Google for androidforums samsung i7500
If you're just looking for newer and better than 1.5, check out Drakkaz's work on Galaxo. It's up to 1.6.3.3. It works very well and much better than 1.5
If you want newer, check out the GAOSP project. It's a port of the 2.1 OS to the galaxy. It's on Beta 2 now, but still missing a couple of features.
I've been running the 1.6 for a while now and it runs extremely well and stable. 2.1 (and eventually 2.2) are coming along nicely though.

hi Guys,
I have installed Android 2.2 froyo and had dual boot so that i can use both WM and Android but i had issues with wifi and issues with incoming & receiving calls.
have you guys running android smoothly on ur LEO?
I personally like android very much than WM but dint want to mess up so reinstalled WM.
guys any suggestion which android version runs smoothly on LEO or is it better to wait for an updated version?
The darkstone builds seem to be the most stable for me. There is a desier sp? Build that was updated I belive 9/29 that has htc sence. And also a hd2 froyo build that's older I belive last up dated 8/18 I think. But its stock android 2.2, and the build I'm using now and have been for probly close to a month and its rock solid. Compass is wacky which sucks for apps like layer that need it. And I belive blue tooth may be wacky as well but I haven't tested it myself. But go darkstone and if your using the stock tmobile win mo roll back to the 2.10 build, the new 2.12 build will give you a crazy robot voice on phone calls. Good luck do lots of reading any posible problem you could have run into has been discused on here some where so just look around

hi
just for ur info it has already been very successfully ported on the HTC tattoo
and i have used the same everything was working fine but i did not see anything great about it but the tattoo is less powerful than our phone so all we need to do is wait for one our great developers to make it happen
Yes I think too : our developers will soon make us a 2.3 Rom
I hope developers to work on this please
just try asgard by EDT ...
its like Galaxy SII without SII
i am amazed how powerfull this phone is if fully optimised.

link to the ROM please??
link? i am waiting for a stable working 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 rom. never hurts to see what fixes the various gb roms have yet so far..
still waiting for the working GPS......
How long does it take for Samsung to push 2.3 source for vibrant this time......
I am waiting for the GPS to get fixed. It is a shame we still don't have the source code for that.
The new android 4.0 is uber uber cool. Any news as to when our beloved hero htc hd2 will be able to get this ported ?
I cannot wait for the port ill be the first to try the beta when atleast 70% features working.
Let me know if u have any info on that thanks
Android 4.0 should be pushed to AOSP when the Galaxy Nexus is released. Or so I read.. Mid November ish
I suspect it will need to be a "slim" rom to work with so little memory on the phone, but I'll tru it myself as well

Hi, I was never using Honeycomb, but I had Gingerbread ("GB") - Android 2.3 on my phone. GB was okay, but when ICS - Android 4.0 was released I was looking forward to have it too...and it was good feeling. ICS has many features for faster using and maybe could help you with your problems.
By all means, upgrade. Lenovo's tablets (any Android tablet less than two or three years old, really) have more than enough capacity to handle the newer versions of Android, and the improvements Google made will make your experience better.
