limited downloads from opnmarket

hi ive been using opn market to downloads a few apps,some of the apps work and some dont? it says its downloading but nothing appears on my phone when it works it gives me the option to store to my card or device when it doesnt it just says dowloading?? is this because the phone wont suport it ?

I've already seen some "broken" apps in opnmarket - The app is there in the list, but apparently the .cab file doesn't exist on their servers anymore, so ith either gives a connection error or simply does nothing when trying to download.

it must be the majority of the apps then cos most of then dont work?? especially the games

Name a couple that don't work, so someone else can try...

apps not working
Gsound box,mobile gamer tag,shoot em up,numpty physics,just about all of them dont work,the ram disc cleaner worked and the program that shows the bat life % also tetris has worked.

- numpty physics: download works but reviews say doesn't work on HD2
- shoot em up: reviews say download is broken/can't download
- gsoundbox: works for me
- mobile gamertag: download seems to work, haven't tried installing
Click on download should start download, then once completed click on install, there it asks where you want to install
Always read reviews, there's often compatibility info
Make sure you have enough free ROM, as the installers download to the main memory (they self-delete after install).

Where do you "come to check"?
You click download, wait until it finishes, then click install.
I might get it - while it's downloading do NOT click "back" to go and see other stuff, this cancels download. You need to wait on the page until it has finished.

yes i click install it counts up on the % meter then nothing appears either on my device files or card i always wait until it says 100% then i click back

Please get things straight.
The button says "Download". You click on that, then the percentage goes to 100%. Now the button turns into "Install". You click that, it opens the CAB and asks you where you want to install.

hi sorry it says download when i press it the meter counts up to 100% so it looks like its downloading when its finished nothing happens it doesnt ask me where id like to store the cab file nothing hapens

OK. Well something screws up indeed, at 100% the button should turn into "install".
You should try to uninstall opnmarket, download and reinstall. You probably have an old/broken version.
For the record the downloaded cabs are in \Program Files\OpnMarket\Cache.
How much free ROM do you have?

ok,its strange because 1-2 of the apps have worked but ill try an re-install it thanks mate

Did I ask twice. If you're near full, maybe the bigger programs fail downloading because there's just not enough space.

i've tried both i-nigma and mobiletag, but they crash/lock up.

Mobiletag works fine on my HD2.... at what point does it crash for you?

that screen that tells me to take a photo of the code. it sends me to 'camera mode'. after taking the photo, i'll hit return and it brings up a "ARM 11 error" screen. then it crashes out. i'm running energy rom. i downloaded the app thru the developer's website, rather than microsoft marketplace.

I've never gotten anything from ms marketplace either... no point. Anyways, with that app, when it takes you to camera mode, you are not suppose to take the picture yourself. As soon as it can read the bar code properly and it focuses, the program snaps the picture automatically. Just try to get the barcode in the middle of the screen and keep it still so it focuses. Don't push anything to take the pic yourself.... that's probably whats throwing the program off. It has trouble reading the barcode in low light settings sometimes, too.

ahhhh. yep. i didn't position the code correctly in the middle and i kept trying to take photos of it. once i let the code appear like the size of a postage stamp, it finally worked. thanks.
does it force you to use IE too? i googled for a work around so it would use opera instead...but no go.

Not sure. I thought it used opera for me, but I'm not positive. I haven't installed it again since I last changed roms. I'll install it again later and see what I can figure out.

It could be...it is on my HD2, and I still can't get mobiletag to use that instead of IE

any answer for this? would prefer to use opera

If you open Quickmark, then tap "Options" (on the bottom right in the HD2), then tap "Settings", then tap "Settings" again, you should see an option to choose "Opera Browser" instead of IE. If you don't, then this feature might be disabled in your registry. With a registry editor, search for "Quickmark" and you will find a value called "Choice_Browser". Make sure this is set to "1".

marketplace app installation

I have my LIVE services active, when I go into Marketplace and confirm installation of apps.It tells me that the apps will be in the app menu under games, but I do not see anything!
Am I missing something here?

That's the thing! I go into "games" I don't see anything that says play.
When I try to install now from Marketplace within the phone, I get "Can't get this info right now. Check back in a little while".

You have to perform the registry hack and whatnot to get such working properly. Go search it up, you'll find some nice guides on how to.

Any watch face that shows seconds when screen is dimmed?

