The U.S. store lists an adapter, docking station, BT keyboard, and protective case, all at prices much lower than what I've seen in the European store. No pictures, though, so buyer beware. I may try to order the keyboard and see what comes up.
ok then... I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered and paid for overnight shipping... we'll see what happens.
Yes, I just found this site today. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your keyboard.
Ordered the adapter (that was cheap!) and the case.
But $10 shipping? Really?

I don't know what the REAL status of the order is but about an hour after I placed it I went to order status and it said backordered up to 3 weeks.
That have photos of the protective case in their UK store and it costs 34 pounds!

I just picked up a few of these yesterday and I like it. I don't know if it's worth the price but for a fitting case it'll work in the interim
I just paid $43 for the protective case from staples and the acer site has it for $19.78 wtf.

Mines backordered too. Maybe jumped the gun, but it's worth the $ savings.
the local staples had the cases for $39.95. I picked it up, my only complaint is the velcro button... I mean where's the magnetic sticky? That said I like the case.

I think the one on the Acer store site is a bag, not the case.

They both have the same part numbers. And the description on the Acer site matches the protective case.
Pretty sure the case on Acer is the same as the one staples is selling since they have the same model number.
You ordered the adaptor, but what is it exactly? There is no description anywhere. Is it a longer power cord?

Going back to Staples tomorrow and show them their channel partner (Acer) has the same SKU number for $20 and $30 with shipping. If they match I will keep it- if not, I will return it right on the spot.
Well, if I go out tomorrow for something else too, since using $4 of gas for $10 savings kind of defeats the purpose. One day soon though.

My cousin picked up the case at Staples store which she ordered it online few days ago. She showed her the Acer website the time she collected the case but Staples employee said that is the Acer factory price and they can't refund the price difference but Satples managed to get her $5 off from the original price.

Very shallow response, since by this logic, Staples should be selling the A500 for $900
The case is NOT made by Acer and is from the same company that made the Transformer case. Same materials and design, but of course the size and port differences with the Trans.
Staples have OVERPRICED the case and need to review their marketing's perspective on pricing elasticity.

I TOTALLY missed that one! Great catch. Now I feel like a total doof for buying it at Staples and taking an entire lunch hour to get back and forth to a store that had it in stock.

If they sold it for $19.99 like the Acer store, then how would they make any money? You have to remember Staples buys it from them for a certain price and it all boils down to business and profit. $39.99 is a small price to pay when you consider what it's protecting -- a $500 device.

T mobile NS
Is there any problem with Nexus S sold from T mobile?....cause i found one in ebay used only for 4 days and the price is very low......?
T-Mobile doesn't sell the Nexus S. As far as I know, the only authorized retailers are Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse. In general, I'm always suspicious about deals that seem too good to be true, but sometimes they happen. Like when I got FSX in return for playing online games. Microsoft has never been more cool than it was at that moment. But yeah, eBay is good. Just be sure you read the crap out of the item description, because some people will screw you if you let them.
I am talking about the below deal...is it ok?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_4435wt_1139
.....and my second option is this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270689821679&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
Which one you should choose?
Which one from below....
1) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_4435wt_1139
2) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...9&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_582wt_1139
My budget is around 720$...so if you have anything better to suggest please do it.....
I asked the seller if nexus s is sold from t mobile cause i cannot find it in their site...
ear sakiss1000,
Check Tmobile's website. They launched the Nexus S about 2 months ago. This was bought on 1/10 and only used for about 4 days before I put it up for sale
Dear sakiss1000,
Maybe it is sold out i am not sure. But i purchased it at local tmobile kiosk.
So can anyone confirm if t mobile is selling nexus s?

I just clicked both of your links, and I would choose neither one of them. One of them is $550 with $100 shipping! The other is $619 with $10 shipping. Both are ripping you off, especially the "used" one.
You can get the phone for $529 at Best Buy (plus tax) with free shipping. This is UNLOCKED and CONTRACT FREE from Best Buy.
Did they raise the prices on those eBay links? Because those aren't "very low" prices like you said in your first post.
There's absolutely no reason to buy an NS from anyone but Best Buy unless you're getting a deep financial discount to do so.

Well, you should have just changed the title of this thread instead of starting the new one you did that asks the same question. And on that new thread you should put in your first post that you're from Greece, because I was just about to respond over there the exact same way...
Personally, the guy with $100 shipping pisses me off, because that's such a rip off price on shipping and his "time to handle shipping", so I wouldn't do business with him, but his is new, and the other is used, and I always prefer new over used when the price is similar.

He's probably not located in the US and needs to get one off of Ebay because he can't buy it in a B&M Store.
Anyway, to answer the OP's question, I would go with #2 since it's cheaper, it's new, and he ships internationally. I know he has less feedback, but at least it's still 100%.
Anything under a 99.6% is a bad seller rating. See here for how to win at ebay http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/ebay/seller.htm (linked the researchign seller page) It is multipage article and mostly about cameras and lenses, but very good info.

