We've had 4 tornados across the state today that, on a scale that was supposed to be 1-10, all exceded 10. They were 12, 15, 17, and idk the other. There have been 5 deaths reported so far. The worst one that rated 17, went just south of my city, and just exited my county.

It did, but Tuscaloosa and Cullman have had major damage from the tornados that hit there. Thanks k0nane. Hope all goes well for your area as well.

They said that they had been using it for 3 years. Idk what it was called, but if it helps, i was watching ABC 33/40. I say that cause you might be able to find what that scale is on google if you are interested.

Title says it all. Will we ever see the 4G light or make the switch? We need to get what we pay for. The fact that sprint says they have 4g means nothing until we all have it. Any comments?

As of just a couple days ago, a 4g tower has been spotted in downtown Detroit near Wayne state university. It can be verified on sensorly.com. I've been scouring the web daily for 4g news and it looks like its finally making its way! Search "4g tower in Detroit " in Sprint Community forums for more details. Just wanted to say goodbye to the epic 4g. I recently traded my epic for a nexus s 4g, and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to say thanks to all the great devs that made the epic what it should have been out of the box. My decision was confirmed for me when my wife's LG Optimus s got an ota gingerbread update the other day! Before the epic! Crazy! For me its all nexus phones from now on. There will be some features that I miss from touchwiz, but for the performance and update trade off, I'd gladly go vanilla android. Thanks again for everyone who made the epic an awesome phone!

Pretty ****ty that my niece just got a new Android through METRO PCS (probably the worst provider in the U.S.), and she has Gingerbread. Glad I paid all of this money for something treated like a red headed step-phone.
Disgusted with Samsung beyond belief. What is taking so long to release this? It looks like they are working on it, but I don't understand what is taking so long. Not that I am available for an upgrade right now, but even if I were, there is nothing out there that I really want right now (QWERTY is something I really want).

That's what I did. I traded my epic straight up for a nexus. The Guy wanted a keyboard...I wanted an unlocked phone. Worked good all around. There's quite a few of us former epic users in the nexus forums. I got to say, its all its cracked up to be!

Still using my Epic as my main phone, but I used my sister's upgrade to get the Nexus. Just as a nerd toy. Got it for 30 dollars. It was so worth it oh my god, MIUI is amazing on that curved screen. It hasn't been thirty days yet and I was gonna trade it back for the Epic 4G Touch but the Best Buy website says there isn't any in stock in my area so I guess I'm stuck with my Nexus

30 dollars?! Damn, and that was a hell of a deal! I really would like to get my hands on one of those so I can get a true Miui and CM7 experience. I am too new to the Android scene. I have yet to have a phone with either of those ROMs but I assure I will get a chance on my ET4G

I'm wondering how long you guys think it will take for ICS to get ported to the Epic. I mean, realistically, it took us the better part of a year to get CM7 (and it's still only a release candidate). I'm pretty invested in this phone, having bought a car dock and game gripper for it. But it seems to be such an oddball in terms of development. My buddy's got a Fascinate, and seeing his 4.0 screenshots has been making me very jealous. Been thinking of trading in for a Nexus S or Evo Shift. Thoughts? And I hate to pimp, but if you've got either of those phones, and are looking for a Boost Mobile Epic, I'd consider a trade. PM me.
While it's on my mind, the aforementioned Fascinate guy stated that he gets 600k downstream on VZW when tethering, 1meg in good signal area. I've never even approached that...fastest I ever got was 200k, usually closer to 100k. Is this a difference in the radios between Galaxy models, or a symptom of VZW vs. Sprint?

You live in an area with crappy Sprint service. I get around 1-1.3 mbps on 3G. If I am tethering it will be on 4G though (4-6mbps).

It may be foolish but I want a google phone not a unreliable samsung phone. =P just my thoughts, least I know if android 5.0 is released my phone will receive it... all newer android versions are being developed on the OMAP processor.. so I'm getting it release date. Had an upgrade for almost a year now I've waited enough.

Nexus phones are nice but is it really worth it
Pretty soon there will be a gs3 and I'm pretty sure they are going to launch it over the world at once before September or maybe during September
I like my touch wiz I don't know about you and that's mainly why I'm going to stock with sammy

Our Playbook that came out on Wednesday shows two interesting things in the Calendar of upcoming things:
On the 12th of April, it's listed that Planogram materials (merchandise and advertising stuff) for a 4/15 launch will be arriving in stores. On the 15th, it lists that all POG materials need to be deployed by store opening.
The Playbook never mentions what is launching on the 15th, but they very conveniently slipped the dates in there without saying anything. Considering the galaxy nexus data storm contest ends on the 16th, its safe to say that the 15th can be confirmed as the release date for the galaxy nexus.

What is the verdict on the nexus? I too have been sitting on an upgrade.
But honestly, with all the great ICS devs here, I'm actually enjoying my Epic. Though I think the low ram and cpu are starting to show its age.

there is no real point, in getting it. the updates still have to go sprint sense its an cdma phone. so its still going to slow in getting updates. and big red's one hasnt gotten updated either. i would just wait for something better to come long.

I think it (well for me anyway) depends on the specs. If they're the same as the GNex on VZW, I'll more than likely pass. However, if they're slightly upgraded, then I may take a serious look at it. I too have had an upgrade for about 13 months now, so I'm just waiting on either the GNex or the SGSIII.

Just Saturdays I think, to replace the regular anime block. I wish they would have just moved the reg .anime block to Friday and have Toonami on Saturday because I like Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Durarara!!, and Cowboy Bebop to much =/ although Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z and Tom 3.0 make up for it.

Hope no one blew their fingers off. One kid actually did hurt himself over here.
No one I know did, thank goodness. I had a great time watching an amazing firework display on the beach. Hope everyone else enjoyed last night .

Me being the 8 year old retard that I was or am...
Pointed the firework right towards my stomach right as I was lighting it.
Nothing bad happened just bled for like 3 days.
P.S. I call that scar my MAN SCAR. Girls seem to think i'm more manly if I say that.
Had 2 double mortars where the second load exploded just out of the tube, the kids just laughed, You know your getting old when you say "better leave those alone" and they just laugh at you. Young and bulletproof!
