[Q] Lock/Unlock listener - Android Software Development

Hello, im developing an application that shows usage stadistics to the user. Like battery&device usage.
What I want to know when the phone is unlocked for save some info like the time, battery percent etc. and then compare that info when the phone is locked again.
Someone could help me to know how i can listen the lock/unlock events in the phone?
thanks!

Low CPU speed to conserve batt

I have been playing with BS Ext for about a week now - very nice tool, thanks!
Question 1:
Has anyone thought of keeping CPU speed low when your device is sleeping (screen off, etc) regardless of app that may be running in background? I am trying to conserve battery life, of course. When the screen is off my phone will run progs (e.g. check for mail regularly) and I truly do not care if they run slower since I am not watching them. Since BS is essentially based on CPU usage or program I do not see how this could be accomplished.
Question 2:
This may seem silly but I thought this prog was not yet released (still in beta) and I am getting shareware notices.. Even if I was ready to purchase the code I could not easily find directions indicating a) how much and b) how I would get rid of the pop-ups. Could anyone advise?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

[Q] Flashing RUU - Does this reset life timer?

Curious to know if flashing the original RUU for a device resets life timer (calls / usage).
Anyone know?
Ok thanks. Shame as I wanted to set it all up properly and then give as a present. Guessing there is no way to do this then - true factory reset that is?
How do you see life timer stats?
That's a good question! I just kind of assumed there would be one.
Surely there will be? I know the Nokia's require you input a string of numbers at the diallet screen to access this info.
I found a code ##786# that's supposed to work on HTC Evo and HTC Hero, but it doesn't work on Desire HD.
Doesn't work on the desire either. I'm very keen to learn whether or not there is such a code though.
Anyone?
In the market you can download an apps to view your call stats, call duration and etc... Not sure but you can try searching on call timer, or call stats...
Nope, still can't find anything for life timer ...

Cpu usage help.

Hey guys, i'm new here to S4 coming from S3.
I have a problem.
I used usage timelines to figure out what was draining my battery
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.als.usagetimelines&hl=en
and I found out that com.android.providers.security is eating some cpu.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Is it normal to eat around 5%?
Can i do something about it or not?
I'm on tw omega v9 rom and ktooonsez latest kernel.
Thanks.
I used a friend's S4 and i saw the same thing.
Can anyone answer me please?
Mine too but differs alittle !
i also am used to engage with DOWNLOADMANAGER service running in background taking pretty cpu and battery on -both- my phones
this always happens on boot or right after managing my files(rename cut paste etc...)
whats the relationship between file managing and DOWNLOADMANAGER service while being offline ? dose the process trigger the media scanning ? it keeps running for even hours till phone gets warm!
even i myself tested it so when i press he mediascan widget on desktop the same process DOWNLOADMANAGER comes up (not the mediascan process)!
i wonder if the phone has media scan precess at all or not?
(my phones both rooted:Xperia mini GB and Xperia go JB
my cpu monitoring app is usage-timeline
excuse my bad English )
Anybody experiencing this issue?!
nobody Answer?

Wakelock triggers

Hey guys,
As the title suggests - I'm enquiring about wakelock triggers (reported by WLD (Wakelock detector.))
As you can see, Facebook messenger has triggered my phone awake nearly 400 times in the space of my work day! I know Facebook and its messenger app has its reputation for being a battery hog, but there's no 'actual' wakelock in use!
Anyone know what's going on here? Anyone able to shed insight and or compare with their device?
With the second screenshot, you can see the difference between awake and screen on. I use aeroplane mode when I work, due to not having any signal at all - I just use WiFi.
Thanks in advance guys.
I'd look into something like naptime, power nap, greenify, so that you can basically shut it off when not in use, cause your system is definitely not sleeping.
Someone said there was a 'lite' facebook messenger app on xda, but I don't use it, so I don't know the name off the top of my head.
