Has anybody in Ireland been able to get the gingerbread ota update today for HTC Desire HD

When someone finally does get the update, could you download it, any make a copy of the update.zip then upgrade.

i bought DHD from vodafone and i unlocked it so i can use other Sim as-well. yesterday i called vodafone and they told me update it on air.i dont know why im not getting any updates. can someone plz tell me what i need to do so i can get this update...

hey mate... i´m with my friends.. and we are talking about gingerbread update via OTA... ETC ETC,,
you know if exists any rooted, de-odexed...etc... ROM of the official ruu 2.3.3 currently?
I staid browsing but only found ported roms from desire S...
it makes me think that still there aren´t....thx in advance!

Pretty sure the leaked 2.3.3 from HTC turned out to be the same as the official one.

Alredady updated to 2.3.3

Anybody's market got updated itself in india?

I have a Nexus S but it is i9020 and I have to rely on ROM developers for the updates. But most of them do update them weekly.

I have Nexus S i9023 rooted. On stock rom and Matrix Kernel V6.5. Market got updated to new version couple of days before. Best phone I ever had

But mine still in old market 2.3.6, i am in stock rom. I knw i can do by installing apk, but still?

m sticking to stock, no rooting nothing at all .. i did all the playing around with my motorola milestone n totally fcked it up .. sold it for 7 grand ..
i honestly dnt even c the reason to root or put custom roms cuz i can do everythin i want with my phone without messing with it ..

and no market update yet, not a big deal .. waiting for ice cream sandwich though ..

I've an i9020T. Why wait for the market update to be pushed when you can install it like any other app using the apk?

i have a i9020T. rooted using Carbon v1.0 + trinity TEUV kernel. All my gapps are updated and some are even inverted colors via updates from DEV. And guys if you haven't rooted and installed custom rom's u haven't felt the true power of a NEXUS phone. You should definitely try it out.

+1 to that. You guys are missing lot of fun without rooted phones. First I was so scared to root my phone considering the warranty. Once rooted never looked back.Now my phone rocks with MIUI and Voodoo sound. Pure awesomeness!!!

BTW, I found the new market update so terrible that I rooted my phone just to get rid of it.

But i didnt get any OTA update, I am in fully stock.

Rooted my Nexus S, the week I got it. Been flashing ROMs ever since. Every weekend is the time to test new ROMs . Currently on MV10.10 with KF1 Radio.

[Q] Problem to update to 2.3.4

Ok, I'm quite new to the forums and want to say hi first.
So here is my question.
I wanted to root my phone so I flashed it with UK generic 2.3.2 with flashtool and then rooted it with gingerbreak. And then updated to 2.3.3 ota. Now when I'm checking for the new 2.3.4 I can't find it.
Is there any problem that I live in a Nordic country? Or is it just that my carrier hasn't released it?

Cannot install 2.3.6 manually on my Nexus S!

Hi everyone,
I downloaded the 2.3.6 (latest one) update, followed all instructions and tried to install it. However, I get a "signature verification failed" message.
I bought this phone brand new from some guy on kijiji and currently using it on Rogers - with everything working perfectly fine (minus the annoying search bug) Here are my specs:
current version: 2.3.4
Baseband: I9020AUCKD1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-ge382d80
Build #: GRJ22
Please help!!!

Are you sure you are installing the update for the i9020a and not the one for the i9020t?

don't install 2.3.6. it breaks more than it fixes on our phones. (i9020a)

I just don't know why I haven't received a SINGLE OTA update till date. I am still stuck on 2.3.4. I didn't even receive one for the GRK39C 2.3.6 a few weeks ago. Any reason why?

I didn't receive the update either. Google cancelled it I believe because it broke USB tethering, which people use a lot more than voice search.
I'm just waiting for the Ice Cream Sandwich update
Couldn't care less about Gingerbread these days.

As stated, the update killed tethering, both USB and hotspot.
As for why you did not get it, the explanation is simple. When El'Goog push out an OTA, it does so to a set percentage of phones, as each day rolls by, they add more and more phones, untill over a week or two period of time, all phones get the update.
with the 2.3.6, the update got canceled before being released to all the phones, your phone just happened to be in the group that had not received it yet.
Now as to why the current one failed, the 2.3.6 that is listed in my sticky applies to ONLY the i9020T/i9023 and NOT the i9020a, so the signature will fail.
if you grab the OTA from the thread that is listing ALL ota's, it should apply, if you still get a signature failure, please state the ENTIRE message as it should indicate what fails the signature.

I got the update last night cause I'm using the i9020A and I'm currently on 2.3.4 ... it failed on me when I pressed install...

It is - none of the updates will change that.....flash CWM, flash su binary

2.3.6 that was released on the AT&T/GSM version was pulled several weeks ago. The rollout of the fixed 2.3.6 for that version of the Nexus S has started rolling out as well. There's not a tethering issue with the 2.3.6 that is rolling out to the T-Mobile version.

Has anyone noticed any differences between 2.3.4 and 2.3.6?
I mean in terms of speed, performance and stability.
Is the update really worth it?

Hello so i have coldfusionx13 ics installed on my blade. But i am getting problem with my screen also some gps trouble, i know its impossible to fix it. Cause i been tested tons of ROM but same problem. So i want to return it to the store.

not worth to update to official 2.3 u will be unrooted and it will be very difficult to root back instead use swedish snow.
i want more info like your country your carrier u have a european or chinese blade??

I got 2.3.5 now. Alwo i know exacly how to root it.
I still need to know if its tha right cause i will go to the sstore with it
