Interesting to note that the AT&T version has a 32GB storage option while the T-Mobile version maxes out at 16GB. Wonder where they are getting these 32GB cards that work flawlessly with the Venue... Also wonder what mystical firmware these might be running.
Guess we've done a good job beta testing the dell venue pro for dell, we should all be very proud!

Hmm odd I was selecting the unlocked option. You only have 16gb choice there. But technically you can get to it by selecting the ATT plan option and just not choose a plan.
maybe now that it is available on AT&T Engadget might post up a review. anyone know why they haven't up until this point? I'm curious to see what they think.
Yeah was looking forward to their review for the longest time...if anybody gets this AT&T version I'd love to hear from you and what your thoughts are on it. Am looking to get this and have my fingers crossed that Dell fixed all the annoying issues.

Thanks. I'm thinking about getting one as well. Just got a Quantum for my wife, but it's defective. I may just send it back and get the DVP before my 30 days is up.
Does anyone know if I can use my upgrade to purchase this through the dell website but keep the unlimited data plan I have now? I'm worried about not dealing with AT&T directly because I don't want to lose my current plan.

With TMO that is not a problem.. Just call CS after the activation and they will take care. ATT also should be the same unless their CS is horrible. I would give ATT a call and have it recorded before going ahead.
I added a line via dell's website to my att account, its a pretty easy process.

Oh well they placed THREE orders instead of one so they bumped someones earlier order and gave it to me :X. Or well thats what they said. And they gave overnight shipping as well!
Finally I have a scheduled delivery for tommorrow by 430pm!! Will report back with initial impressions.
Really curious if its going to be HSPDA+ Since we may all have to go to that phone if AT&T completes the buyout of Tmo.. really curious how well it works and if it has AT&T junk on it.

Ordered mine last week - due to be delivered to me the end of next week (29th). The bundle is a nice touch and £499 all in very good. They only have silver, which suits me fine. And it's SIM free...

I called yesterday to ask and they asked the manager and he said no deliveries on good Friday so earliest will be 30th.
Yeah banner said 8 days to go yesterday which counts down to Good Friday.
Dont matter when you placed order, unless they dispatch it on 27th you wont get it before 30th.

I think it's quite weird since those are based on UK. I don't think HTC would be stocking US or Asian handsets on those stores right? Else that would just mess up their distribution structure.

Ás much as I want that good luck it's highly impossible. As you can see I am not from UK so having a non-UK phone on handtec would greatly benefit me as that would likely give me chances of having a compatible Asian LTE. But I already asked them about that before I made a purchase and as they said they'll be providing EU models only. They even posted on the description the LTE bands it will be supporting. So.... hopefully your words would create a miracle. lol
I sent them a email saying they are false advertising that we will get it delivered on good friday. Thats impossible so they are in fact lying to customers.

Me too. I talked to five CSRs yesterday, three of them told me it's back ordered, one of them said it would ship yesterday, another one said it would ship today. Worst company I've ever seen.
Ya I am too. I've called multiple times and they keep saying that it "should" go out today and it never does. The shipping date keeps getting pushed back one day at a time.

I ordered a 64 GB developer edition on Saturday 4/20 at around 11 am and it has been in picking since. I selected 2 day shipping and the original expected delivery was today 4/24. Yesterday that was bumped to 4/25. Today it says 4/26.
I've gotten more patient over the years, and my current phone is serviceable so I'm just going to sit tight for now. The worst case seems to be 'end of April' which isn't too far away.
I preordered with them, it shipped on Friday and I got it on Saturday. That said, it did sit in "picking" for a couple days before it shipped, and the order also disappeared from their online tracker right beforehand.

That said, if it is firmware related and not hardware, it should be fixable by flashing the appropriate firmware, ROM or radio. Waiting for the knowledgeable peeps to chime in.

Mine too. Ordered on the 12th, couldn't get an order status until yesterday, still in picking. Trying to decide whether to cancel or wait it out. My G2X is crap and I need something ASAP. It was either an HTC One or a GS4, and I wanted the One, but after this mess, it's probably gonna be whichever I can get first.
I ordered on the 12th but it has been "picking" for 5 days now I'm kind of disappointed that I (promised to!) shell out so much money and now I'm waiting considerably longer than carrier customers. I'm quite patient but I wish let's talk would be a bit more finite with their dates, there is no way they have been "picking" my phone for the better part of a week.
I will only be angry if I get the phone and it has hardware defects. I would imagine the RMA process with these guys would be terrible

So was mine, shipping today for 2 days...i called them and she said oh it's because we ran out of stock (thanks for that heads up). So I cancelled and went to AT&T, which i'm glad i did they gave me $150 off even though i wasn't due for any upgrade for a long time..
Ordered on 4/9 and it still shows picking status as well. This is definitely getting ridiculous.
I ordered two 64gb dev edition handsets on the 10th and I'm on back order. I called HTC and they said there next shipment is on the 29th.

I've been with T-Mo for a year now and with the exception of the iPhone 6 pre-orders have been arriving either the day of launch or a day early on every major device since I joined up. Nexus demand isn't going to be anywhere near iPhone demand, so I am guessing that it will be the same here.

T-Mobile will be unlocked. The issue will be having the CDMA carriers adding the IMEI to their system. Using on At&t will not be a problem.
No T-Mobile branding

If trying to buy our right make sure you go to a Corporate store. Retailers will most likely deny the sale of it without service. They will most likely tell you they don't have any.

WiFi calling is actually a Lolipop feature, so theoretically all carrier versions will support it. That doesn't mean they will actually work when you try to use it, though - since VZT and ATT have not rolled it out yet it's doubtful that it will.
Worst case, you can route your calls through Google Voice via hangouts on the other carriers.

Going back & looking at my Nexus 5 preorder I had a ship date of November 22nd & end up receiving it on the 7th. These ship dates might just be placeholders

So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!

You should. I heard about this from https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/490phl/best_buy_preorders_go_out_monday/, and went to my local best buy to be sure. They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

My preorder confirmation said they would Email me when the items were ready. By chance, did they mention if the Gear VR was ready for pickup also?

Sorry, She didn't think to ask about the Gear VR. I'll call to ask. Our preorder confirmation states the same about notification of pickup.

I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
