I apologize for the long post but I wanted to provide as much info as I could about my issue.
I need some help from the experts….
I have an incredible and here is the current state of the phone:
rooted
s-off
Amoled
ROM SkyRaider 2.5.2 Sense
Radio 2.15.00.09.01
Chad’s Incredikernel 2.6.32.26
Clockwork 3.0.0.8
I have been running SkyRaider 2.5.2 Sense for quite sometime (as you can tell by the version number since he is now at v4.0) and like the ROM it runs great and has been very stable. About 6 weeks ago (Mid March) I decided to try IncRom and installed 1.5 Beta2, it was a great ROM and I liked it so much when IncROM 1.6 came out I installed that about 4 weeks later. As an FYI I did a full wipe of data and cache between all ROM changes. I like that ROM as well but here is where it gets a little strange. About a week ago (or so) my friendstream stopped updating my FB updates and would only update my twitter and my contacts in my phonebook that I have linked to FB their pictures and status that scrolls under their name on their contact record stopped updating and was stuck with the status messages and profile pics from a week ago (when the last update took place). Now when I go to settings, account & sync and view Facebook for HTC Sense it is selected for updates ever 2 hours and contact records and live feeds are both selected as well. I can even have it sync now and the data sync circle comes up showing syncing but nothing changes when I go check statuses and profile pics. I also have the FB app that I use to and it runs perfectly, I even tried to “add account” in account & sync and add the actual FB app instead of FB for HTC Sense but when I try to selected FB nothing happens. So after fiddling with this for a while (clearing cache, data and stuff for FB and FB for Sense in settings>applications>manage applications menu and it nothing changed I decided something was hanging up somewhere so I decided try a new ROM and see if it had something to do with IncROM 1.6 so I went to SkyRaider to install 4.0. I did a complete data and cache wipe by doing a factory reset in Recovery and then I installed the ROM. I did this via recovery and not ROM Manager. The ROM installed with no issues that I could tell and when I went through the initial set up process where you are entering your Google account, wifi info, location tracking stuff, all went well until it came to the part where you were asked to provide your FB, flickr and twitter info. I selected FB and entered my login credentials and when I selected OK there was a pause and then an error box appeared with a message saying process unavailable at this time do you want to try again or cancel (I don’t have the exact wording of the message but you get the idea). I selected try again several times but the exact same message kept appearing so I ha d no choice but to select cancel. I decided to go on with the set up process and try my Twitter logon and I put in my credentials and waited and waited while there was a line going in a circle like it was trying to do something. I never received an error message as I eventually hit the back arrow and it canceled out of trying to log me in to twitter. I did that a few times and decided to jus skip the FB/Twitter log on process during set up. Once set up was complete everything about the ROM look and appeared to function perfectly except anything having to do with FB or Twitter regarding Sense (no FB pics for my contact records, no status updates because I was unable to log into FB to pull and sync those contact records). So I decided to just do a Nandroid restore from a time where I knew FB for Sense was working. So I went back to my 3/18/2011 nandroid restore which was when I went from Skyraider 2.5.2 to IncROM 1.5 beta2. When I did the nandriod restore everything came back as expected but my friendstream and all my FB for sense would not update with the current updates, it was stuck on the last update as of 3/18/2011. So I went back in to recovery and did a full factory reset and data cache wipe and did another Nandroid restore to another restore point and the same thing happened all restored without issue but anything having to do with FB for sense (contact pics and status updates) were stuck from the last update that was done prior to the nandroid backup and would not update the to anything current.
So I said all of this to say, when you do a full wipe of data and cache via ROM Manager or a factory reset via recovery what does not get wiped? Something is not wiping out and Sense stuff specifically FB and Twitter is not working like it should and what do I need to do to fix my FB and Twitter Sense stuff. Is this and issue of Clockwork 3.0.0.8? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix my Sense so I can have the fb sync with contacts and status updates?
Send from my Droid Incredible.

When i first rooted my aria it was great, i could switch between liberated_aria, cm6, and intruder easily.
Now, whenever i flash a new rom I cannot get my google account to sync. My phone says "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. Please contact your wireless network"
No matter what rom i try, it will not let me add a google account. I have tried all three roms and 2 different google accounts. I have to use wifi or nandroid restore to access my google accounts. I can use wifi on all roms but cm6 does not have wifi.
has anyone had this problem and no how to fix it? i want to use cm6 for a while but i have to have my google account for contact and all that.
thanks
Reboot into clockwork recovery and do a data wipe/factory restore before re-flashing the ROM of your choice.
You will lose all data though (contacts, SMS, apps, settings). Losing contacts and apps might not be too big of a deal though, since you can sync your contacts through google and backup your apps using Titanium Backup.
ive done tat, it still didnt work.
I am running Cyanogenmod 5.0.8 on a T-Mobile Mytouch3G (I tried upgrading twice to CM 6.0.0 but due to issues (lots of Force Quits due to running out of memory - I did not try swapping), went back to Android 2.1).
After running into the issue where creating a new folder would generate a Force Quit (ACore) message, I followed the advice here of running su -> fix_permissions which did solve that issue. However, it created the issue where the Phone Lock (i.e. slide to unlock) no longer appears. It also reset several passwords but that is manageable and also reset my Android Market list so it thinks my downloads were not installed, which was also manageable.
I have tried other lock programs (Lock 2.0, myLock) from Android Market but they don't always work.
I'd greatly appreciate suggestions on how to fix this problem.
Thank you
You can try reflashing CM without a wipe.
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
I tried that but ended up having lots of issues with my phone so I restored my Nandroid backup. I may try flashing it again sometime in the near future.