I'm a nurse and need seconds displayed on my watch for when I perform vitals. I know there are watch faces that display seconds, but they go away once the screen dims. Any third party watch faces that would fit the bill?
BTW loving my gear live! Picked it up this morning.

I haven't seen any. That'd be a massive drain on the battery; the watch would be constantly redrawing the display instead of sitting idle and updating only once a minute. I'm not sure you'd even get through a shift before it were to die...

Yeah true good point. Well maybe there's an app I can load that just gives me seconds for when I go into a patients room. I guess I could load like a timer or something too. Or maybe I'll just have to use a regular watch during my shifts. Thanks for the input.

I'm sure someone could whip up an accurate watchface app that stays alive while open. Not sure if one exists already. But it shouldn't be hard to do at all.

Yeah I would only need it active for the 5-10 min I'm in the room than switch back to a normal clock face. I would gladly donate for this too. Hopefully some Dev see's this.

Also any thing using configurable app like "wear picture watch" since you actually can just configure it to show seconds even while dimmed. There are a few nice wear picture skins out there,this guy has a whole bunch

Hey that url is no good...Also I went to that guys page but its just zip files, not actual apks. He has some amazing designs. Wish I could actually download them. thanks for the info.
I'm learning that app but can't figure out the seconds part. Under clock draw interval, I figure that's where I need to be. I've tried sec always but seconds still don't pop up. Any ideas?

It's amazing how little people read.
i linked you to an app called "wear picture watch". Download and install that. Open it, it's a watch designer. Download the zip file from that guys page now open "wear picture watch" app. Goto the side menu scroll down you'll see "import/export" click on it. Now select the zip file and click "refresh" on top. There are other settings here on this app where you can adjust what shows up and what doesn't. One of those options can be tuned to have the seconds hand show up even when dimmed. Furthermore there is "update interval" which can be changed do the second hand moves even when dimmed.

Actually you originally linked me to a play google link first. Which did NOT work. Which is why I said url did not work. Than I did go to that G+ link. I originally didn't see the instructions within the posts on G+, so my bad. Maybe I was distracted by the nice designs. As for the "update interval" section, there is none. There is a "clock draw interval" but not a update interval. I only saw that under weather settings.
I got it working. It is in fact the "clock draw interval", not "update interval". Just had to change that to sec. always(wake lock). Now just need to figure out how to get some numbers in there displayed around the clock.

No worries, got it working exactly how I want it! So glad you pointed this out. So now I can just switch to this clock temporarily when I go in to see patients. I will post the file(assuming I can, and of course giving credit to where its due) that I used with the adjustments I made to allow seconds be displayed even while dim. So if future medical personal come along, they have a way to use their smart watch at work. thanks again.

Help getting a face

As an EMT this is exactly what I'm looking for! Downloaded wear picture watch app, but am having a hard time getting faces imported. Went to the G+ page and got the box link to download a face. It downloads a .face file. Question is where do I go from there. I do not see an import/export option in the app.

I keep getting that banner pop up at the bottom middle portion of the screen. It happens at various apps and places like the app drawer. I don't know what download it is and how to stop it? I was almost certain that there's no active download every time that message pop up.

Same. I searched the web for this and this thread is the only thing that came up. I wonder if it has to do with apps auto updating in the background or something... Although if it was just a google play store thing then it'd probably be more widespread across other phones, and we happen to have the same phone. So maybe it's some zte thing. I'm trying to think of what of theirs auto updates... Maybe the lock screen backgrounds.. I know those update periodically. It's not a system/os update cuz I have none of those available.

What does it say?

It says "Unable to resume the download. You need to restart the download", just in a rounded rectangle box near the bottom of the screen.

hi, have you tried factory reset your phone? I guess the problem is related with the APP. You may replace the APP or upgrade it.

Okay, let's try to find the culprit. Do you guys have root? I believe those are toast notifications. Download "Toast Source" from the Play Store and see which app is bothering

I don't have root. I just installed the Toast Source app but I haven't seen the notification in a while so I'll have to just wait and see.

Ok, Toast Source just caught it and apparently the built in Download Manager app (orange icon, I'm assuming it's from zte) is giving the message. The last two times it showed up was i think after i had left range of a wifi network (screen might have been off), and after waking up in the morning and unlocking my phone.
I also had no active downloads running, and don't see anything in the list in the download manager app, so it's gotta be something happening automatically in the background.
