Another CaNNoN ROM?

As you all may know I've been away from the developing scene for a couple months now. I had a lot of things to take care of and I just really couldn't find the time to work on any projects...Well the good new is IM BACK! I have a couple tricks up my sleeve as usual,so stay updated for the release of my next project. To everybody who supported me once before and continues to support my work I want to say thank you.

Really dead? I guess that only problem js low memory.. i'm just running SuperF ROM and it's really fast... after replacing some issues and including app2sd it's gonna rocks,man...

Curious how did u get 7.5kbps?

It'll be a pleasure, CaNNoN Complete Eclair was first custom ROM I ever flashed . I'm waiting for your next releases! Maybe a ROM based on 2.2.1 OTA with more locales, locking launcher in memory, apps2ext, busybox and root? It would be ideal piece of software for G1.

Best Hero ROMs

Hello,
I own an Epic4g rooted/rommed/themed and my friend with a Hero is jealous and wants me to give his phone similar treatment. I'm sure this discussion has been beat to death but I wondering if you guys could recommend the best Hero ROMs that are out right now.
We're looking for -Speed -Stability -Battery Life. I don't want him calling me every other day because his phone is glitching. Any ROM/kernel combos that will fit the bill?

I agree. I personaly have the Nightly installed, but for what you asked for, AOSP will do.

Forgive me. From referencing the wiki page I'm finding AOSPmod 2.2. Is this not "true" AOSP or am I looking in the wrong place?

Look in the development section, its aosp's rom that was last finished in december (i believe). Its fast, small, and very stable. It was the last rom I had on my hero, and it was the best I had used.

oh.. i use search functions to death... ok.. and maybe i should be a lil more specific.. also.. is there a 2.2 rom with sense that is stable? i am on 2.1 damage control 1.0(bought it this way) it is fast and the sense stuff works great.. but.. i would like some of the newer sense apps.. like friendstream.. also i keep getting error 67.. also i am flashed to cricket.. i have been told changing roms wont mess with carrier settings.. ughh.. i hate being a noob..
If this were IOS or Xbox or Wii modding.. I know a Ton.. but am Very new to android modding.. Loving my hero tho... i know it is a little slow.. but .. it is a Cool phone..

I have a couple qestion about v1.8.
I'm writing here because i can't posting at the development forum.
What features it have?
It have a JIT, app2sd, SD card speedfix or something else?
There is nothing about it thats why i asking.
And what about this screen blur after few minutes?
Can someone answer me?
I testing also couple other custom ROM like Kyrillos, Apocalypse, InDroid and GreenMod, but i wanna test this one also.
For me right now the Apocalipse is the fastest but i can not used because camera issue and im using Kyrillos 4.1 OC with JFS partitions.

Ok i tested Lestatious myself and i can say that problem with bluring exists.
Then i back to Kyrillos 4.1 OC. After changing the partition to JFS is almost that fast like Apocalypse.
I hope that final version of Apocalypse will be released soon and will be without any bugs. And i hope that Dark Lestat fix his new rom.

there are few out there who knows what they did

Flores is just retarted for shouting bullcrap like that. Lestat has still made the only kitchen rom there is for our Galaxy, and it even is a good one. You probably haven't even tried it out (saying it only changes framework points to that).

And yea ALL devs here r doing a OSM job...they made this wihout-gpu-****...a cool osm fone...so its RESPECT for em...plus its a dev even if he can port themes n stuff...! Atleast they are doing sumthing! Duh!

I'm just flash Lestatious again but i replace the kernel with this one from Kyrillos 4.1. After that im install SetCPU and i choose 166 minimum. Then i replace the kernel again with Lestatious original and now everything working fine. I convert all partition to ext2 and now i have about 14k in linpack and 670 in quadrant. F.....g awsome and no freezes at all. Thx and im waiting for app2sd now.

Hmmm, i update Lestatious to new kernel Alpha 14 with update.bat and i think that something go wrong because after that i have 5k in linpack and quadrant stuck at I/O test. Can someone could write about the linpack and quadrant score on this version of ROM?
Now i try to flash again this ROM using ODIN, maybe this could help. If dont, then i will back to previous version with alpha 10.
Ok i found the problem. On alpha 14 the CPU speed is 83mhz only, when i change to 1300 with SetCPU is ok but after couple of minutes going back to 83 again. Im going back to alpha 10. Maybe there is a problem with blur, but after setting minimum CPU speed to 166 everything is ok.

Calling all vibrant devs!!!! Everyone should read this!!!

Sense is within our reach!!! It has already been ported to Galaxy S i9000 and Samsung Captivate..Us Vibrant owners need ALL the help we can get!! Hell who doesn't want sense on their Vibrant?!?!
I Have been talking to the dev over on that board about porting to the Vibrant, here is what he said:

No. I think they're using the new radio partitioning in .6, so it needs a new kernel.

Sense is really nice. I didn't even know it was ported to the captivate, sure do hope any of the Great devs can work on this.

one question
i have a question. do you want a port of just all the apps to look like a sense. i mean you can make a 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 all look a sense with all the new sense apps and such but it depends on what you want. if you want the sense gingerbread than thats alot more work. there are alot of options, but you gotta realize that the new sense works off of hardware not found in most phones. sooooo you gotta take that into consideration. but i will look at the 19000 port and see what they changed. im finally gonna start making roms, kinda gettin tired of making my own and not posting them. give me a couple of days and you will have it. but i dont know if i want it 2.3 since theres no gps i dont want it. if you have suggestions i will think about it, and maybe port it. but i wont develop if theres no requests.

edit: alot of people dont realize but when a port is brought over its not all the system files that they transfer, all samsung vibrant files are used, so thats why i made a post like this. devs dont create everything themselves and make things work, they keep old files and add stuff to make it like another phone. hence the reason why all roms have a certain base. blah blah blah, sorry been drinking and tired of randomness of roms. pm me if you want this ported the way i do it, which means, framework-apps-some system files into one rom.

Wow, i would love to have Sense on my Vibrant. Hope that someone start working on this...

Would really really be nice, I have two vibrants... one MIUI Thanks Segnaro and I would put Sense on the other one which is currently stock...

Awesome, thanks man.. when it releases u will see at least a $20 donation from me. Who would have thought us Vibrant users would see, Sense, Miui, gingerbread, and a semi working honeycomb.

New 4.3 based Roms

Hey
I don't know how many but there are still a hand few who still use this phone. I myself got this phone just a few months back from my friend @DowntownJeffBrown.
Now that we have 4.3, I just want to use it to its fullest! I'm a super noon when it comes to building ROMs but I can port. But some ROMs just need to be built eh? So my plain request to those awesome dev's , along with many who I hope will reply here.. Please build us some ROMs!!
Also, I'm not aware of much ROMs around this place, so I also request users to come up with the ROMs that can be built or ported.
