please expert guys help ...
i have new leo with ROM 1.43 today after trying to upgrade to ROM 1.66 I did everything as asked, the installer began , with all the colours on the leo display then it started the percent completion counter , and after 2% it wrote me error something , and the leo restarted but stuck in the white start up menu with the green HTC icon and below the R G D information but the device doesnt proceed further and stuck here !!!

o bought the device in europe , but i am from israel , htc sent me notification about new arabic ROM with link , i tried with my serial to download but couldnt , it wrote me "this upload not compatible with ur device" , i downloaded it from here XDA developers , but it went wrong !! , the problem that the phone stuck in the loader menu , before uploading the sense interface , and i have no connection between the pc and the phone "no active sync" so how can i reinstall the older version or make the phone load again ?!!?!! plz help !
I would recommend to do a hard reset in the first place and see if that helps.
I don't know how you did the upgrade and what the exact error message was, but you have always the option of installing HSPL and a custom ROM, as long as you can connect through USB - that is entering bootloader (the tri-color screen) and seeing "USB" at the bottom of the screen.

how can i hard rest , the phone is not moving from the white menu ,which comes before the orange menu with the windows mobile icon , the buttons in this menu are not responding , is there any way to do hard rest using some phone hard keys , because i cant establish any connection with the pc , so i guess i need to do something with the phone itself ...?

Hi
Take the battery out for about 10 sec. Then Put the battery back. Press and hold Vol down and Vol up then press the power button grey screen will ask the confirmation to format internal memory. Then press vol up. Then vol up for reboot

I had a hd2 with the Typhoon ROM set with the Recovery and magldr 1.13 ... after downloading a number of applications gave me an error, I continue to reset the screen to start drawing android stood in the midst of .... and would not go away ... I changed the rom and the way to a more current ... and I got to work with the installation ... But my surprise was when I can not install all the steps still doing well ...
I can´t do a tricolor screen, i don´t know why... and i tried with all types of roms... The first rom of Coutulla, Daf roms, Recovery roms...recovery roms and DAF roms stops when are loading and in the screen are the android or logos...
The roms don´t load...
Please, i really need help... i don´t know what else i can do... My hd2 is european and the operator is Movistar... i never had a problem... but now i are ****...

Try the HR (hard reset)
turn the phone off
press and hold volume up & down together and power up the phone same time
That should hard reset your phone
Than press and hold volume down and power on the phone and that should bring u into the bootscreen mode

Nothing... only load the magldr....
but the buttons are ok because i can move on the magldr menu
so than try this-
switch off the phone
take off the battery cover and find the red like small button under it. press and hold it for few seconds than try the first step again

How about reinstalling android all over again? Maybe that can solve the problem.
If you are willing to do it, just go into bootloader screen, flash task 29, flash Magldr 1.13, flash CWM (dependent on the partition lay out required by the relevant rom), and flash the ROM (Nandroid).

I don´t understand all...do you say me taht install android again??¿ i tried...with recovery mode, DAF mode and data2ext4.... but nothing....
Are you sure you're just downloading ROM's and using the same Clockworl for all? All ROM's have different partition layout requirements for Clockwork. Check out the ROM thread and look for something about the Clockwork partition size. I usually just Ctrl Find then look for 'CWM'.
If that's not the case, you may be downloading ROM's which need an Ext3/4 partition on the SD card. Do you have an Ext partition?
Well you have the partition, so the only thong it could be, quite possibly is the wrong Clockwork size. As far as I know, I think there's an included file in the TyphooN thread that has a CWM inside it. Download it, flash it via the .daf file, then go back in to recovery and flash the TyphooN .zip again.

Reading other posts I see you have tried everything, so I suggest you go back to the start, i.e install a Win 6.5 rom from HTC using the SD card method which will erase everything on your phone(including HSPL) and revert your phone back to factory status..
and then try again, use a Android NAND rom which does not required any ext/data2sd/apps2sd partition by default and see where u get with it.

I think that i made good the partitions... but any romload compleate.... Recovery don´t run, when i install a DAF Rom the load stop in te first screen.....
And i can´t do the tricolor screen... the buttons are well...but the tricolor screen no....

yesterday i wanted to reboot my HTC HD2 with Android (SD) on it, and after this it hanging on the HTC logo and cant boot.
It goes only to the MAGLDR but not to the Bootloader ( Tricolor Menu) if i press VOLUME DOWN AND POWER...
I installed via USB FLasher on MAGLDR the Windows 7 Phone and it was working perfectly without problems (Just Wlan/Wifi dont working). After this i tried to install 5 different NAND Android on my HD2 and every of this is hanging on this HTC Logo!!! I am sure that all this 5 were working before this...
My Problems:
1. Cant install (NAND) Android.
2. Cant join to the BOOTLOADER (Tricolor).
3. On WIndows 7 PHone no WLAN working.
I'm done with the nerves!!! Can anybody help me?

