[BUG] Vibrant exits silent mode when ending or rejecting calls - Vibrant General

I'm running Bionix-v 1.3.1, and whenever I miss a call, hang up a call, or reject a call, my phone will get out of silent/vibrate mode immediately after. It's amazingly frustrating, and extraordinarily consistent for a bug: I can reproduce it unfailingly. This started happening to me on the first Bionix-v after I started using the stock lockscreen with the slide, and I figured it was a bug that would be fixed if I updated to 1.3.1. The bug is still there though, and it makes it so that I have to put my phone in airplane mode in classes for fear of it going off.
Anyone else having this problem or have a solution?

Vibration mode automatically switches to ring

I'm on Hyperdroid v2 cyanogenmod 7
Whenever I put my phone to vibrate only mode, if I call anybody or receive a call the vibration mode changes to ringtone mode.
I have checked this with another hd2 on hyperdroid v2, and another htc legend with cyanogenmod stable 7, same issue everywhere.
Do anybody have any fix for this.. suffering badly for the same, office means vibrate only to me. Any options which I can switch on to cure this. Will highly appreciate any help.

Ringtone auto silent

Hey guys this is i think actually a feature, not really a bug but it's bothering me a lot.
The problem : When someone calls the phone would ring, but if i pickup the phone and turn it screen down, it silents the phone. The line is still connected but it silents the phone. This is a problem for me as sometimes i carry the phone in the bag.
Is there a way to disable this?
Using crisklo rom gingerbred
On stock GB rom, you go into settings-motion and you have an option to disable it.

Yeah, it's a feature, and a good one, I say! As noted, you can turn it off.
I like it because if I forget to set my phone to silent for a meeting I can just flip it over to shut it up when it rings. It's also oddly satisfying to turn the contact picture of an unwanted caller down to the table .

Is someone else also facing this issue?
New Nexus 4 Silent mode issue
Hi,
Even I got a brand new Nexus 4 very recently as a birthday gift from my sister who stays in USA. I stay in India and even I am facing the same issue.
PROBLEM: The phone automatically toggles between ringer and silent mode when making calls.
Say if I've put the phone in silent mode, on making a call it will go to ringer mode and if im on ringer mode, making a call will get me to silent mode.
PS: Did you find any solution? It really gets annoying during meetings as you said.
Also if i reboot the phone this issue gets fixed for some time but again it starts happening.
I have already done a full factory reset twice. Nothing seems to be working for me. I know it's a software bug but it's a new device.
Any solutions??? Plss... Or did your problem get resolved? How if it did...
Sadly No solution to this problem.. But now a days trend has reversed fro me .. if i have it in vibrator mode and change it to ringer it chnages back to vibrator on its own.. this is frustating
Facing the same man... It's not a new problem... we are facing the same issue...
As I mentioned... if its on ringer it goes to vibrate and if its on vibrate it goes to ringer... But if you reboot it gets fine for some time.... then starts happening again...
Let me know if you find a solution. Otherwise have you experienced any screen Freezing during Incoming calls (Unable to pick up) and all? I'm facing that too...
what about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248866
Avg is the culprit according to that forum but.. I need to test it out.. tahnks anyways
AVG SUCKS! - It's the reason for all this chaos
AVG is the cause... Thanks a lot. It never occured to me that what was installed to protect my phone was the reason to corrupt its software.
Uninstalled it and now its perfectly fine. Love my Nexus 4.

Urgent help with galaxy s4

Hey guys this thing thats been happening to me is absulotely mind boggling and if anyone can resolve this it would be greatly appreciated. it bugs me like theres no tomorrow.
so heres the issue.
i have a samsung galaxy s4 with all the latest updates provided Android Version 4.2.2
when im travelling along in the car or even randomly seated i would receive a call or even make a call and place my phone on loudspeaker now the funny thing here is that the phone after maybe 10-20 seconds will automatically switch back to normal speaker and it annoys me so i have to put it back on loudspeaker mode
ive had the occasional scene where it still showed that loudspeaker was activated but the caller was coming through the normal speaker so it forces me to tap loudspeaker to de-activate it and then tap it again to activate only to realise not long after it automatically switched back to the normal speaker all over again.
NOTE: the phone is laying flat on my lap or standing infront of me.
has anyone had this issue before and is there some sort of fix for it
PLEASE HELPPP !!!

Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
So I definitely checked to see if driving mode was on or not and I tried it still same issue so my next question how do I do the ota update what necessary
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
So I have found that the only way I can get the loudspeaker to stay on is too keep the screen on after a few fiddling here in there I need to know how to force screen on when it on loudspeaker

LolliPop Removed Silent Mode??

So I went back to stock NK2 yesterday to try the OTA 5.0 update for a little. I noticed silent mode is gone. You used to be able to silence everything EXCEPT your alarm but now it will silence even your alarm which is scary. I don't want to have to worry about remembering to make sure my phone volume is up in order for my alarm to go off. I googled this and found other people talking about it also. For now I am going to Odin back to NI2 but I was wondering if there was a workaround or fix for this because I want to try some 5.0 ROMs but not if this isn't resolved.
It's not gone. They changed it to Interruptions under Sounds & Notifications. You have to set up what to allow through when the phone is in the different sound modes.
There are three sound modes. Sound, silent (vibrate), and mute. Using the volume key all the way down is silent mode. My alarm works fine in silent mode. One more press on volume down puts the phone in mute. A pop up appears stating that the alarm will not work in mute. If you use the sound toggle to switch to silent then mute it does not give you this warning.

Yea I saw the new options and they are pretty pointless. I am going to have to avoid lollipop until they bring that feature back. From what I've been seeing online there is a lot of people complaining so I hope they will.
I just don't wanna have to worry which setting my phone is on for my alarm to work. I'm back on KitKat now and it's nice to never have to worry. My phone can be on full volume, vibrate or all the way silent and my alarm will always go off.

It is definitely a problem. Hopefully it gets addressed in a future update. Confusing part is that in the Interruptions menu it says alarms always are a priority, yet using the volume keys it states that alarms are silenced. Major oversight IMO.

Yea I'm sticking with KitKat until its fixed..honestly with touchwiz there isn't much of a difference or a point to go to 5.0
Some days o really miss my S3 and unlocked boot loader. So many more options with ROMs. Even my original droid x and galaxy s4 had more of a dev community
