hello arc068. Use version 0.93 a month on my tattoo and it's fine. installing the 1.02 everything works except the market that will not start. are the only one having this problem?

I have problem with market too. I used for a long time cyanogenmod7 but since market update to version 2.3.6 i couldn't download anything. Today I installed nfinity 1.02 , first time same problem. Second time I create a new google account and at the begining everything seems to be OK but later same thing. I think the problem is at the market and not in ROMs. I hope that all who have this problem find a solution.Android might become expensive as Windows. Shame for Google.
Also trying to uninstall market updates wont work couse it has some kind of auto update thing and always update to 2.3.6 version.

Hello all,
I'm having some problems with the CE-Star suite.. After 2 resets, the chinese text would just become SQUARES and it could only be restored by reinstalling the CE-suite program. Anyone encountered this problem before and can it be resolved? i just installed it and has yet to get it registered, is this the cause?
Previously i installed maction monster chinese and after not being able to use any input or whatsoever of that program, I tried uninstalling it but its always there! how do i get rid of it?! when i run remove programs and clicked on it, it asks me to reset my unit to completely remove it but everytime i resets it its still there! HELP!!
tried using ActiveSync to remove it but still can't!
another problem with my activesync, everytime i sync and when it reaches to sync files, it would tell me that there is a unresolved item. i checked and delete the unresolved file to see if i can bypass it but it seems that every file is unresolved?!
it recomends to restart the computer and phone then sync again and i've been having this problem even after umpteenthed reboots..
any help would be appreciated!

Which version are you using?
I got CE-Star v2.8 Beta 4 installed on my Wizard and it works fine. Chinese characters are properly displayed, some programmes like TMCP are displayed in Chinese now (which I was hoping it wouldn't btw lol) and input with PinYin works as well as drawing with your Stylus on the Touchscreen. Earlier versions of 2.8 didn't work, so give beta4 a try if you haven't yet.
i didn't buy a cestar ver 2.8 beta4. and just use a trial one. but when i wanna change the cestar back to keyboard mode. it was out of order. i don't think it's trail ver problem, it should be a bug. so i will not buy it before the final ver release.
if anyone can support a chinese rom or other way to change eng ver into chi ver, it should be the best news.

btw, it seems that v2.8R1 has been released and it seems to be more stable then the beta4. I haven't give it a try yet, will have to mail the developers about it I guess....

the problem is when u soft reset a couple of times then the chinese characters would display as squares.. kinda annoying as it can only be restored with a reinstall..
what about the monster chinese 5 problem? anyone encountered such a problem before? i can't uninstall it as it will ask me to reset the phone to fully uninstall but i have done it dozens of times and its still there, can't get rid of it.
by the way, i unlocked the extended rom and was wondering which of the files are safe to delete? anyone knows? i'm having the MDA vario by t mobile.. i can see that there are heaps of t mobile crap in there but not sure which are crap and which are essential..

As I posted earlier, earlier beta releases didn't work, but beta4 did.
And it seems that R1 works fine. So What about give that info about which version you're exactly using? If you recently downloaded it, it should be R1, you might want to give beta4 a try

trial...since I'm just testing it right now for viewing Chinese characters and it seemed unstable at first.
Seems only R1 is available for download, if you need beta4 to try, give me a PM

i've tested beta4 beta3 and r1 as well, but as the results are b3 can't let me input anything except english, b4 can input once but after changing input mode it's dead. r1(from offical website) is same as b4. now i met one more problem is after i uninstall b4 and soft reset machine, the sms function lost. i can only hard reset machine. faint...... so the chinese rom looks like very important
Just wonder know, why not Maction Monster Chinese ? The v5.1 released and it work great with my kjam.

That's rather strange indeed. I Don't have this problem with beta4.
Although it is slow with switching to CE-Star keyboard :s
As for a Chinese ROM, maybe you should try and look up for the Dopod ROMS, Dopod 838.
I came across problems on Monster Chinese v5.1. I tried to add a speed dial and then in the middle of my input it just suddenly disappeared.
I am using O2 ROM on Dopod 838.
(By the way, Dopod ROM sucks, dont even try it... I tried O2 ROM and then I never want to use the original again)
i installed CE-suit, but how do you activate the input?
it said hotkey is CTRL and Shift, but i don't have CTRL. i tried the dot key, but still won't let me change the input.