Yeah....many ebay sellers are doing this.....they sell the product in low price cause ebay earns money for each deal....and they earn their money from shipping costs.

the first one is cheaper ...true but it is also used for 4 dys (according to the seller) and the biggest point to note here is that the shipping cost is by Priority post whereas the second one is by express mail. so i would go by the second option being new and faster delivery. difference is of only 50 bucks here.

I`m a little concerned about getting this thing rooted without an sd card, and how many developers are actually going to jump on board for some good customizations. I also hate how long it takes for it to charge, i would plug up my xoom while running an errand and come back to a charged xoom. The screen on this tab is beautiful coming from a xoom anyways, i felt the xoom was washed out from the first time i cut it on. If the xoom was the same size and weight as the 10.1 i would keep the xoom just because how far it is along with development and customizing. As far as Costco man 90 day return and two year warrenty using ur AMEX card how can u beat that! Something better comes out in two months just return it no questions asked. Thats worth the wait!

I know Costco is awesome with the 90 days. I actually bought the transformer and loved it, which is why I know I will like this tablet more. With Honeycomb 3.1 being the same on both I really wanted the thinner, lighter tablet. I am using it for work and will be holding it like a clipboard for 2 hours at a time and felt the form factor would be much better for me.
Thanks for your feedback...
No problem. I dont know the weight of the TF but the 10.1 is not only lighter but more balanced weight wise than my xoom.
We all know that 14 days start from the date it was shipped or purchased from a brick and mortar store, but 90 days is so much better and a no brainer. Thanks for the heads up OP
Costco site says " Pre-order now and it will begin shipping early July " but that's OK. More time for users to post their reviews

Hmmm, wonder if Costco will eventually have it in-store. I pay no sales tax in-store but have to pay the tax online ..... then again, Amazon is "only" 30 days return but no sales tax but it's here a week or 3 earlier. Tough decision: save $30+ and have it next week or pay sales tax but get 60 days extra to return it and wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.
I think I'll stick with Amazon for now .......

Thanks OP. It's great news. I would rather pay my money to Costco than to best buy.
I don't want to buy online in case I want to return. I've already bought and returned both transformer and ipad2. Transformer - because I was tired of restarting it every day due to unresponsive screen. Ipad2 - boring, no flash, no fun, crappy maps and other minor ios annoyances.

The good news, however, is that their ebay rating is very high. Perhaps they perform a little better under the pressure of the ebay rating system. It's also worth noting that the final price is $509 after factoring in ebay bucks, if you use them.
Saving 50 bucks, but with Amazon, you can keep exchanging for one without defects for 0 dollars and they make it incredibly easy with prepaid labels and cross shipping.
Enjoy the extra 16 gigs, though. Totally worth it if it comes without any flaws.

Maybe I'm an Amazon fanboy or something but, the ease and hassle free return/exchange system is worth whatever extra cost there is. Most of those eBay return/exchange policies are a joke. And these days, it's pretty much impossible to get a perfect electronic device the first time around.
"Returns
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA #).
Please contact us at 888-888-2087 to obtain an RMA #.
An RMA number must be issued within 30 days of purchase, and we are unable to accept a return after 30 days.
Returns for refund are subject to a 15% restock fee.
Returns for an exchange are not assessed a restocking fee.
**Non-Returnable Items:Opened Software, Opened Video Games, Opened Gift Cards, opened printer ink, furniture, and TV's 32" and larger.
If any "Non-Returnable" item is defective, the item can be returned or exchanged directly with the manufacturer. TV's 32" and larger are serviced for free within your warranty period inside the home.
Damaged In Shipping: All orders are shipped fully insured. In the unlikely event your item was damaged in shipping, please contact us immediately and retain all packaging. A claim will be initiated and you will have a choice to have a reship or a refund."
That's not too bad, but still looks like quite a hassle. With Amazon, I clicked a button and entered some text about what is defective(squeaky plastic on the backside by left speaker). They emailed me a prepaid label and scheduled UPS to pick it up AND my new tab will be here tomorrow thanks to cross-shipping.

How did yours turn out?
Check for:
Loose or squeaking plastic on the back side
Dust under the screen
Oil blotches on the screen (they seem to appear when the device is hot)
Random unresponsiveness and reboots
Dead pixels and light bleed
I think those are pretty much the only real issues. The first two I had had no deal pixels, light bleed, or oil blotches.
Also, this post right here someone saying they had wake issues. I haven't heard anything about that one yet.

Yeah but IF you purchase your tablet from a local shop (including tax) then you would've paid more for the 16 then the 32. If I could return my 16 for this 32 I would do it in a heartbeat.

I have honestly not seen any of those issues. In fact, I've had fewer issues than I had on my Xoom that I returned prior to ordering his Tab. So far it has been perfect.

win! LOL i only paid 299 and it was full retail! someone should inform him!!
I'm not surprised. Seen listings for phones worth <$300 mint going for $70-$150 with screens so fouled up, you would think they got married and tied it on the back of the car like it was a tin can. Being that big a device, I'd believe someone trying to sell a TF101 it for parts at $400.