In MAGLDR do the volume buttons allow you to scroll up and down? If not, maybe your volume rocker took a **** on you?

I presume you have a correct radio version.... ? That causes hang at boot.

There should really be no reason you cant boot into bootloader if your volume buttons are working properly. turn phone completely off for 10 minutes turn phone on then hold volume button down till you boot into bootloader screen. I think you are holding volume button down slightly before your phone is turning on.

I tried it! with the RED BUTTON!!! but it doesnt help...
And i tried it too with UP/DOWN...
I have no chance to go inside to the tricolor menu.
And if i want to boot again, its the same logo which not disappear
I dont understand how it works with Windows Phone 7 but not android...

OK so after doing a TON of research and having spurts of false hope, I have figured out that the phone is indeed bricked. There is only one person in US that I know who can save it and he uses jtag. Here is his link. Send him a pm describing your situation and he'll help you out. I recommend him!!!

Hi. Guys. I'm a Chinese fan of HD2. I love this Mobile phone so much!
But. There has something wrong with my HD2's hardware. I was wonder if there has anybody can give me a Working advice. Here is the Problem:
That Power button and down Volume button doesn't work anymore.
The another buttons are working good.
My HD2:
HSPL:2.0.8
MAGLDR 1.13
Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.5 product by R3Mix(Runny offical 5.1) Rooted
Beccause the buttons reason. I can not use the MAGLDR Menu.
So I've figured out a way.
Make Android booting faiule. That I can use the Menu.
How to delete the boot files.

U have to repair buttons. Initrd.gz file has nothing to do with buttons. WHen buttons fail u have to replace them.

No. I mean if I deleted initrd.gz file. MAGLDR will not Booting successful. Instead of returning MAGLDR Menu. I had the another HD2. And I've done it on my another HD2. so I could use the up Volume button to choice the MAGLDR options (Because Volume Down button is not working anymore)
ALL I WANNA DO IS TRYING TO OPEN THE MAGLDR OPTION 'Always Boot Menu' TO YES.

Finally. I use the ADB tool completed my wish!
First. mount the yaffs2 partition while Android is running.
Then. Delete the boot files.
When I reboot phone. MAGLDR can not booting Android successful from NAND anymore.
Instead of backing the boot Menu

Yesterday I played some games on my phone and after about 1 hour the phone just blocked . Didn't know what to do , nothing worked so I've unpluged the battery.
After that I've tryied to open it but there was something strange. There was a white screen , and just this...
I've tryied some things and now , when I open my phone it goes to bootloader ( that thing with red,green,blue and white ) , It doesn't even boot...
Sorry for my english , hope you can help me to fix it or just to tell me if it's brick or not ...
Did you try to open the device? Why?
If you phone go in bootloader check the Volume Down button, probably is blocked. Sometime happen the 2 buttons of the volume go out of they position and is tricky to put it back again. If the buttons do not do click when you push it that mean they are stuck, maybe just one of them.
I can be absolutely sure there is not any button stucked.

Somehow the phone boot in bootloader. The only way to do that is pushing the volume down. To me seems like hardware and not software problem.
I just don't understand, did you opened the Phone? and if yes for what reason?
My bad , didn't opened it , just powered on ( pressed the red button ).

Are you an Android? If yes then you should boot into MAGLDR, reboot you phone and keep pressing power button. What happen?

So first of all my phone blocked while playing a game. After that i've removed the battery , wait 2 seconds , put it back and power on the phone . After that it should show me android loading , but it didn't . There was just a white screen, I could do nothing .
Cause of this i've tryied the Task29 and yes I've tryied it from bootloader . But the problem is, at 100% my pc restart everytime and on pc it says "ERROR [270] 'The image file is corrupted'."

I think probably the HD2 is completely dead but I don't understand why the hell your PC is restarting and get you an error. Do you have some kind of virus? Try close Firewall and Antivirus and perform Task29 again. If this will not work from bootloader try to install directly MAGLRD 1.13.07, maybe the MAGLRD will install because you have some problem with Task29. If both of this application give you the same error this is maybe related to your PC. I never saw this problem like on another thread with Security Unlocked. Let me know what happen.

Even if I connect to your PC via Team this will not help because I don't have the phone in my hands. Ok, then is your phone to give you an error and reboots, try to install from Bootlader the MAGLRD and tell me what happen.

I don't know buy I think something wrong there, or your phone just died and there is no way to let it work or is your PC, there is no other issues.

Start from first step by installing HSPL4 2.08 by Cotulla.
Check also for Virus or Antivirus which will compromise the installation or the files.
It goes to 100% and then restart my phone . I'll use another PC tomorrow so let's hope it will work just fine.

Were you playing/doing something heavy? Was the phone (very) hot when it froze? No longer boots?
Typical symptoms of infamous overheating problem, sorry for the bad news. Try following this post and report back : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23638873&postcount=3

You are right, this can be the reason why he can't boot anymore. If so will be very difficult time to revive the HD2 even if the solution are there.