Hi all,
i tried to install the new FB 1.2 several times.
I have tried to uninstall the old facebook v1.007 first and to install the newer v1.2 . But every time after the installing the new version...the version info states still v.1.007.
I also tried to install the new version over the old version.
Same problem...it remains always version 1.007.
(Oh...I also deleted all facebook relevant reg keys)
I have read several pages here but i didn't find an answer yet.
Could someone please help me?

I know it sounds daft but when you install the new Microsoft Facebook v1.2, for some unknown reason, when you look in the "about" section, the version is displayed as v1.0.0.17.
Are you sure this is not what yours is saying and not v1.0.0.7 ?
Beyond that I have no idea, but thought it was worth checking as there seems to be a version mismatch error anyway in this latest version!

I can't download anything from Market!!!
I am using cyanogenmod 7.0.2.
Problem started when market self update to version 2.3.6.
I restore to 7.0.0. where the market worked well and it works until again self update version. 2.3.6.
I try clean instal from beginning, cm7.0.2. and Gapps-gb-20110307.
Same problem, i download one or two apss and then market update to version 2.3.6 after that i stuck on starting download + i cant download gmail, gmaps, voice search, you tube...
Everything else working great, btw this is my first problem.

AGAIN PROBLEM NEW PROBLEM
After many unsuccessful attempts with Market and CM7 I installed nFinity 1.02 rom ,first time without succes(MARKET) same thing with market. Second time I created new Goggle account and at the begining everything seems to be normal but later, again stupid Market PROBLEM stuck at starting download.

Solved is because problem was not in the market at first place. For me Market work on Wifi and not on mobile data(you can see apps and can't download).This also happens with YouTube app (you can see only preview you can't watch videos)

Confirming, same problem with market, i try several things but nothing, stuck with download.
One thing is sure, it is google problem, old version of market on 1.6 android works fine, this new patch is making problems, and even if you remove update still nothing.
I've tried everything but without success.
Clean instal, restore from backup cm7 rc2.2, cm7 rc4, cm7 rc4.1, even clean instal with earlier versions of gapps.
Market patch + editing and flashing Build.prop
Market simply does not work.
Again stuck with download.
Maybe problem is because I am in Serbia same as you "kejd".
This is for me best rom and I don't want to leave it because Market.
It is not only Serbia, i've googled it out and saw that several other countries have same issues with market, but it is random as i can see. Enyway, market seems to update itself always to 2.3.6 version and then stuck...it quite idiotic situation
I am only left to wait for a newer version of Market perhaps it correct the problem. Otherwise there are always other ROMs with working market. If someone finds a solution please let me know. I can wait.

I use the default android market 2.3.6 and I tried the latest 3.1.5 but it's so slow ! When I want to check updates or browse apps details it's very slow. (and sometimes nothing happens, just loading)
So I came back to my market 2.3.6 via titanium and it's fine.
But now, it makes the update to 3.1.5 automatically, and I don't want it !
so, how to block this market update ?

I hope You will see this,cause I can't post on the thread for your ROM! It's about the S4 International GE rom. The best rom ever! Smoot as silk and the best battery live witch I ever had! But since the release form 01/23 i have a problem. The voice function of viber stop working. I mean it's ok like chat but when I try to call or send voice message viber just stop. I told it's about the new version of viber (it appear on the same time as the update of your rom) so i didn't bother too much (i was waiting for new release), but yesterday i install Shazam, witch doesn't work as well. In shazam it appear an error message "Can't access the microphone, may be another app is using it!" Today i update to the latest version of your rom (the standard edition), after full wipe, but is still not working! Is it possible to be rom related problem or...i don't know! Any help will be appreciated!
edit: Sorry, Dan, it wasn't rom problem. Today I got Viber update and everything is fine now!
PS: Is it possible some admin to delete thread, because is not actual any more! Sorry to bother all the community!
