latest incrediblyreengineered rom.
I've tried to update it a few times to the newest version via market, but once it starts to install the new version it says the file is not digitally signed.
Ideas?
The version I have on my phone works, but is indeed an older version, and I'd like the new one.
Thanks.

Have you tried uninstalling the one that is on your phone first, rebooting, and trying to download the latest?
I'll try that again today and report back.
I have this issue too, but I have no option to uninstall. I am running the aura ROM 1.2.1.3

Edit : just checked. My phone is running the newest updated but im gonna try to unroot and reroot one more time even though I already tried and it could not unroot.
So I went to install the new update via stock recovery and it seemed to work. I go check system settings and its still showing 2.3.2 and not the newest one. I go to try and root and it says everything works and my phone is rooted. Thing is there is no super user app that appeared on my last droid 2. What's the issue?

Try it again and use the 1 click root for 2.3.20 from here http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-2-discussion/5321-2-3-20-1-click-root.html

It might be that you just lost the app and just need to get it off the Market.

Yeah, I saw it was rooted and just went to market and got Superuser app and installed, I have root. I don't know why it did not show the superuser app even thought it said the apk was transfered.
Mine did the same. After I rooted using the one click method, it said it was a sucess. Tried to use Root Explorer, and it said failed getting superuser permission. Checke my SD card, and there was no Superuser.apk there. I copied it to the SD card from the one click directory, and it was sucessful. When trying to use Titanium Backup, had trouble with Busybox. Titanium downloaded a new Busybox, and all is now well.

Been trying to solve it for hours!
I NEED my Android stylin' for school!
I press install, then it downloads, but doesn't say the app is installed / the app isn't installed. Help meh.
How do I fix this, so I can install apps?
--
Edit:
I tried CM7 again but this time, a little combination of two instructions.
Before, I couldn't fix the market problem, like anything I tried (clear cache, data in the manage applications settings) didn't work. And the uninstall updates wasn't visible. So today I tried again but with some different instructions, and this time it worked! So glad I can use CM7 on my phone, so awesome.
Are you using a stock ROM or a custom ROM?

I've been having this problem lately (on both Bandroid's ROM and rdannar's "diet" stock ROM) with the new marketplace.
Even on updates some apps will go through the whole process, and even act like they're downloading, then will still show up as needing an update.
This didn't help you, but you're not alone?
Rebooting (sometimes) helps.
Do you have the new market yet? I notices when my phone switched to the new one it took a few hours for it to get back to normal. Also, it mat not show its correct status in the market app and if you leave and go back it may say it is finnished.

This is crazy, I don't know why it's doing this, I can't even do gapps because the market won't install the apps.
Market
version 2.3.6
and their is no unistall updates button either. Mannn this is so frustrating.
Wait... are you installing Gapps after installing a ROM? Which ROM? Are you using 3g or wifi?

I have this same problem. I can't successfully install any app via the android Market. I tried clearing Market cache and data with no improvement. If I choose install an app, it looks like it downloads in the status bar, but doesn't actually list it as "Successfully Installed" as it normally would.
If I look in the Market's My Downloads it lists the app but says "Free" next to it instead of "Installed" or "Update". If I then try to install it I get "Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close.
I also rolled back the updates on my Android Market with no improvement in functionality.
I think the issue started when I went to Android 2.2.
I'm not clear on how to solve this problem.
Same problem! !!!!!!! Any solution??
unmount SD Card
A temporary fix would be unmounting the sd card and then installing the app. It happens on some roms..hope it fixes...works in my case.
I started this post because I can't post this in the actual (Android 4.0.1) (AOSP ICS ROM for HD2) NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich Beta6 thread because I have not created 10 post yet.
Issue: Updating Google+ in the market on Beta5 and Beta6 returns "Error: Package file was not signed correctly".
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If there a fix?
As for this ROM it is awesome. Aside from the Camera and in-call Bluetooth not working this ROM is ready to be a daily driver.
Who needs google+. Its beta, just wait my friend. Hf
Edit: its might preinstalled. Try to delete and reload it from market. You might need to use a root explorer
Sent from my HTC Pyramid (HD2 Leo)
I had this problem also, but after using root explorer to give permissions I removed google+ and redownloaded it
Thank You
Thank you gentlemen that worked perfectly, I had not even thought of it being a pre-installed app causing the issue. I was going to delete and re-install but couldn't delete it. Root Explorer is a life saver. Thanks again.
Unable to download paid apps
Hello all okay so I have another issue I ran into with Tytung's ICS ROM for the HD2.
When I go into the Marketplace I am able to download free apps and/or apps I have previously purchased but when I go to purchase a new app I get the error: "An error occurred. Please try again". I am able to purchase it online and it will send to the phone and download, I am able to purchase apps on my Motorola Defy running CM7, I have even tried wiping the the phone data & cache and wiping dalvic and re-installing but this still didn't work. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Hope you can help.

