Yup, mine's the same. Nothing serious though, as it's not noticeable and I also can feel it if I move my finger around that edge.
i noticed that too, mine is too at the top left corner of the screen
but i think its normal / tolerable

Actually i did return 4 phones already, dead pixel, loose back cover ( tried a different one same thing so exchanged), next one light leak on screen edge, and another one with what appeared to be dust under screen or underneeth the protector. Dont think i want to go trhough all this again and get another faulty one, like someone said all devices have some imperfections its just to get somthing that you can live with, i think this is not so bad esspecially if most Arcs have it.

Great. I'd never noticed that before and now it's going to bug me! :-S

Yeah, I had two Arcs, both had the same problem. Everyone told me their screen was completely flush so I exchanged the first. I googled a bit and didn't find a single picture of the Arc were the corner is not raised, so I guess most Arcs are like this.
Mine was flush, but now the top sticks up a couple of mm. My finger keeps getting caught on the screen protector.
this maybe a really silly reason, but i think it maybe due to the 3.5mm keadphone jack present there and they didnt design it properly???
Yeah, I guess it could not be glued properly with the jack beneath it. It's a very nice looking phone, but they definitely had to cut some corners because of the design...

My screen seesaws when closed(Top right and Bottom Left corner) is this normal for a slide-out phone?
When open I have no movement.
When closed I do get a tiny bit of movement. From the space between the sections. Its very small, I can notice it at times but it is normal with sliders.
I have have the same thing. I think it's pretty normal. It's built very well compared to most sliders especially the Pre.

Yeah that's normal for slide out phones
This device is much better than most sliders in that matter. We'll have to see how it holds up over time, though.

I actually have my brothers Rant, which also is from Samsung, and the top layer (screen) does not move up and down like mine. My screen almost feels as it has Surepress technology the Blackberry Storm has, as it clicks when the screen is pressed on the top right and bottom left corner.
Just check two Samsung Moments, the problem does not exsist either... must have gotten a deffective device...
It's your case...
I thought I had the same problem, especially in the top left corner of the screen, luckily my brother has an epic as well, and I tested his and the same thing happened...... I removed my Seido made case from Best Buy, from both of them and problem solved! It's the case.... Now trying to find a suitable replacement case
Thanks for the advice, but I'm not using a case. Must have been the first units, my luck. I'm going on Tuesday to exxhange my device.
Ok so I thought this was just my 1st G2 that was showing this. It seems that the rubber tabs beneath the screens are leaving behind a yellowish stain on each side of the keyboard part of the phone. Look at the '@' key now look at the grey part to the left of it and check if you see any yellow stains. Same thing on the grey part to the right of the 'enter' key. On both my 1st G2 and now my 2nd G2 I noticed this.
I tried cleaning it but it doesn't come off. I tried alcohol too and still. Scared to try anything else because I don't want the paint or color to fade.
Now idk if removing the tabs from beneath the screens is a good idea but idk why this mark is happening.
Id take a pic of it but don't have a camera to do it.
Also I don't mean to add to the list of problems of this phone as I absolutely love this phone and wouldn't trade it for anything.

It's urine. The type of composite htc used for the g2's main body is susceptible to saturation from organic waste fluids. This is irreversible. Wash your hands more, or stop peeing on them.
That is my scientific diagnosis. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Interesting that multiple people have the same yellow mark on the phone. I have it too but thought nothing of it. Just that it was most likely gunk from my pocket. Its just odd for a lot of people to have the same mark in the same place. I have failed at trying to clean it off a few times now. Anyone successful clean it off.
Can someone post a picture of this yellowish mark?
You guys DID peel the protective plastic layer off of the keyboard panel, right?
I thoroughly looked over my phone and cant find what you are describing. I'm guessing I dont have this problem.
I think its part of the rubber adhesive under the screen

It is because of the rubber. But I was thinking of covering it with tape. But what good is it if I can't clean what's already there?

Yes I did first day. Same with the 2nd phone. This is happening because of the adhesive rubber on the back of the screen. Its the only thing that touched the keyboard half of the phone. The marks are left on the grey next to the @,.com,alt keys and on the right of the delete, enter, and right alt keys.

I just noticed the same thing started appearing on my phone. I've had the phone since a few days before the official launch and the yellow spots just started showing up a day or two ago.
I haven't been able to clean them off, but I agree, it looks like it might be from the adhesive from the rubber pads. Alcohol didn't work to clean them off... I am fairly certain acetone or anything stronger will eat the paint off the phone.

Just noticed this,
Here is a pic. Oh and the yellowish stains are appearing in a spot where the plastic layer did not cover...
http://tinypic.com/r/2lstg75/7
The one on the left is hard to see in this lighting, but the one on the right is clearly visible
Edit: I just tried some diluted acetone and the stains did not come out. They are really in there good.
my phone has it too. but the right side stain is much more visible the the left. i hope its not anything coming up from the inside like a chemical leak or idk. it seems to be getting progressively darker
I just realized I have yellow marks on the side of the keyboard also. I just called tmobile, and since I was still in the remorse period, I'm having them send me another one. Great.

