Unlocking issue

I search and did not find this issue raised so if it does exist and I missed it, forgive me. Assuming it is not there, any help is greatly appreciated
T-Mobile just sent me a replacement Wing for the one that crapped out on me. I had unlocked the other unit however the new unit is locked.
When I turn the unit on I get the message: "Network is locked. Please input unlock code." which is standard when I use a non TM sim.
I paid to get an IMEI unlock code online (which I did previously with no issues) and got the code today. When I enter the code (some 15-20 digits) the Wing only allows a max of 8 digits in the field and will not unlock.
When I did this with the older Wing, it was some long code that worked just fine. I asked the unlocker and they are not sure why it is only accepting 8 digits.
Anyone know what this is about and how to work around it? TM will not give me an unlock code as they say "they do not do this for pre-pay customers"

Tmo has an unlock team/sim team. Based on the east coast. They are swamped but if you can get in touch with them they will usually email you the codes for overseas travel after two days. Dont know the number.
Tell them you are going out of the country.

[Q] Htc Hero not Accepting Unlock code - TMN Portugal

I have bought a unlock code for my HTC hero, which is locked to TMN, portugal.
Now the thing is that the code is not working, the phone says "Network Unlock request unsuccesful"
Can anyone shed some light? Maybe some custom rom? I am running a Modaco ROM

Unfortunately I've tried 3 diferent unlock code sites or services, and all of them had to refund the money I payed, because they say their generators can't handle codes for TMN-Portugal.
One of them even has access to HTC database and said that the "imei" didn't appear in the database... so I'm still working on it...
If I get it unlocked... I'll let you know!

unfortunately TMN changes the unlock codes, i too have tried numerous solutions without success
best thing to do is wait for the 18months to pass and have them unlock it for free or just pay whatever fee they charge you (there is a calculator somewhere on their website)

Speak To t-mobile, I beleive they will unlock it for you, I am not sure if they charge / how much they charge for it though.

A carrier can not charge you for a sim code. I love the poeple that pay for something they could easiely get for free from their carrier.

Here they ask the following details before rendering the unlock codes they are
1. Mobile model
2. Country from where you brought the mobile
3. Provider to which the mobile is locked
4. Imei number of the mobile
Finally they will send you the unlock codes .once
you entered the code in your mobile as for the instruction

$46 for an unlock code is ridiculous.

If your phone is older than 90 days, call T-Mobile and ask for the code, they will give it to you.

You can get the unlock code from service provider and unlock it...

vitamise,he will usualy do unlock for about 10 euro.
have used three times,all ok.

Unlock code atrix

Hi, i bought atrix and try to enter unlock code.The phone was lock cannot work in at&t or other carrier. When inset the at&t sim it show message "sim network unlock pin",when i enter an unlock code,it says "network unlock unsuccessful". I put in another sim - the samse resault. I bought 2 unlock codes for it - the samse situation. I live not in usa so i can not call to atst. Please help. What should i do?
Answers - throw in the garbage, or gift it to me or something like it will not be accepted

where did you get your unlock code from? i hear good things about http://cellunlock.net

You realize that AT&T gives you 5 free unlock codes a year....do you have AT&T or know someone who does?

just call at&t and ask for it, you'll give em your imei and they give you code and poof!
theres a blackout period of 6months after launch for at&t to NOT give the codes out past that its whoever asks.

I suspect that the seller blocked phone. Found in that kind of thing A Hard Lock is a permanent carrier lock.Your phone will become hard locked by attempting to enter an incorrect unlock code more times than your phone allows, permanently locking the phone to the current carrier. Each phone manufacture has a different limit for the amount of unsuccessful attempts before the device becomes hard locked. The standard amount for Nokia, Samsung and Motorola is 5 attempts. The standard amount for LG and Blackberry is 10 attempts. The messages below are examples of what a Hard Locked phone will display. To test this needed to be done: Power on the phone with a Not Accepted Sim card. The phone will display "Sim Network Unlock Pin". In order to find how many attempts you have remaining you must enter a invalid code. You can do this by entering all zeros "0" as the unlock code which will be either, 8 or 16 digits depending on model. This will give you a Network Unlock Request Failure and a message "Number of Attempts Remaining: #" will display on the screen. If your phone is Hard Locked it will display "Number of Attempts Remaining: 0" andyou should not proceed with purchasing an Unlock code as your phone is permanently locked. Motorola phones come from the factory with five attempts. This is how it turned out. Tell me please what to do in such cases.

[Q] Unlock codes

I've just got the s4 on EE but need it unlocking, I bought a code for 14.99 it didn't work so I bought another from a different place exactly same code lol so I've tried but all I get is unsuccessful I've tried the freeze code that they supplied too but for some reason it won't unlock.
Is there another method to unlock it?

I have exactly the same problem. I bought code (got four codes: NETWORK, PROVIDER, SUBPROVIDER, DEFREEZE) and it didn't work. In email there was couple of methods but I can't go to Network Lock screen after I typing this in dialer *7465625*638*# and don't have idea how to get to MCC/MNC to put code for the service provider.
If someone know at least how to solve this I would be more than happy.
Phone is locked in 3 Sweden.
[EDIT] ok, i managed to unlock - i tried Provider code and then Defreeze code instead of typing Network code. don't know if its matter but before i did it i was trying with simcard from 3 to use some of Dialer codes - but any of them didn't work so i switched to locked simcard and with Provider + Defreeze codes combination.