I tried that already using 3.1.5 and it had the same issue. Any other ideas? This is so frustrating. If I don't figure this out before tonight I will be preforming a Task 29 tonight and reinstalling.
ERGH! No Joy
SOOOO!!! I preformed a task 29 and reinstalled the Tytung ICS ROM Beta 6 and I am still unable to download paid apps from the market on my HTC HD2. I have no other ideas except to wait for the next update. If you can help it would be appreciated.
I am still with Beta 5 and did a clean install with Task29 and so on and everything is working. Had problems with the market in Beta 4 and Beta 3 but beside the known bugs there are no great pitfalls in beta 5 for me. You may try Beta 7 which is out by now.

Stuck in ICS splash screen
Hi Guys,
I've got a different issue. I installed the NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich Beta7. but it doesnt go past the ICS splash screen. Left it running a few times for half an hour with different settings.
Got:
- MaGLDR v 1.13
- Radio: Radio+Leo+2.15.50.14
- CWM Recovery v3.0.0.5 (tried both 400m and 250m)
- Kernel: NexusHD2-Kernel_2.6.32.15_tytung_ICS_Beta6-MAGLDR-update
Did factory resets, did Task 29, several wipes and reboots etc.
Really not gettig what im doing wrong. Any ideas?
Try 5/220 then run the app2sd zip for more memory.

Recently I've noticed that when my phone boots there is always a notification for a Voice Mail message but there is never one there when I dial into T-Mobile. Anyone else seeing this issue, or know a fix?
Auto rebooted one time per day on an average on my handset.

Anyone else have the problem that facebook sits in the background consuming anywhere from a constant 25 to 45% CPU?
I noticed this by accident in system tuner pro task manager, I'm killing it manually for now but yeah seems like another facebook ICS issue.

I rooted my defy and using Titanium backup I stupidly deleted the Gtalk app thinking it was safe , and now i get a gapps.com error on bootup, but worse the Market now longer works! I have the gtalk.apk which I downloaded from here but because my defy is on 2.1 it has no app installer, so I need a way to get AppInstaller from somewhere other than the market. We do have a spare samsung phone running 2.2 (GT-15500) that does have the app installer but because its not yet rooted I cant move it to SD!Any ideas where I can download the app installer from?
Cheers

Google it. And make sure next time you start playing with your phone as root, do make a backup.
Sorted it now. I put a stock 2.2.2 ROM on it with RDSLite software, andf re-rooted it. Works fine now.
With any ROM I try to use or any Root method I try to use with the ENG kernel, everytime I grant Flashfire root and it'll go through its start up "enumerating partitions" and all of that, once it gets to the end "Checking for Pro" the app force closes and i have tried everything to fix it NOTHING works, Google the issue didn't help either, anyone know why this is happening?

Yeah same problem, it's a bug with the latest flashfire. Try an older version from apkmirror.
I have the same problem but i solved it by set date time of phone 1-1-2018. It will work.

Okay then this confirms something I redd yesterday, in the newer version of flashfire there was an update which "increased the time bomb for the free pro features to 4/1/18" so I'm guessing if you used the free load feature, the app becomes unusable after that time?

I just got my phone root and was having the same issue, I went to the app on the play store and someone was saying the app was discontinued. The only people with pro can use it now. Not sure how true it is tho.

I tried that and it still crashed, reboot tried it again, same result. :crying:
Flashfire pro works as it doesn't have the time bomb
The app is not discontinued. Chainfire is just taking a break from development, so he hasn't released any updates in awhile. Either buy the pro verision, or go into system settings and change the date to something before 4/1/18, then try FlashFire again. You may need to reboot after changing the system date.
setting older date works
samsung g935a user. installed latest flashfire from store, reset date to 2017 date, rebooted phone and then flashfire works.
