Did you wipe everything? data, cache, dalvik cache, and format system. Also upon first boot it might take a little time, how long have you waited on boot screen?

Did you try what I stated before? And you're sure you are on the latest recovery, what version? Are booting into recovery to flash CM7 or are you going through ROM Manager?

am I briked or just stuck

hi, my first post here.
I just flashed my g3 with kyrillos ex V3.3 according to instruction including parting sd card, and everything was perfect. didnt get the chnce to thank for the rom (didn't get to use it for more than 5 min')
I tryed to folow a diferent tutorial that sould eneble fixing the text oriantation so I have Hebrew corect from right to left.
During the process, just after booting to recovery, I accidentaly pressed the update.zip option and the phone got stuck in the first "gt-i5800" screen and loops to the boot sound but the screen doen't chang.
I have recovery mode and download mode, I reflashed again, but the phone keeps getting stuck in the same place.
Help?
Try to reflash! Use samfirmware's JPF rom, do data and cache wipe with XXJPF in recovery mode. XXJPF rom helped me a lot. When recovery and downloading working, you don't have to panic!

Agreed. Try wiping data/cache, then flash an old firmware, then reflash Kyrillos'.
If recovery/download are working that means your boot partition is still in tact. Which means your phone isn't bricked
you are right!
good!
I got the phone back.
Reflashing.
thanks again
It was a Soft brick though no bad done!

I'm guessing you've already done a wipe & flash lol.
What do you mean by "...i can't flash any boot images...". Won't you be able to do that via fastboot or recovery? On my device with Swiftdroid, when I enter recovery it also comes up with the Swiftdroid logo and then quickly to recovery (when I decide to boot to recovery). Are you trying to say that the Swiftdroid logo comes with other ROMs instead of Swiftdroid itself?

It could be a problem with the recovery image. Do you get the Swiftdroid logo when booting normally?

Maybe the other ROMs take more space than Swiftdroid's boot image. How big are the other's ROMs' boot images compard to Swiftdroid boot images?

And the swiftdroid didn't come up!!
then i tried with boot animation abled
and it still didn't come up!! YAA
But to confirm i am gonna flash a new new rom
to see if it has the same problem!!

By any chance do you have ClockworkMod Recovery on your phone???
Because with this one you can try to access it and over there Wipe Dalvik Cache, do a wipe data/factory reset, and if this doesn't works to wipe cache partition.
After doing this I will look for a restore image over the web, there are tons of them, Install one of them with the ClockworkMod Recovery, and just after the first boot access once again the Recovery and do a wipe data/factory reset. I think this way you will have a phone with nothing on it just a new OS.
If you need a guide for installing ClockworkMod this is the first one I used:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1224747
And thanks to effortless. for this awesome guide.
Hope it works...

you don't need to reboot
you need to flash it right after those formating
and the file needs to stay as a zip to be flashable so what did u mean by unziping it
also after you flash it won't hurt to wipe data/factory reset and also wipe cache

Nexas 10 recover boot looping

I was trying to flash a new rom, when I went to recovery and I was wiping everything... I wiped cache, dalvik, data and when I was wiping system it rebooted and all it does now is bootloop to twrp... I mean it stays on the twrp screen, the very first screen on twrp before it gets to menus, and restarts into recovery again and freezes and restarts again... and again... I was able to get to the download mode.. I think the problem is with twrp, should I flash new twrp from there or what do u all suggest... help please

If you're wiping the system, what you're really doing is removing android, and the bootloader, if im not wrong. Did you wipe data, cache, dalvik, system and then flash the rom? Or how was the order. If it was as I said there should be no problem, try reflashing the rom.

Flash a new TWRP from the Bootloader, reboot into TWRP, sideload a ROM. You DID erase /system, like he was trying to tell you, in all likelihood. Doing so erases the entire Android OS.

Turn it COMPLETELY off. Hold vol up/down (BOTH), and power until it shows a "Restart"/"Restart BootLoader"/etc. That's where you can fastboot flash TWRP

I have qlways done that.... even when I update the same custon rom to a new update, I always wipe cache, dalvik, and system.... but no data and ofcourse wipe all when flashing a new rom.... when recovery worked I wiped system again and flashed a new rom and did that a couple of times... nothing wrong anymore.... so im sure u can wipe system before flashing a new rom....

I normally wipe /System anytime I switch ROM's, too, but TWRP has done some funny things lately, and if you wiped it accidentally AFTER installing the ROM, or didn't quite install one just after, that may have done the trick

[Q] I9505 do not boot

I have a big problem with my new I9505.
Today I flashed new CWM 6.0.3.6 and 4.3 GE Jamal Rom. After I flashed some mods for testing.
Then I wanted to install a clean rom, I formated in CWM every point (system, data, cache, sdcard, dalvik and dont know what else).
After I flashed again 4.3, now it do not boot. Stuck at Google boot animation.
I thought it will be fixed if I flash the stock rom via Odin (only PDA with I9505XXUBMGA_I9505OXABMGA_I9505XXUBMGA_HOME.tar.md5).
But now I stuck at Samsung Boot animation.
It is possible to boot into Recovery and Download mode.
Whats happening?
I hope somebody can help me.
Big thanks.

I would return to stock to get the phone running again. so:
1. Go to recovery and wipe the caches and do a data factory reset and format system.
2. Pull the battery and go into downloadmode
3. Flash a stock rom with Odin 3.04
4. Reboot, setup the phone and reroot.

I had exactly the same issue, except whilst i was reflashing my nandroid the phone shut down, formatted everything as one normally would using philz recovery, tried again and it failed.
Now i cannot even gain access to recovery it stays on "loading recovery" only option i suppose is to reflash stock via odin.

I've also experienced this on my gpe and it seems going back to stock is the best solution for doing the factory reset. I've tried doing the factory reset with both team win recovery and cwm.
