Creaky Button? - Xperia Arc General

Hey there, ive had my arc for about 2-3 days now, love it so far everything works perfect but today i noticed that my menu button has a creak to it sometimes when i press it a certain way ( say a little bit off the centre of the button)
..is this normal?..does anybody else have a similar problem with the same if not a diff button?..

I don't have the creaky button but i do have the battery cover creak. Maybe it's because it's brand new when the button will be more used they'll stop creak...

i hope so, since i just noticed it today a couple hours ago.. very annoying.

not 100% sure, but mine does creak when I press it off centre.. however I think the noise is the sound of my thumb 'sliding' along the button?

Mine did the same, but it stopped a week ago and haven't done it since.

Menu Button

It is just me or is the menu button on the far left side very hard to get to react. I press and press and press and it reacts sometimes but very seldom on the first try. Is it just my phone or is this a problem overall.
I would love to be able to change sensitivity for all for buttons!

My first Epic had a very unresponsive Search button, exchange fixed it.
I guess I'm in the slim percent that has had no problems with the hard buttons

I swapped mine out today and this one is miles better than the first in a lot of things. The first one must have been made on a Monday or Friday late.

STRANGE touch sensitive button problem

Just got my SGS2 and encountered a really odd problem.
When using the phone while lying down on your bed aka checking email in bed, the back key registers 2 key presses.
To reproduce it every time, just slide your finger slowly onto the back arrow from the bottom left.
This only happens while lying down and is actually pretty annoying because it makes navigating pages hard.
Anyone else have this issue?

Tried it and it's perfectly fine for me..

Actually, it happens both normally and upside down. Maybe time to get a replacement, can't be firmware right?

A couple of old threads reported that the back button is not sensitive enough and sometimes would require 2 taps for it to register the command, must be something related?
When looking into buying an s2, I was considering buying a damaged one where the touch buttons wouldn't work. Upon researching so I could find a fix and buy it cheap, it turned out to likely be a hardware issue and on a side note, most of the people that had reported similar or same issues also mentioned using a third party charger/non samsung one.
Basically the kist of the signs of problems - charger thing, erratic touch screen behavior while using the charger, intermittent issues with the soft keys not working, and eventually failure of the soft keys.
But every post I saw resulted in a successful warantee claim. Hopefully the same can be said for you if worst comes to worst
Thanks for the replies,
The phone is less than a week old so I might just have it replaced.
The double tap issue only happens when lightly/slowly pressing "back". But that is very often since the touch screen is so sensitive.. I feel like this all started after upgrading from kg7 to ki2 using kies. Oh well..

Quick question for the community: Would rolling back to KG7 from KI2 using Odin void my warranty? I want to see if the problem was still there, because the phone came with KG7 installed 10 days ago.
I noticed how the touch screen immediately got much more sensitive (too sensitive for my taste) after upgrading to KI2 in Kies. It seems like it starts registering a press when a finger is just barely hovering over the glass which makes it hard to control and the capacitive keys super jittery.
Now, both the "menu" and "back" buttons registers multiple key presses if not pressing them super firmly and quickly.
I hate this stuff... I have never once bought a phone without running into stupid problems like this.
If you only tried to flash official firmware your binary counter won't increase so you can just return to stock firmware.. Check your binary counter in download mode, if it increased even by one use a jig to reset it to zero (with old bootloader ofcourse)..

I do have this issue too, but i'll just tap it very fast to avoid the double tap. Using stock from KF1 still.

I just figured it out. The double tap only happens when the lights are off for the keys. I switched to 6 s/always on and I can't get it to double tap by itself anymore. Worth trying for others with similar problem!

[Q] Is this normal?

Guys, is it normal to hear some kind of a click when pressing down the screen? I did not notice it on three weeks since I' ve bough it but now I can hear this click on the left side of the screen, near the center of it. I am asking cause I have a Tab 7.0, the old one, and I checked it and it also have this click? But it is very annoying, as if the screen is not well fixed...
I have it on mine as well but mine is on the bottom two corners where the speakers are, noticed it a few weeks after getting tab, annoying but so far not affecting tab.

[Q] Power Button click-feel

Hey guys, I just got my Galaxy S4 today. It's an amazing phone but I'm concerned about something.
The first thing I noticed is that the Power Button seems like it's flushed inside de phone and it doesn't provide a good click-feel like the Volume buttons. It's kind of mushy.
Sometimes I don't know if I pressed the button or not. It doesn't feel like clicking, it looks like it got stuck a little inside the phone.
I would like to know if anyone feels the same. If not I'll go as soon as possible to the store and exchange for a new phone.
This is a fault. Take it back ASAP Mine feels perfect, Its slightly elevated from the phone and has a nice click feel when pressing
You do not look for a nice click, just for the responsivnes. Note it works best when pressed in the middle, also give it some time to bake in.

Alright, I'll give it some time and see if it goes back to "normal" (or at least close to it).
If it doesn't I'll exchange it for a new one.
There was a small piece of black rubber inside the button.
Pressing it multiple times was making it come out. The button now feels right again.
It's pretty wierd though. I'm just glad it wasn't anything permanent.

Galaxy s4 physical home button issues.

Hey everyone I have a problem that started to happen recently and I wanted to see if this happens to any of you guys and you fixed it.
About a few days ago my home button on my phone feels like there is some type of debris under the button. When you click down it makes a loud clicking sound and feels like I'm crushing down salt or something.
Has anyone had this problem? I tried using canned air, I tried taking a piece of paper and going around the edges, still no luck.
