Why run stock? I'm more than happy with the EB13 Roms like Frozen. There doesn't seem to be any significant improvements in EC05 that I'm aware of.

Yup. CM7 for Vibrant its still on beta stage. There isn't an official release yet.
CM7 its very stable. I'm using M.I.U.I. right now. I.like its style and the theme database its epic. It have some lag here and there, but hey, nothing is free, that's the price for having a pretty looking UI.

Sinster roms have always been my favorite roms just curious what all you guys are running i had a issue with a couple of my apps not running on the newest version of sinister the dev. is super cool dude always helpful. i flashed to dominus_zetav1 then to v3 but some stuff didn't work on v3 so i flashed back to v1.
Synergy nightly. I don't usually run Sense ROMs - but this thing is stable and sharp.
MikG Sense 2.1 v1.03. Very stable rom and battery life is good. Id give it a shot.

This one. Stock GB, rooted, De-Odexed.
I've been rooted for about 2 weeks and tried just about everything, found that I really liked Warm 2.2 and moved into the synergy nightlys because it was being talked about in the thread. And Synergy is amazing imo and I can't wait for the finished product
I bounce between Warm 2.2 and MIUI, but going to load up Synergy in a few minutes and probably stick on that for awhile. I load Warm 2.2 onto all of friend's phones, though.
I donated one of my Carbon Fiber battery covers to Myn, too. evo.carbonfibermagic.com

What kind of a kick are you on IE: you want touchwhiz or AOSP looks. I for one am on a AOSP'ish kick right now. Running Biwinning 3.0 with the SGS II theme and launcher2 from the G2. I read alot during the middle of the night so 2.2.1 is an absolute must since the capacitive buttons don't light up while turning a page or scrolling the screen. On top of that I am running the bullet 1.48 kernel and it is as smooth as butter. Last but certainly not least that kernel allows a screen off profile of 400-100 so my battery life while not in use is fantastic. I'd say figure out what you want out of the phone and test until everything clicks how you want. If a rom isn't what you want look-wise cruise through all the great themes we have and have that decide which rom to run. Options are vast as it stands now.
I recommend the MIUI 360 rom.

I've been with team whiskey since nero-bionix 1.3.2. Now my 2 favorites are project v and m11

CM7 and MIUI roms are pretty great. Just read the instructions carefully and you'll be just fine. You can flash CM7 or MIUI over 2.2 roms by disabling voodoo first. Once that's done you can flash away. Be sure to grab a copy of the ka5 or ka7 radio/modems just in case you end up with no signal afterwards.
get your ass on CM7 before i slap you onto it.
Trust me once you try cm7 you won't look back to bionix ever again or any 221 rom.

I went eugenes gingerclone, bionix 1.3.1, and now project-v with bali and Im pretty excited about it honeslty. Battery life is fantastic, speed is great. Im waiting for themes now haha
Vibrant - project-v, bali 1.8.6UV kernel.
I think I found my sweet spot at ZenDroid with Bali 1.86 UV. After all, this device is still made to be a phone, and while CM7 based roms are fun to play around with for a few days or weeks, I still need a stable rom for my daily use. But if I get bored, I always have my HD7 around to play around with before I come back the the good ole Vibrant.
On another note, this community has certainly gotten a lot more fun and better. Certainly much much better than that HD7 community (if you can call it one at all).
Bi Winning v3. Great rom! Other EDT roms are good too.

I used CM7 for about a month and it is without a doubt the best, fastest ROM on the Vibrant. However, I just switched back to BiWinning 3 and I really love having GPS and a battery that easily makes it through the day instead of fighting at every step to survive the day.
BIONIXV1.3.1.! ITS FAST. ITS STABLE. IT HAS GREAT BATTERY LIFE. IT HAS A GOOD GPS.IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BUGS. IT HAS...... oh never mind
Try ZenDroid. I get good battery, the theme is awesome, its fast and its stable.

Does anyone know what EI22 could even potentially bring to the plate that the good devs haven't already achieved through stabilizing EH17?

An official build, newer files to work with. Whether people believe it or not EH17 has many outdated bits and pieces which makes certain things involving CM and or MIUI rather annoying to try to fix, when we can't have anything newer to work off of. It could me a stable build altogether or it could be worse, but it'd have newer things to test with.
EH17 is far from "stable"...
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

There's a comparison.
Since there is no EI22 and no changelog....no way of knowing. When an OTA hits or another phone besides "Lonny's" gets it, no way of knowing.

Since none of us have seen EI22 yet, I doubt there is an answer. It's possible that all that has changed is the kernel, and we have what we think is a current kernel so there are no changes.
It's possible that there is a newer better modem that uses less battery and gets better signal. They may have better drivers or more bug fixes in apps.
We'll have to wait and see.

No it is perfectly stable with the new kernels from source release. The other stuff are enhancements. How is OC ever considered a stability fix? GPS works fine too. Just Moar's file makes it better. Solid as a rock with any ROM and new kernel...period.

Point is, we can put together a solid reliable "stock" gingerbread in a few easy clicks. We already have something possibly better than what we are whining about wanting to be released
