dont know if this is connected to me upgrading to an 8 gig card but when running a divx movie from the card im getting a stuttering the sound is running fine but the picture isnt keeping up...tried another file but the same result..is this connected to the new card or is there a better divx player than core player that might be able to keep up???
Did you play this file before and did it play smoothly with your old card? Do you have the same ROM and do you use OmapClock?
You could try using the trial version of Pocket Mechanic to benchmark your old sd card, then your new one. It's not inconceivable that the bigger card might be slightly slower at file IO.
neither of the files would have fitted on the old card both just over 1gig so i cant say if they did but ive also put several smaller pop vids on the card and they play fine its only when i try to play large files i seem to get this
If this 1 GB file is a 2 hour movie you won't be able to play it smoothly. You can check the bitrate, video size and so on and post it here, but I'm pretty sure it's too much to handle for the Artemis.
I reencode all my movies with PocketDivxEncoder, those files are optimzied for pdas and will run even with highest settings for video and audio quality. I suppose the video you have is not a 320x240 movie, that would be one of the reasons it doesn't play very well. My files are 200-500 MB for a 2 hour movie.

Could you please post up all the settings for that profile?

exactly.
you can't expect to run a 3000bitrate dvd movie 720x520 on your pocketPC which has a CPU of 200-400 and 64mb ram
get pocketdivxencoder and recode all your movies. if you would have done this in the past already, you could have fit that 2 movies on a 1GB card, hehe.
i encode my movies using a program i cant remember the name of, but i set it to 320x240 res and they are aroud 80mb! get loads on a 1gb SD!
thanks for the advice...used pocket encoder all working fine noe ..i think the prob was the video file was an hd sourced movie so a little bit hi res

i donno if people agree with me.. but till today i have watched more than 15movies... all are of 700mb full length movies..have never used any encoders.. it used to play damn well.. i have no issues playing full length movies.. its just the right codecs had to be installed to watch any movie..
but i totally agree abt the encoding part of the movies to smaller size ....which will reduce the size.. which is def req when it comes to storage importance..
Bros, I experimented with video sharing and found this limitation when uploading files directly to youtube using the ADP1.5 firmware. Not sure why is there a limitation though, but the limit is 3mb or 1:06min video taken from the G1..

No one seems to know but here's my question:
Is there any way with root to upload a video over 3mb to youtube over 3g? Even when I connect to wifi my large 720p videos (160mb) won't upload. Is there anyways to do this over 3g?
It should let you upload over WiFi...I don't see why it wouldn't.
I've had the same issues. Seems we need a secondary youtube app just to upload large files over 3g.

OK here is the problem i'm having last night i tried to upload a video to my account from my phone running stock android 2.2 the video was shot in 720x420 mp3 5mins long at 134mb in size when ever i try to upload it the video to youtube the app would tell me i can't upload anything over 1gig i'm like i know that but the video is 134mb not 1gig. So i took the memory card out and put it on my pc it reads the video at 134mb so when i try to upload from the pc it worked with no problem. Is there something wrong with the youtube app on my phone can it not do basic math?

5.18.5 has the 2k option back. You need to install it then wipe data and cache then it will show the 2k option. Just Google the app and you can sideload it. Playing video through the desktop is buggy.
I have just downloaded 5.18.5 and that doesnt give me the 1440 option either I only have 720 p
