Hang up Tone - can it be removed? - Droid X General

I have a Droid Pro, but this device gets no love on any forums, and I'm thinking the procedure might be the same for most Moto devices. When a call ends, there is an annoying tone that plays. If I'm on speaker, it's really quite loud. Is there a sound file I can remove or rename through Root Explorer that will eliminate that tone? I've already used RE to rename the boot DROID sound - hoping someone knowledgeable with Moto Android devices in general might be able to assist.
Thanks in advance!

Help: Ringtones come through while on a call.

Hey all,
I have searched high and low and can't find any solution, I have no2chem's k release but have been having this problem on multiple roms including BuildOS and such.
The problem is that whenever I'm on a call, instead of just hearing the call waiting beep, I hear the entire ringtone blasting in my ear and there's no way to stop it. Most of the time I can't even hear the person I was originally on the phone with. I have to tell them to hold on while the ringer blasts in my ear. There is only one program I have installed that I can think might be causing a problem, which is Ringo Mobile, but I can't find anything that suggests there is a connection between the two. Can anybody figure this out? Or maybe can someone install this program and see if they're having a similar issue?

Notifications and ringer through headset only?

Hello, after being on the iphone 3g for my 2 years the one thing I really liked was the ability to have the phone on vibrate but, at the same time I could hear custom ringtones so I knew who was calling.
Is there any way I could turn off the sound completely to to handset speaker and have go directly to my headset? I did a search I may have overlooked it a I played with the settings with headset plugged in and to no avail
Booo on this feature.. unless I'm missing something..
Sadly, that's either a feature of Android OS or Motorola.
I had a winmo phone as well, HTC Fuze that sent everything to my BT headset, which was nice, I don't even remember having to silence the phone as it sent everything to my headset.
I had the Droid X on Verizon, and I couldn't get it to do the same, played with all the settings, nada!.... was thinking it was just the Droid X...
Now on my Atrix, same thing as the Droid X.. which makes me believe it's the Android OS. The only way I know if I get a txt/phone call is when I'm listening to music, and it get a quick pause for when a text/email notification pops up. Same with phone call, goes silent longer, so I know my phone is ringing.. which sux, cus then I have to go see who's calling cus I can't hear the custom ringtone in my headset....
Wow! That's how I noticed as well when the music stopped. Yeah sucks now I gotta look but I guess that's what we get for being lathargic lol. I do hope they come up with a remedy for this though.

Ringtone/notification volume issue

I seem to be having an issue with the notifications and ringtones on my new Moto X Pure. Ringtones are 'ascending' and start out very quiet. and some notifications seem to be the same way but the tones are so short that all that ends up happening is that you don't hear them at all. It also doesn't seem to affect every app - I don't hear anything when I get a Facebook message, but emails and texts seem fine. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?
Most apps have their own sound settings. Check the apps that are giving you trouble and see if there is a setting for sending ringtones.

I checked everywhere to see if you can turn this off and failed. It's something that's very annoying to me
This is a serious issue ....I am considering returning the phone because I cannot even hear my notifications ...spoke to motorola and of course they said they are not aware of any issue
.....if they would acknowledge the problem and address it in a software update I wouldn't care but since they don't even acknowledge the issue ....

That app seems to work for everything but Facebook which is fine for me. Give it a try. Hopefully once some custom roms start dropping this issue is fixed
Someone else and I are having similar issues with low volume: http://www.reddit.com/r/motox/comments/3maaw1/_/
Edit: Others experiencing the same issue on Moto's forum: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/36193b0f11

I have had ring tone volume going down to zero and not being able to adjust it 3 times now. I think I just figured out that this happens when moto assist puts it into "driving" mode and I'm wearing my bluetooth headset. Only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. So annoying!

I don't mind the ringtone volume as much as the low notification volume. It sucks. I constantly miss messages and email. The buzz sound you get from vibrate is louder than the darn notification.