What good is getting a new one? Its going to stain again. They are all like this and whoever says they don't have it is either because they never use the keyboard or they are in denial.
My first g2 had it and my 2nd one has it. Even the test dummy in radioshack had it.
Had anyone figured out how to clean this???

Okay so I was trying to clean out the dirt in the sides of my phone (the area between the screen and cradle) and noticed that the screen was ever so slightly left and top aligned than centered. In other words, there was less space between the screen and the cradle on the left and the top than there were on the right and the bottom. Not really a big deal, but a sign of poor manufacturing.
Anyone else have this on their phone?
Glad I'm not the only one with that problem, the right side of my screen has a little gap with the bezel, not much, but dust has gotten in there. I'm wondering if I should exchange it and try to get a more perfectly aligned model.
looks like the phone was rush to market with out proper QC

I am thinking about an exchange too, but am waiting for two things:
1) A case and SP to come in to prevent this from happening again
2) To see if this is a common problem
Surprisingly, I think this phone has actually one of the better shields between glass and bezel. I went through COUNTLESS (literally probably 10) Nexus One's with dust under screen (some had failed power button too). Next, the Vibrant was ok, but the following phone, my MyTouch 4G...oh man. Again, went through 5 of them all due to being shipped with multiple specs of dust under the screen. My Nexus S isn't perfect but at least this first one is decent.
One thing I learned..trading in one phone for another can bring unwanted problems. Others are complaining about home/back buttons on the side not working, others say GPS is an issue. You never know what you'll get, so be ready. I don't know how keen Best Buy is on swapping a few phones either.
In my experience though, HTC has far worse QC than Samsung (including the crappy HTC tinny speaker). Ugh, don't get me started on that.

i think you can always go to the store and check, i am sure you will find another one that doesnt have this problem as it seems to me its a manificaturing issue where it screen wasnt placed properly.
not a big deal but for an OCD guy like me. i wont be able to sleep at night till i get a better one lol
Mine looks to be centered, I can't see a difference between the left/right side.
Mine is not off center. But I do have some "lift" on the upper right hand corner (next to the ffc). I can press it down with a little play. Basically it doesn't sit completely flush with the bezel. It's not super noticeable. However the other three corners are fine. Not a biggie but it is noticeable.

My buttons don't make any noise. If you even hear the noise when pressing on the screen, maybe the back cover isn't fitted correctly?

Thats what I mean, its' not the buttons that make noise, but the back cover I believe.. when pressure is applied. I checked to make sure it is fitted correctly and it is. Also I believe there is a slight creaking on the front panel as well. Is this normal?
Yup, mine makes a noise too, but its not noticeable unless you're listening for it

No that's not normal. If it's only the back cover, maybe it's bend because you applied too much pressure when pulling it off. But if the front also creaks then there's something wrong. mine doesn't make creaking noises at all.

Its not such a big problem really... you get used to it after a while

I kno what you mean, but I had iphone before and the thing was as solid as a rock. With the X10, I apply pressure I can feel some 'give' as if i am pressing the panels together, which creates the slight creaking noise. I dont even know if I could describe it as creaking, its very minor but still noticeable
When I had the black x10a it creak for me when I pressed the back button. After a few days I bought the x10I to have 3g on tmobile and it doesn't creak. Maybe its the x10a only?

Hey, yeh mine creaks too, its more so the side pressure of the hand squeezing the sides when in yur palm, than the force down of the buttons. Im not very satisfied with the elcheapo effect of the back cover, lol. I too was an iphone user, solid rock, but i love my x10a!
Thanks to everyone, I guess it's semi-normal, I wish it wouldnt make any noises because it makes it feel cheap
Creeking here aswell and it is actually the battery making the noice since its probably has got a tiny bit deformed in 8 months of pocket riding it is able to move somewhat in it's compartment. Everything else is solid.
And i have to really stress it to make it creek, nothing really bothering.

I know 4 people who also have the xperia x10, never heard them complaining about creaking. Never heard it either. We all have the black x10i.
Somebody here said something about a deformed battery, that could be true indeed. Lithium polymer battery's have no plastic case, they can be bend or deformed. It could be the reason your x10 makes creaking noises.
You could buy another back cover from ebay, they're not expensive.
i've actually noticed this issue a long time ago, and its kind of been making me worried ever since...
but in the pictures (if you can see them) attached below, there is a spec of i'm-not-sure-what-that-is, but it's like making a small opening in the silver part that surrounds the screen on my MT4G. so what i'm wondering is, will this little space in the silver lining cause some potential threat to the internal of my MT4G? i.e water leaking in, other stuff getting in, etc.
thanks for any info

no, it's not a scratch... there's something stuck inside the small little space between the silver outer shell and the screen glass.
Based on the first pic, it looks like the gap is about 2 inches long, correct? I don't see anything in the gap, so it's hard to say what's causing it.
My phone has a noticeable gap running the entire length of the phone in the same area (between the glass and the chrome bezel) on the right side. It looks much like yours, but goes from the top to bottom. It's been that way since I took it out of the box.
I wouldn't be concerned based on what I see in the pic. If it starts getting worse, then maybe, but not otherwise.