I encountered further problems with my phone last week, especially with no missed call messages or flashing LEDs being displayed when I missed several calls one evening.
After using multiple backup utilities (just in case) to backup all of my call logs, SMS, MMS, Applications and Data, I dropped into Nandroid last night and did a full user data wipe along with the Cache and Battery Status. (It was a good thing I had used multiple utilities as the first program I tried couldn't find my backup after the install).
I then updated to CyanogenMod 6.0.0 and Gapps-tiny 09302010 and downloaded fresh copies of my applications (moving them to the SD Card where possible) and restored my backups. After completing that, I was pleased to note that the phone lock was restored along with the missed call LED and title bar notifications.
So, n00b to the forums here, at least as far as posting, but I've been lurking around and I'm pretty familiar with rooting and its processes (been doing it for about a year now).
Anyways, on to the issue:
I have a Droid X. I originally rooted it when I get it around Sept. of 2010. Hadn't touched it, all was swell. Wanted to get updated to .340, and I was on the old leaked Froyo. So I decided to start clean, did a Titanium Backup of all files (just in case) then did a data/cache wipe and did an SBF boot using RSD Lite to .340. After the boot, I had to re-activate and resync my phone and immediately thereafter I went ahead and re-rooted and put on MIUI. (The new version, found at the forum here. ) All seems well and good, got it booted up, loving the new interface. But when I go in to contacts, I only have 14, compared to my previous 200 or so.
Now yes, I do use Google backup for contact sync. So I went in to my google account on my laptop, and the blasted thing is only showing 14 contacts too! So apparently, at some point after the SBF and loading MIUI it got corrupted somehow. Maybe because I went straight in to downloading z4root and re-rooting and re-bootstrapping in to MIUI, I'm not sure. Regardless, I'm missing all my contacts. I did check My Verizon and they are all there, but the format My Verizon uses is not compatible with the MIUI interface.
So, here's my question. I really don't want to have to go through and add all 180+ missing contacts manually from My Verizon, OR have to go back to a stock ROM to sync from My Verizon. I do have a Titanium Backup copy of my contacts though. That being said, MIUI uses a different contact storage system than the OTA. Is there a way to translate those files to the MIUI interface? Or for that manner even get it on to MIUI? The rest of my app recovery through Titanium Backup has gone swimmingly, but when I try Recover the data portion of the Contact Storage, it just puts it on an endless loop and never recovers.
Any ideas?
The usual problem - I flashed a custom ROM, signed into my gmail account, then restored the backup of my main ROM,
Now I can't install apps from a PC browser on G Play, it works fine on the phone, just not from the PC
I've cleared cache, data of play store and google services from the phone
Remove my account and re-added it
Removed all devices permissions from my account and set them back up
rebooted the phone
Ive run out of ideas, anyone know what's up?
The device shown in my account is saying it's last access was the 26th, which was about when I flashed that custom ROM, so I'm guessing it's still not seeing my current ROM even after all of that
PITA Google, why make things so complicated ?
Anyone know how to remove that old device and force it to see my current one?

I've fixed it, there was no error, it just refused to detect the phone at all, when I pressed INSTALL on the website, it only gave options of my old April 26th ROM, not my current one
Finally after booting to recovery and clearing all caches, then opening Play store app on the phone, it finally (After 20 tries) detected the phone again and works as it should
That's 2 days of using my phone, that the play store web version failed to detect the phone at all
Come on Google, get it sorted, this has been going on for years, I remember the same problem back in 2012 with my tablet
I currently have 2 backups in TWRP, the first from a couple weeks ago of a CM14.1 installation, and the 2nd I just made today prior to updating my current AICP nightly build.
A while ago I restored the CM backup and remembered I hadn't backed up my texts from that period, so I download SMS Backup & Restore and go into Messaging just to check that the correct messages were there. Sure enough they were, and at a glance I could tell the contents of the first few conversations were definitely from a couple weeks ago when I had them, but I could only see for a split second because immediately upon opening the messaging app, all conversations flew up the screen and disappeared over the span of about a second as if they were being deleted spontaneously before displaying the "Once you start a new conversation, you'll see it listed here" empty inbox background.
I didn't know why but I didn't care at the time so I left it for another day. Well that day is today, as right after I made my backup before updating the AICP nightly I saw the old one and thought hey I'll try grabbing those old texts again. Same thing happened so I restored back to today's backup and rebooted, went into messaging, and the same exact thing happened, albeit I was able to see that the conversations were indeed from recently, up to earlier today, before they all disappeared.
WTF? I installed a couple other 3rd party messaging apps just to see if the SMS content was still in the database and the stock app was just messing up, but they showed empty inboxes as well. Weird thing is if I restore from the nandroid backup again, I'll reboot and sure as sh*t, there the messages are once again, for a sweet split second before whoosh, they're gone! Does anyone know why it does that? Is this a nougat thing or has anyone experienced this on earlier android versions as well? I don't care about the backup, I just want to archive my old messages, but they nuke themselves as soon as I boot into a restore.
Oh if it helps, it seems upon restoring, the adopted SD card storage is wiped as well, so apps that were previously on the SD card show a dead white link on my home screen. The portable storage section of the card is just fine though (I did the fastboot trick where you split the adopted storage 50/50 between internal and portable storage)
I've noticed the same thing. It is not just you. SMS database doesn't survive TWRP restores on N roms.
I've got another phone that would give endless "Phone has stopped" FC messages upon a TWRP restore when it was first brought up to 7.1. It needed a fix in the roms to get TWRP backups to work right with it. Just a wild guess, but could be something similar at work here.