It's not someone TRYING to sell at that price. That's the price it's at after 60 bids.
I think we can chalk that up as a win for the seller.

yep exactly. and description isn't confusing at all. I don't understand it. Maybe someone hit up a big offer and the seller asked someone to get the price higher.

The "highest" bidder as of now has a (1) rating.
So yeah could be a "New" account just to bump price up.
soccerdude288 should sell his on Ebay too.
Is not so funny for me. Did you ever check prices in Europe? I bought my TF for 700$ before 6 months now is around 600$. Ok the price for as-is for US is high but as you can see shipping is worldwide
Lolol

It may not be that, either. I tried selling several of my used phones (including an iPhone 4) over the past year or so. Every time I tried to post a decently priced (~$150-200 USD for a phone that was selling for $300 used typically) some random 'new' account would either buy the phone out or balloon the bid up to some ungodly amount. Sure enough, payment would never be received, eBay would insist I give them their cut (even though they could clearly see I had never been paid, through PayPal or any other means), and my phones never sold. After 10 months of fighting this nonsense, and eBay still insisting I owed them seller fees for successfully sold items, I gave up completely on that rotten site. It's chock full of nonsense these days.

Ain't that the truth. I put a CULV machine up for sale at what I thought was a reasonable $50 starting bid. Within an hour I got an email from someone who told me (not asked, mind you) to close the listing, ship him the laptop and he would send me the $50. I declined, and he sent me another email telling me my laptop would never sell on eBay.
Shortly after that, two new accounts started a bidding war and took the price up to $1000. The price sat there until the auction ended 6 days later. Of course, no sale. I tried to work with eBay, but all they agreed to was not charging me to relist the laptop. They also claimed to close the two accounts, but a month after this you could still find the accounts on the site.
Moral: eBay has become a sales sewer. Thugs are running the place, and for every interesting and reasonably priced product you can find, there are 500 crap knockoffs waiting to take your money.

Forgive me for being a dumbass, but what do you guys think these "new" accounts' intentions are for pushing prices way up and then not paying?

Force people to look elsewhere to buy the same item for less. For example, to their auctions.

Or as retaliation. That emailer was right-- the laptop didn't sell.
Flip side, some could do it if their auction isn't making what they'd like it to make.

I bought mine with price matching at BestBuy this afternoon.
same. did they give you a spiel about this is an exception. that they don't normally pricematch a coupon.
YES! they refused to do it for me, and I even called afterwards and even though their site says they'll price match within the fifteen days, the guy refused to over the phone telling me that the site is obviously wrong bc they only price match at time of purchase. I was like k sure.. I'll call back tomorrow.

I ordered&picked-up then found out staples has the coupon. So I call bestbuy customer service (twice) to get a price adjustments
(also chatted once online). Got a woman then a young guy. Both sounded very rude and unprofessional, eventhough I knew enough
to talk nicely (when I need something done for me).
Sound like they don't get paid well enough to care, just getting thru the day to get paid.
I was about to get to the store and try a return/re-buy. But then staples sent me a shipping confirmation.
So that would be good 'cause I ain't want to deal with bestbuy anymore. I actually hope they improve to survive so I can have
more places to shop.
Can't fault Best Buy because Staples made a mistake by not excluding the Nexus 7 2013 and probably losing money on each with coupon.

I typically don't let myself get upset if things like this don't work because this IMO staples coupon situation is technically in the same realm as a price error - as mii7chy said, they probably lose money on each tablet sold with this coupon especially considering this is a brand new item.
Consider yourself lucky that you at least got an order through staples with the discount, there are plenty that didn't!
Squeezed my order yesterday just before they ran out of stock. I was afraid I was gonna get a cancel order but, shipping this morning

Staples refused to honor the coupon in their store. Manager said corporate sent a message out that stores can't honor the $30 discount for any nexus 7. That is BS!
I went to best buy to price match and the guy said they have been doing that all day. When he asked his supervisor to get me a nexus 7 the guy said they don't price match that offer anymore because staples refuses to honor it. This all bs!

Call your local best buy and ask first. Apparently some still are, but a lot aren't.
Best Buy wouldnt honor unless staples had inventory in my case of the 32 which they didnt. if i had 16 they would of. i went to staples to buy the 16 with coupon and the then sell the 32 but staples said the coupon excludes the new nexus 7 via few hours AGO.
oh well.. still have my 32

Same here. Depends on the store-employee. First staples I went douche kid would not take it. Went to another one and lady took coupon no questions asked. Also their website said out of stock but both stores had them (Salt lake city).

It sells pretty fast here, I bought it and the next day I log on their website, it's out of stock already...
Yay
I got the last 16gb at my local staples. They did honor the coupon(on Sunday). $199 for the new N7 is a deal I couldn't pass up.