This seems to be a good workaround. To get it to work check "New normalization method." I was also getting an annoying notification in the status bar that the app was waiting for a call. I was able to get rid of this by going into settings-apps-disable increasing ring and then deselecting "show notification." App still works.
Now onto trying to reduce the vibration intensity or pattern of this phone. If anyone knows how to do that, please advise. Also wish this phone had separate volume control for the ringtones and notifications.

I don't know how well this will be in the long run. But I disabled moto voice and restarted. The ascending issue is gone all around. . I will keep you posted and see if this isn't just a fluke

Im not sure if this is related but Ive noticed the ringtones are coming out on both top and bottom speakers but notification tones are onlu coming out from the bottom speaker are you having the same issue?

The workaround I'm using is to add ~2 seconds silence to the initial portion of the MP3 file for my notification MP3s. This means that during this initial 2 seconds of an MP3, while the XT1575 volume ramps up, there is nothing playing, then the actual sound plays at full volume. Works like a charm.
I use my own MP3s for notifications and ringtones. Used an old version of Goldwave to do this (and other useful things) to the MP3s, then loaded them on to phone.
If you're rooted this is the fix I through together thanks to the help of the moto x play thread. Check it out and make sure to thank the guy who created the original file

This issue is annoying to me also, moto needs to fix this quiet notification ****.

I had the same issue with every nexus 6 I had (3 of them, all returned). Motorola has something very wrong going on with the speaker hardware/config file.
For anyone who happened to install a custom ROM or the OTA Marshmallow update, do you still have this ascending ringtone issue? I cannot hear my notification sounds, but after installing the "Disable Increasing Ringtone" app, it seems to have helped for most notifications except for FB Chat Heads.
If your rooted, AICP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63842724 has the setting built in.

Found a fix for this if you are rooted. Worked great for me to fix this bug http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/mod-disable-ascending-ringtone-t3218683
Still not fixed? Motorola you useless twats.
Not even fixed after the 6.0.1 update (Moto X Style, reteu version). Why is it so hard to give us a toggle for this... As much as I like this phone, there are a few quirks that will make me never buy anything non-Nexus ever again, starting this fall.

Help I hate Asceding Ringtone and Ascending Speakerphone?

The Moto Z force seems to have a FORCED feature that makes the ringtone silent on the first two rings then gets louder.... also when switching to speakerphone its quiet then gets louder same way.
I hate this Anyone know how to stop this. Whats the freaking point. I tried an app but it only worked on the RINGER not the speakerphone. Also it had to run all the time in the notification bar.... Worthless.
Disable Increasing Ringtone should fix this for you
sadly it doesnt work , it works for runger but app must run in notification bar ALWAYS. Also it doesn't fix ascending speakerphone.
I have a while to return it. This is the most annoying thing, dont know what moto was thinking.

Ringer and notification volume control

Hi all,
I've got mi A1 just as a backup device, but I started liking it and using it a lot and it's a really nice phone, but I just can't figure out how to separate ringer and notifications volume as I want to leave incoming calls ringer loud and notifications barely audible. All my other phones have this feature: LG G5, OnePlus 5, Nexus 5 but I can't find it on this phone. I've tried searching here and YouTube and Google and can't find anything. Could anyone help me with this? Thank you.

Unfortunately no luck with that so just keeping my phone on silent as I can't stand that blaring notification sound as it's always maxed out if you watch something on YouTube and pressing volume before video stars by mistake and ending up with max volume. I've tried few apps but uninstalled them as they look more like bloatware rather anything useful.
I'm surprised that nobody else is facing this issue. This is my first android phone where I can't adjust notification volume and ringer separately. Let me know if you find a workaround.
From Oreo videos on YouTube it seems that notifications volume on A1 hasn't been separated too.
As far as I remember, there used to be Xposed module for that, don't recall that any of my previous phones had separate volume control for ringtone and notifications, though I never looked for such feature, I want to have it linked together [emoji846]
As the last resort - create bunch of notification sounds with extremely low volume and use those instead of built in sounds..
