My phone is on safe mode And I dont have terminal emulator or anything because it was accidently restored! First of all my question would be will rooting it (s = off) get rid of safe mode? Also what can i do to get rid of this stupid safe mode? I tried factory reset, battery out simcard out

What did you do to get to this point? And why are you in safe mode?

hey guys...
I want to permanently change a setting in the htc browser (enabling google zoom). I have to do this with adb shell.
Now my question is: do I have to enter the recovery mode?? (is it even possible to enter this mode with our non nand builds?)
Thanks.

you dont need recovery mode just activate debug mode and push the files then restart
I was trying to flash update.zip this morning and it didn't seem to like it to much. Now i'm stuck on the KF splash screen after several power cycles.
I'm unable to use shell commands [-exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -] and all ADB and fastboot commands hang [waiting for device]
Any ideas? I've tried everything I can think of at this point. I'm assuming it's a permissions issue, but i don't know how to fix with out using shell

Well, you probably need to change the bootmode. Look Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20943815#post20943815
and if that doesn't work, try changing the boot mode to 5002 (Recovery)

Hello everyone. One fresh Noob here.
I kinda decided to buy razr m which is japanese version. xt902...201m whatever.
However I heard that this specific model for softbank is unable to gain root.
I've never seen a device unable to root, so it's kinda confusing.
Is there anyone who found the way to root xt902?

Hello. I also have the 201M and already tried the motochopper. After the CMD says successfull and reboots, I open SU and get an error message about the binarys. I can't update them so far, so I still don't have Root access.
Any suggestions?
Regards

Have you tried manually flashing Superuser to update the binaries?

Thx for the files... I'll try to look for how to manually flash it. Otherwise I'll ask again. Nevertheless, I'll let you know the answer. Thank you!
EDIT: I know how to flash now (power off, hold 3 buttons and wait), but instead of the recovery menu, I'm getting a black screen with white letters:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10.9b(*) (sha-e92be7d, 2013-03-29 01:58:14)
eMMC Info: Size 8GB
Device is LOCKED, Status Code:0
Battery OK
Connect USB
Data Cable
Fastboot Reason: Key pressed
----- I've tried other things, but at most I enter Safe Mode. If I plug in the USB cable, the screen just changes to Connected. Any other advice? Regards,

how to flash this file?
if it's not root, the phone cannot be unlocked and the cwm recovery can't be installed

Any luck on rooting and unlocking this? I just got to Japan a few weeks ago and this was the first phone I got. I later switched carriers and got the S4, but I want to work on this phone first.

Same issue here. My pocket got warm earlier and i pulled out my phone and it was in CWM. Rebooting only brought it back to CWM. Phone is not recognized by PC (with correct drivers) and I can't get into download mode at all. Was able to flash TWRP through CWM because i had a zip of it on the phone. But even with TWRP, every reboot to... option just takes me back to recovery.
Install pdanet, while phone is connected in recovery mode to pc open pdanet and install lg drivers through it and then open adb in ur pc and type adb devices and if it sees then open sideload in twrp or cwm and push Rom to phone.

Hello, fellas. My device is SM-G928F. Before few hours I've switch on UPSM. I found right away there no such apps or option to turn off UPSM. The only button available was the Settings, but very limited - airplane mode, wifi, brightness and etc. My mistake was to reboot the device and the result is persistent bootloop. No option to turf off the phone or reboot. I must wait to drain the battery.
The case is pretty lame, because of my Package Disable Pro. I'm not using auto disable packages, but everything of my choise. I was aware of disable com.sec.android.emergencylauncher, so I'm sure i don't touch any critical packages, because of weeks of no-problemos using.
So my questions: Is there any chance to turn off upsm via adb or enable all disabled apps via adb? My device is not rooted, so this is no way. Factory reset is no way out. Any suggestions?
Of couse Safe Mode is not usable method too, because of the bootloop? Any suggestions?
Best regards
PS - Botting into stock recovery, download mode or shutting down the device is ok. But what about debugging via adb in the download mode? Any chances to get working adb via download mode? Any suggestions? ^____^

Boot into your Recovery. It should be a custom one like TWRP.
In TWRP click on Advance -> File Manager.
There you have to find '/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases'. This is the place where your settings get stored.
Just add to the 3 files inside a .bak to the end and reboot. This should have reset all your settings and it should boot fine

Thanks for the tips, but I don't want to root.
Under Windows 7, when I check the device, the console return me unauthorized device, but in debian I see offline.
I cannot get access to the data partition in this moment. I'm sure USB Debugging is enable. Under Debian, when I connect device to my pc, I get SIM code question. Any ideas?

If you don't want to root or flash anything, the only thing you can do is a factory reset...
Dear forum friends, the easiest way was rooting the phone and flashing the latest twrp. After that is very easy - enable all emergency packages via adb, which associated with upsm. So if you use Package Disabler backup everything and check twice before reboot the device.
Thanks for helping, @WerWolv!
