[Q] Honeycomb On 16GB MicroSD - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought a class 10 16GB for my Nook Color. I'm running CM7.0.2 on EMMC right now and I'm interested in running HC on the SD card. Is it possible to use the newest SDK build by Divine_Madcat of the SD card? If not, what should I download? Do I need a 16GB image for my microSD card?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Is it also possible to use the rest of the space on the SD card after installing HC on it for data?

DM's build of Honeycomb doesn't currently have an official SD version, but racks11479 has prepared a version (for RC1/RC2 at least, don't think he has updated with RC3) which can be installed to SD:

Once you have that up and running, you should theoretically be able to expand the SDcard partition on the card with software like EASUS Partition Manager.

I downloaded that. To install it do I boot into my internal Clockwork? What are the specific steps??

Question about switching sd cards... (cyanogenmod rom)

Ok so I have a mt3g rooted with the latest stable cyanogenmod (6.0 I believe). I currently have a 4gb card in it class 4. I do not use apps2sd, but I do use the install apps to sd feature. The whole sd card is formatted to fat32. I just ordered a 8gb card class 6 online to replace the 4gb I have now since it is becoming full. My question is, can I simply move the data (copy & paste) from the 4gb to the 8gb? Or is there something else I would have to do? Thanks.

[Q] New to Nook Color How-to SD card boot

Can someone point me to a thread for setting up either or both of
Nookie Froyo or CM7 stable on a bootable microsd card. I wondered
about partitioning and which files systems were used on cards?
Do either come with CWR 3.0.2.x installed for targeting the card
instead of emmc? I have a sandisk 2gb card and a class 6 16gb card
available for targeting. Are the booted systems rooted? Can I image
the cards (via the windows image tool, or USB booted gparted image
tool) for backup or do I need to nandroid to the sdcard partition and
then copy the sdcard partition to windows for backup?
I still have to register the color nook, as the registration servers have
been down most of the day. Do I need to wait to boot the sd card
bootable until the device is registered?
thanks in advance
Followup got Nookie Froyo SD working
I searched both market and amazon app store and cannot find dolphin hd.
I find lots of add ons for HD but not the app.
rom manager says it installed CWR 3.0.1.0 but telling to reboot to recovery
doesn't work? Is it installing on the emmc instead of the sd card?
I'm confused about how rom manager would know the boot 'disk'
is SD not emmc and to manipulate SD not emmc? same for CWR?
thanks
more info -- RM did write CWR to emmc
how do I get CWR on the Nookie Froyo bootable?
how do I 'properly' shutdown Nookie Froyo (in the unix sense) so
it 'sync's and shuts down daemons, like unix 'shutdown -n' would?
Is there a rom manager & CWR that are SD card aware (knows
to write to proper sd card partition for what its doing)?
pointer to links if anyone knows?
CWR
this may help with CWR
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971197
Made a SD Bootable CWR ....
but I wonder if the software is setup to update EMMC or SD (Nookie Froyo)?
How would one know? I'm guessing since the recover system is ram based
that one takes out the SD card after booting, and inserts the card to be
targeted?
Thanks for the pointer.

[Q] Can I flash a rom withou an external SD

Hey just picked up a a500 with android 3.2 on it. I don't have an sd card nor do I really want to buy one since I have the 32gb model and really don't need the extra space. I'm wondering if after I root my tablet. Can I flash a new rom onto it without an external sd card.
Thanks,
Chad
Yes, once you are rooted and have the newer version of cwm installed you will be able to use internal memory as an option in recovery. The problem is, I believe the version of cwm that installs with the acer recovery installer does not support the internal sd so you will have to borrow a microsd card to root and install the upgraded recovery. You can always use the one from your phone.
You can also use a USB Memory stick....

[Q] Android ICS Rom + SD Card

I started to play around with the sdrom today but when i try to download app/take a photo.
No sdcard is found. Do i need to set up a ext3orext4 on the sd card?? Would the rom just find the ext3orext4 dir?? Whats the best method
You just need to have your SD card partitioned for WP7 and Android. Since the ROM is running off the SD card, I'd assume it should regconize it right away. Try a reboot if you haven't, or mounting SD card in settings if it shows it as being there, but not mounted [ I doubt it, but it's worth looking at].
Its strange, in storage under SD CARD it says 'insert an SD card for mounting'
WHEN, its got to be inserted, as the ROM is running on the SD Card partition. It shows over a 1GB of space in internal storage? Think i will try a fresh install of the Android ROM. WP7 is running fine.

Going to install a cwm partition which matches rom, i think this will fix the issue.

I don't know why you are getting issues with photos and stuff, but your SD ROM is running fine. Android SD cannot mount the SD card as Android is running off the SD card. The 1gb internal storage is the data.img file in the 'Android' folder which is read as your internal storage by Android. I wouldn't mess around with CWM, it won't solve anything for SD Android and may result in you deleting WP7 if I'm not mistaken (but if you already have CWM installed then I am very much mistaken)
Not sure if it helps, but did you set both WP7 and Fat32 partitions as "Primary" when you set up the card? (use minitool partition magic)

[Q] SD card partition problem

So I am running CM7 off of an sd card in my nook color.(Using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904129 and I highly recommend). Win32discimager for some reason created a small partition just larger than the installer which remains on the card. I also have the android OS on the card that is taking up 1 gb partition. The rest of my 16gb micro sd card is labeled as the emmc for the tablet which is not what i intended. Now I cant load it up with my movies and videos like I had hoped.
Does anyone know:
Is there any way I can change these partitions on my card? (I have already tried EasuUS partition manager)
Where did the 1gb partition that android is on come from and why did the emmc get so large?
Is there any way to take the android image currently on my sd card and just putting onto the nook after I have already had it run from the sd card and then just formatting my sd card for storage?
There are probably newbie questions but I have tried to do my own research and havent found any certainties. Any help would be really appreciated.

Ok, first you need to go to my tips thread linked in my signature and read in section B how the verygreen SD works. You will understand the partition structure a little better.
Now for your sdcard/emmc media storage problem, you have a setting wrong in CM7. Go to settings, CyanogenMod settings, Application and uncheck "Use internal storage". What that setting does is swap emmc and sdcard so that your real sdcard is called emmc and internal media storage is called sdcard. It is not default that way. Somehow it got checked.
