on Beta 2 now, but still missing a couple of features.
I've been running the 1.6 for a while now and it runs extremely well and stable. 2.1 (and eventually 2.2) are coming along nicely though.

Market update

Just noticed that I now have the updated Market place on my G1 (Automatic updates, comments in a seperate tab etc)
Is this new or have I just been blind? :/
Sent from my T-Mobile G1
Your blind jk. but separating comments, auto update all the apps was an 2.2 os features, since may on the nexus one.
I know it was a 2.2 update but I thought only 2.1 & above got to see the new market, I thought us on 1.6 was stuck with the old market.
Guess not then, shows how much I used Fast Web Install from App brain then XD

[REQUEST] psfServiceMod – 0.3.1 or PS3DJB v2.5.1 for Samsung Epic 4G

If anyone is still interested in a Epic 4G psfreedom port. There is an ongoing project to bring psfreedom to more devices.

For those who have not seen a new build of psfServiceMod is on-line, lets just hope this solves the few remaining bug’s
Why bother updating?
Well to be honest if your not having any problems now, you wont really gain much by updating.
So what have you actually done?
Not much really, added creation of /sd-ext to the init script, re-worded the menu slightly, and added the option to shut the phone down from the main menu.
Well I had X problem have updated and now it’s better/worse, what can I do?
Leave a comment below, or jump on IRC #psfreedom on Freenode and let me know, what phone & what problem.
My Phone isn’t on the list, why?
Honestly, It’s my lack of experience in Android & Linux in general that’s slowing me down, also not having access to all the phones limits testing & debugging quite a lot.
I will look at as many phones as I can, when I can.
HTC Legend has been removed, why?
As my knowledge of each of the devices I target is limited, I did not realise that the bootloader on the Legend was still locked, I have removed it until such a time a unlocked bootloader is found.
It’s also for this same reason I can not make psfServiceMod for the Motorola Droid X
I have a Samsung Galaxy S, you said you were porting it, what’s going on?
This is one device I do want to get ported, as the Galaxy S is unique in that it uses the same kernel both in Rom & Recovery.
This presents a few problems for me, 1 it’s my main phone & in use daily, 2 to be able to work on the phone I am having to flash back to the JPO Rom to allow use of a custom kernel (I use JPX normally on a daily basis)
When/If I get enough funds to replace the Galaxy S (Or buy one outright Sim Free) I will be able to spend more time on the project."

Although a port for this would be even better.

That would be nice to have

Waiting for Froyo 2.2 from 3UK with full Flash support

Three has today confirmed via Twitter that the HTC Wildfire will be updated to Android 2.2 this month. The update , which launched on T-Mobile and Vodafone late last year, will be released at the end of January.
Android 2.2 is always a welcome update because it adds a number of excellent features including the ability to use your mobile to create a Wi-Fi hotspot, full Adobe Flash support and the ability to install applications on a microSD card.
The HTC Wildfire is a great value Android handset that features a 3.2 inch touch-screen and 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash. It is available in a choice of either red or black.
The HTC Wildfire is available on Three free from contracts starting at just £20 a month. The One Plan costs just £27 a month which gets you 5000 texts, 2000 minutes and "all-you-can-eat" Data. Alternatively you can get it on Pay As You Go For £189.99.

Although the wildfire cannot run flash 10.1

I still hope some changes from 3 UK will allow to run full-flash on the wildfire.
The features stated are general Android 2.2 features, not Wildfire specific ones. Because, as stated by brilldoctor, Wildfire does not support Adobe Flash Player.
oh now I see. Thank you for explaining!!!!

I think, In Sense Roms, like "SUnAaBh v1.1" the Stock browser has got a "little" flash support, but not Adobe Full Flash 10.1!! .. i think it's Flash-lite
You can open pages, where there are simple flash contents ... but you can't watch flash videos, like megavideo, etc ...
If you would like to have a little more flash support, use Skyfire Browser ... its a little bit laggy, but working
sry 4 me bad english :/
cheers
I was able to watch videos from megavideo while on my stock 2.1 browser , but since I started using wildpuzzle on 2.2, I can't..

HTC Vision YouTube ROM Showcase

-Nov. 4 2015-
I have this phone back in my hands yet again, got my mum a new phone since she hates Android. I may or may not decide to continue this series, I probably will since I'm going to start doing so on the Moto G. If there is anyone left with this phone at all that would like to see a ROM review or a ROM in action, leave a reply on the thread and I'll see what I can do. Happy watching!
-Nov. 7 2015 update-
What I'm going to do instead of like my previous recordings, I'm going to flash a ROM and use it for one week with casual use, then try and upload it the following Sunday/Monday. It might not be on a weekly basis, but I will post whenever I have a new video up. I also don't know how much I will use it on a daily basis since it's not my primary phone, but I will try to do light web browsing, occasional light gaming, and social media while also tweaking some settings and customizing it depending on the features of the rom.

That's actually what I planned on doing for this week, I'm not sure which rom since there are several good ones to choose from, I'm still figuring that out
Nice to watch :good:
Great that you're doing this I'll be adding to the vision thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348266
For suggestions on ROM videos, try to do as many different categories, you have sense, cyanogen, next miui, then maybe an aosp (guhl99s permission spoofing would be great)
Keep it up!

Great idea. Once I get a few more uploaded then I'll break up the original post into those subcategories. Hell, I take that back. I'll do it now since I have some spare time
This week's is gonna be a day late, my apologies
*Edit*
So my camera decided that it hates life, so I sadly have to skip this week's. I'll hopefully get it's problem worked out or switch over to my old external webcam
Finally found my camera charger, new upload for this week, it's a day early because I'll be busy all day tomorrow. G2 Slim v1.6 is this week's, CyanKat or Andromadus CM11 is going to be next week's.

I loved Slim's roms. I've tested some on the SGS and we had only one once on the Vision but it was good!
Would love to have SlimKat on Vision... Omni ROM look promising too but the promises of the new cyankat are impressive!
Because I am testing out demkantor's build of TWRP recovery, I will not have a video up just yet because of a bug I stumbled upon. I will however turn this from a Friday-only, I guess mini-series is the best way to explain it, into probably twice a week or so. I'll have either CyanKat or Flinny's CM11 up around Monday/Tuesday.
*Edit*
Since the person behind CyanKat is working on an update, I'm gonna postpone my video for that and focus on some other Sense and MIUI roms until it's updated. Once it is, I'll get a video on it up for you guys.
Aw come on, there's plenty of ROMs that work with my 90% working twrp, there's always my 90% working cyanmobile ROM
Keep up the good work, twice a week sounds better than one time!

New vid up, slightly longer than usual cuz I went on a rant about a few things. xD It's CoolOS's GB MIUIv3, I decided to do a MIUI build since I kept saying I'd do one but never got around to it. enjoy.
One thing I'm now going to do for you guys and gals out there is write a full review on each rom that I have done a video on, so you can get a more in-depth opinion and overview of the rom.. The first one is up in the first post, it's CoolOS's Sensei rom. Happy reading!
hope to see some new videos soon!
PS, added your great work above the ROM list FOUND HERE
Written review for G2Slim is live. New video(s) planned for the upcoming days.
New video coming up today/tomorrow after I get some rest since I just got off night shift. So, yeah. xD
I might revive this since I've been contemplating doing it with the Moto G as well, I edited the first post. Why not do both in case there are people out there still with the phone?

I'm not too sure what's out there that's specifically 2.3.4, but there are several 2.3.3 ROMs. Are you mainly after camera features, customization, speed, or all of the above?
