First thing if you answer Thank You. How to unroot droidx? I am trying to get the new update so I can reroot the phone. Please help. Tried updating to lose root to reroot. Does not work says update unsuccessful.
If you used z4root to root your phone just open the app and there should be a button to unroot.

+1 to spiff (nice to see ur picking things up to help others ) =)
If you google z4root1.3.0.apk this should be the most recent version. If you have trouble finding it, post back and I can attach the file in the thread.

Hi
I'm desparately searching the Nexus one 2.3.3 stock music app because I lost (deleted) it when installing the Honeycomb music player. Now I`ve found the 2.3.2 music.apk but the OTA update to 2.3.4 still fails before installation when checking the music app.
I'm running a rooted stock 2.3.3 with superuser, root explorer...
Any Help will be much appreciated

The music app was part of the system image that the OTA verifies before installing. So...you need to flash a stock image in order to restore the image integrity.
I understand. I fear you are right. Thanks a lot.
All the same I don't intend to reflash, thats too much work for me. If somebody has got the stock 2.3.3 music.apk or knows where I can download it, I would appreciate that. Even if I can't get the OTA update that way

The music app is included in most ROMs. Just find a 2.3.3 ROM (older Cyanogen), and extract the apk...
You don't have a titanim backup copy??? If not I have the files if you want I can send you
Thanks a lot. After a long work Now I got it! Extracted the File from a ota I found in the Wiki I discovered today. After that even the update worked!

I'm looking for an unmodified build.prop file for a Verizon droid 2 running Android 2.2. I would like to apply the official gingerbread update, but it is failing because I modified my build.prop file and forgot to save a backup :-( I would prefer to not have to spf my phone so I thought I would ask here first. If no one has an unmodified build.prop file is it possible to extract a file from an spf? Thanks in advance.

No idea where to get that, I would just backup your app and user data batches with Titanium and then SBF stock. You really don't lose anything.
Thanks for the response. I was able to figure this out with a bit of googling Hopefully this will work. Otherwise I will be SBFing back to stock.

see the titile, so kind of you!
Here's the link http://www.multiupload.com/KD63M6699K when finished just rename the file from .null to .apk and you're good to go.

It can perform a full backup including contacts, sms, system settings, alarms calendars, even the call log that you had at that time, also you can backup apps that you installed, they are stored in .apk format, or how do you think i got the apk? using the same app.
All the backup goes to a folder in your sd called HuaweiBackup.
Very convenient since it does not require root (it's an official app)

The file has been deleted. Could you please reupload??
Thanks
If official most probably won't work in custom roms our if you backup from an official ROM you won't be able to restore on a custom.
It looks like a root app changed this file without me knowing, and as a result, I can't install the 4.3 OTA. Can someone be kind enough to post this file for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. I got it. FYI, I believe it was stickmount that changed the file.

I'm having the same issue.
Any possibility you could post the 4.2.2 debuggerd file?
Thanks much in advance.
