Hey all,
Anyone had any experience with Gameloft support?
I rooted my phone, but had already purchased 3 games from Gameloft so I lost them. I have been emailing support (with receipts) for 8 days now asking for new download details, and the only response I get is from their automated reply.
I want more of their games, but after this experience I may just have to get them all... in an alternative way
Anyone else experience similar?

Ok my bad, didn't think that one through. I lost the data when I flashed the bootloader.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot next
When you download a gameloft game the .apk should be in the downloads folder of your memory card... surely that should still be there...

Ive never had a problem with support with gameloft, if i lost an apk i just emailed support, they then sent an email link or a text link with the download. Modern combat 2 didnt work poperly so they asked me what game i wanted for free to keep while they worked on a patch, got myself real football 2011 for nothing. Just be pleasant to the support team and youll get better responses

The Nintendo 64 Emulator N64oid was taken from the market.

This is very bad news for people who were waiting to get a new phone to play the graphically intensive n64 games.
Hopefully it will come back, but it looks like it may be gone for good.
Link dead. But yea what the heck are they doing?

Some guy on a forum said google is doing a crackdown on emulation.

Don't worry, it wouldn't be because the dev is poor. He's coded all the other great emulators. Apparently it was Google laying the smack down.
People are sharing the .apk, but I'm sure if you email the dev he'll share it with you directly as you've legitimately paid for it as well. I did so too but thankfully have it backed up for when I get my Atrix.
do you think they will start removing the other emulators? I've been putting off buying one and if they are being taken down I mind as well buy now while I can.
I emailed Yongzh and got this as a reply:
"Yong Zhang to me

A great number of users are complaining about the compatibility and running performance. I am doing a rewrite of some of the core modules. Don't worry, N64oid will be back much better in 1-2 months.
Thanks for the understanding! I won't let people down."
Just to let everyone know all Gameloft Games for the Xperia Play are £1 for 24 hours!!!! Get em while their cheap.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the links to download the games?
My handset isn't loading the 'nopuk.netsizeonline.com' site which enables you to download the relevant files.

Busy changing their credit card details
For the past few hours the site hasn't worked. I managed to start to download the APK for a game before I was having problems, however it failed.
I can now access the site again, but all games are showing as £3. What's going on? I assume the offer has finished, but I wasn't able to take advantage of it because the website wasn't working... :-(
Also worked fine for me, have an account, so just a simple login and one click buy :-D Got three games...
Regards Dousan...
I got me a fivers worth, thanks for the heads up.
anyone else bought assassins creed and thought £1 was way to much to pay!
ive had more entertaining farts.
Thanks for the heads up, got another couple
Their Support is disgraceful, I have been emailing them daily for the past 2 weeks with zero replies.
I had bought 3 games before I flashed my phone, then lost them & have been emailing support for fresh download links but they are ignoring me. For anyone else with same problem, I figured out a workaround - the initial small file that you download got saved to my SD card under the download folder of my Dolphin browser. I just installed from there & it let me download the 200Mb portion & all is working again.
I bough 9 Games while there £1 haha, i cant get modern combat 2 to work though, it launches the first time to download the data but then force closes, i mite try deleting it and installing again
Lol, I bought splinter cell yesterday.... wondered why it was only £1

Hi, thanks for checking this thread.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the Gameloft games that I have bought for my Iconia a500 will work after updating my tab with Dexters PRIMEE port?
I hear it is a pretty solid rom and I hate to not do it. But I don't want to lose my games.
I've already lost them once when I returned the first Iconia to BestBuy. I had to go through Gamelofts Customer Service to get the games back. Fortunately they were awesome to deal with.
I don't know how the games are authenticated. It's just that I am not certain whether my tablet will still pass if make changes like that to it.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Well, you could use titanium backup to, erm, backup your games + data, then make a nandroid backup using CWM, install Primee, then restore your games using titanium again.
Thanks for that. If I decide to go with PRIMEE I'll definitely go that route.
Appeciate the help.
No problem. If you have the time, give Prime a go. 3.1 feels faster and works great.
even with my phone i rarely use nandroid i just make frequent baclups in titianium. once in a while it loses my homerun 3d battle

First, thanks for everything Dexter, I appreciate you taking the time to help out here. Don't know how you possibly do it all.
The Gameloft store is where I bought my games as well.
Question.
Did you buy Asphalt6 before you made and installed that way cool rom of yours on your tablet? If so did you re-install it from the apk, or did you just go back to the Gameloft store on your device?
The reason that I ask is that when I returned my tablet I couldn't get to those games online to put them back on the new tablet. I actually had to go through customer service at Gameloft.
Why?
It seems that when I bought my games using the a500 at the Gameloft store, They didn't give me, the owner, an account for the games. They assigned an account to the tablet. Perhaps I should have bought the games through their webpage on a pc. I may have been better off...
Anyway, I am pretty sure that's why I had trouble and also why I am concerned. If my tablet doesn't identify as the tablet that the games are associated with, I don't think that they will re-install.
So I suppose that the real question is this. Will the Rom change whatever the identifier is that the apps look for? I figure that it is the serial number and possibly the model number too. So everything will be most likely be fine. But after what it took to get them back I'd like to be certain.
Thanks in advance for taking time for this. And thank you for sharing your Rom with us. Great job.

probably why asphalt works fine..
i copied it before i formatted it, and then installed again. but here, its the same tablet..
Right on, thanks for confirming that.
Has anyone tried running any of the Gameloft games on their transform especially Asphalt 6? I did see a thread on Xoom where people have supposedly been able to get it to work. I also don't just want to flush my money either.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000450
When you go to the Gameloft website with the transform it just tells you there are no compatible games. If the games work on the Xoom then I see no reason they would on our Transformers.
You can find your answers here:

Yes Asphalt 6 works...
OK, so I have tried this link below numerous times & it is the one referred to in the Xoom thread. When I fill out the information for purchase nothing happen when I click on buy. It just reverts back with blank field. Is there another link?

The link you posted works for me but I havent tried getting all the way to the order page. Have you made sure your browser user agent is not on Desktop? That could make a difference. Someone in a thread I posted said Gameloft may have closed whatever hole was allowing us to buy games for unapproved devices., so it could just be that.
My microsd card became corrupt today, and I had to format it. When I go to a previously bought game (Let's Golf 2) from the Xperia Play games launcher, it says I have to purchase it again, and asks for a payment method. This is also the case for Rainbow Six. Any ideas how I can get these to download again?
Edit: My bad, it's on the My Account page of their mobile interface.
You buy mobile games?
None of my games show up on my account page on their website.
I purchased nearly all of them then reformated my phone and lost them all. Only Asphalt 6 shows up.
I emailed their customer support who got back to me and said if they dont show up, re-email them and they will fix it.
I didnt bother though. Once you complete most games you kind of get bored with them anyway.
But yea, for most people you can re-download stuff via your account page.
