Minicm vs floyo 015..,which better? - XPERIA X8 General

Sent from my X8 using XDA App

Minicm. For sure.
Rom with no bugs, work flawless, everything works, no sd card safe to remove bug etc..
Sent from my X8 using Tapatalk

I had read before in the some forums...,someone say minicm decrease the color screen of x8 and floyo more faster in perfomance..,and so many people brick his phone where they try to custom minicm...
Sent from my X8 using XDA App

if you wanna get functional things use minicm, but floyo much smoother even less functionality(camera, video record) after i compare it

Floyo its modification from high end rom froyo phone with can record hd videos...and that why x8 cant handle its.,its about camera hardware, not same with minicm.,that why i say minicm decrease colors screen x8..coz its modification from rom froyo phone with 262.144 colors..,and x8 have 16 billion ....
Sent from my X8 using XDA App

got it now...poor on me didn't know all X8 systemics yet LoL ...

The rom does not choose the number of colours that the device has, that must be kernel related. Stop talking nonsense. And MiniCM is the best because it's complete, while as racht's floyo was left in the dust by him... maybe he'll finish something, like the gingerbread rom.

ok, a little suggestion, if u want ppl's opinions, why not share yours rom so everybody can use it.

MiniCM
Sent from my X8 using XDA App

in my opinion... MiniCM, floyo has been discontinued long time ago

i did have mini cm but im back on stock rom now, TBH i didn't see any speed increase or any increase in battery life i can get the same ish look just by installing launcher pro from my sd card, only thing it really gives you is app2sd which i can live without. if i had to pick it would be minicm ^^

best custom rom

i am looking for a custom rom for my sgs2 but dont know witch one feeds my needs. looking for one close to the original one but with lots of tweaks en add ons in it like battery mod and extended menus. whay do you guys suggest?
Try cognition 1.5 it's quite close to stock with lot of additions like advanced power menu and tweaks. Definitely a rom to try.
Don't listen to them, just stick to samsung firmware... all custom rom are not stable and they release just for market testing.

Yes serious bro, not stable enough... i try many of them.
1) slow in viewing photo and internet.
2) battery usage not stable
3) will not be able to do multi application

Try DarkyRom2, very close to stock without any unecessary tweaks. Running perfect without any issue and great battery life with Speedmod kernel t27

never had any of them troubles with leomar perhaps you have been trying the wrong roms mate
leomar is stable , has great battery life , can be customised greatly via themes/mods/patches as one wishes via his application , offers great support ive dontated 3 times his support is so good and is generally an amazing piece of work where he listens to users and trys to offer what they want
i have tried a few others but just found leomar to be a great dev and his rom to be top notch stuff
check it out
thumbs up for LeoMar Revolution ROM.
he is also one of the most helpful and active devs here.
Thx will try some of those and see wat is best for me

Leomar Revolution is the best rom I've used.
stable, A LOT of themes, very easy to use configuration app
im use criskelo v14 on my sgs2 and for me its the best rom
litening v5 with ninpheta 2,0,5 rock steady...
no problems what so ever.
nice and long battery life, fast browser
nice launcher coming with it.
no wipe rom it is simply a nice and stable rom
Thank LitePRO
I sense the problem you have may be in fact user error rather than the ROM being unstable. Which ROMs did you try that weren't able to "do multi application"?

[Discussion] Features Wanted for SpartaMOD [Based on my 2.3.7 AOSP]

The next update of the ROM will be based on FreeXperia Sources 100%
Which should fix tethering and most other things
I love my X10 and there is a bond with other X10'ers here
I wanted to start modding my AOSP into something that I want to call SpartaMOD
I had prepared for this some time ago ...
The ROM will be added on ROM Manager (HTC Desire HD section )
I only have the guts of asking because I now have a lot more knowledge as I created my App "God Mode" based on OMFGB
what would you want in this ?
Be very specific and the advantages of having it
I can't include MIUI Lockscreens , xLoud , etc (I'm not TripNRaver)
Please be careful This MOD will be spread to very many devices
Plans for now are :-
ARC , Neo and X10
HTC desire s and desire HD

1. combination of launcher will be great.
SE 2.3.3 floating overview, SE home, Go style application drawer with animations and build in task killer.
2. CM theme chooser
3. Must have apps pre-installed

New Android Market
Titanium Backup (free)
Facebook inside Xperia (perhaps )
On the T.E.A.M Rom they have appman which I believe is good for putting add-ons onto your rom without having them pre-installed or having them downloaded from the thread.
Thought of joining FreeXperia Team, spaarc?
You'll make a great addition, i think you should take my name "prodigy" cos you really are one, 15 yrs and first to port 2.3.7 about 4 days after release, remarkable achievement!

so MANY miui

omg what is this?? I go to vibrant dev section and all i see are like 800 roms of miui...
Can someone explain how they differ? I understand some do, such as neobuddy's new rom because of the massive tweaks and mods, but the others? Theres a miui stock, miui.us, miui 360 ... what is this?!?!?
There's only 3? Lol
The Stock MIUI is like stock CM7,
The MIUI 360 and that other one by Neosomething are almost the same, they have similar tweaks.
Because it's so customizeable an there are more CM7's I think

Hmm how many 2.2 roms are there.....how many Ginger ,2.3 roms are out there....in my opinion miui is taking off nicely...
Although miui is 2.3 its not at all like Ginger or any other filmware out there
Its a whole different animal
i'd say the 4 MIUI roms under the same thread has the most support ...
and i got my working GPS using their rom. great work
i was in CM7 too but i just love MIUI for its customisation
On the MIUI discussion. Has there yet been a MIUI published that has an App Drawer built in, or has the capabilities of using one? I tried MIUI a while back but could not get past it not having an App Drawer. I know I move the apps to a folder and have the folder docked but this does not work quite the way I want it to, that and I have over 130 apps, and this takes a long time to move them to a folder. To be honest it is the only thing holding me back from using MIUI again.

Last time I tried, a couple of months ago,I had issues using any other launcher. I was using stock MIUI. If we are able to use additional launchers, I may have to give MIUI another try.
Oh and GOLauncher is what I use with CWM right now. Best Launcher I have found so far.
For one yes you can use any launcher you want and have an app drawer and second there is an alternative app drawer in android developement forum and the market.

Market launchers certainly work fine with MIUI ROMs.... Plus, if anything, you can just make a folder for all of your apps, set it to "arrange alphabetically" and just put all of your apps in that folder.

thinking of trying a different rom. Been using bionix. Would you suggest if MIUI is a good rom to move to? Hows the battery life?
Miui is faster and smoother, battery life isn't quite as good as a 2.2 rom but it's getting better. It's defiantly good enough for a daily driver.

ok, no miui app drawer. if you have 130 apps then i would suggest you sort them by use/function in folders. ie. Social/Tools/Games/etc.
other then the miui.us version all the roms you see are themed variants with additional apps/build.prop tweaks. most are setup by Nick and his team.
i usually just download stock miui, and rip the build.prop out of nicks rom edit it to suit my needs, strip out the crap apps i don't ever use zip and install.
