[req] miui rom 1.2.11

Hi
Tried this MIUI ROM on my Desire HD and is kinda getting to like it.
Therefore I was wondering if anyone is up to the challenge porting this for the 32A? and 32B off course, but thats not in my interest
It's not Iphone at all, as I always beleived. It's quite cool and good a lot of benefits. But most important. Its superfast. Equalant to the CM7, which I also tried.
So, what do you say? Anyone into this?
PS: I know the Q has been asked before, but those I found didnt get any response. So I put new life into this

[Q] HTC Wildfire S

I have just seen some wildfire s movies and the point is:
it's runneing gingerbread and it has a flip clock.
My question is: If the htc wildfire s has nearly the same things as the normal wildfire.
Can we (if the wildfire s is released) port gingerbread from the s version to ours.
Or will there be an update with the new sense and gingerbread.
Please could someone that know something about it say something to me, please.
And my second question is: Can someone already put the new sense in a rom.
I hope someone really know something about it.

It is not nearly the same. It is totally different. And, to get the new Sense, the code has to be released by HTC. Till that, there wont be a GB Sense Enabled ROM for the Wildfire.
Also, I am pretty sure with the release of the S, HTC will not conveniently forget the original Wildfire and probably not release any updates for it. Its basically an EOL Product now. Its the way the industry works.
After some monthes on the market every mobile phone is EOL. You are right!

If you really want gingerbread on wildfire, you can try Cyanogen 7. There is no htc sense with cyanogen though.
Just for the new sense

I know but I want the new sense xD
Its more like the aria or gratia (what is the point of that - considering the wildfire s is better) or legend or salsa than the wildfire (they are all the same phone in a different box with a different rom)

CM 7
I'm using cm 7 right now.
It is very nice, but I've send a mail to HTC.
Hope they will answer.
I really like gingerbread, but I just want the new sense ( without buying a newer phone ).
So if I got mail about it.
Will you see it on this topic

Can we (if the wildfire s is released) port gingerbread from the s version to ours. -HVGA vs QVGA.... lots of resizing and xml, program modifying. And devs are not really interested
Or will there be an update with the new sense and gingerbread. - Not really with a spray of impossible
Please could someone that know something about it say something to me, please.
And my second question is: Can someone already put the new sense in a rom.
-I have not seen Sense 3.0 on a QVGA device, so low porting chances.
I hope someone really know something about it.

Hello people,
I'm using cm 7 right now.
This is a question to alex, I think that you know more about it.
So is it possible to port htc sense to cm7.
And so yes:How can I do it on my own.
So please answer.
edit ment normal sense.
It is possible to get the Gingerbread update but no way it would get the new Sense.

No it's not possible to port anything HTC to an AOSP ROM, there is a theme though which makes it look like HTC Sense!
why not

Why not.
I mean can not one app ported to a aosp rom?
Simply because HTC apps require a framework that AOSP ROMS do not have as it is power consuming and is slow.

Sadly the HTC framework is not compatible with AOSP ROMS at the ROMS have to support it. Your english is fine, don't worry!

As djdevine2 stated above, porting Sense would be very hard or even impossible. Sense is like a bug that crawls really deep inside the Android OS. Eliminating is it hard, I imagine introducing it would be also very, very hard.
And not to mention the possible Legal issues that could appear
maybe there is hope
It has also been rumored that the HTC Wildfire will receive the recently released 2.3 Gingerbread update.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Wildfire
This is just a rumor, but there is still hope.
Doesn't look so. If you look at the citation on that particular line, and, read that thread in another forum, there is nothing there to state that HTC has said anything about 2.3 on Wildfire. It is simply a speculative thread, and, points to CM7 for 2.3 on Wildfire.
"You can have your doubts about when your phone maker will finally get around to delivering an Android 2.3 update (March if you're with HTC, June if Samsung, 2017 if you're unfortunate enough to own a Sony Ericsson), but the smartphone dev community doesn't work that slowly. The guys who build custom ROMs just for the sheer pride of it have already begun work on delivering Gingerbread to owners of HTC's EVO 4G, Droid Eris, and Wildfire."

Im a newbie, but...from what i've heard on the topic i posted, it's CM7. i didn't know what it was, so i asked and it is:

i googled what AOSP was and it stands for Android Open Source Project.
I'm thinking of switching to it myself, because i've seen alot of nice things comming out of it, so in my opinion it's best.
look on the forums and if you see something like CyanogenMod - look into it.
check the thread in my signature
As much as cm7 is popular the thing I don't like is that Rom manager is included with it, but doesn't work on the hd2. I may be mistaken about that, but I never did get it to work. I prefer gingerbread look and lower screen density on my phone and use hyperdroid. It all up to what each person likes I suppose.
It's all a matter of personal opinion man. Try them all out for a day or 2 and determine which one you like the best.

Best all round & simple SD rom

Hi all, I have not been around here for a while due to commitments but I'm back now and wondering what is the best and most stable ROM around at the moment?
I'm using a m-deejay rom at the moment on my HD2 but I have allways had some problems with the GPS and the 3G connection dropping.
Could someone recommend a ROM with the features working and pretty easy to run from my SD card?
Many thanks in advance

First of all, ALL roms posted here are great and it is very difficult to decide which one is best. It totally depends on one's taste and requirements. But if you ask for my fav ROM then it's AmericanAndroid's SD ROM.
Thanks very much for the replies guys!
I'm just testing out american droid now. Can't find the andriod market place on there though

Just look for the answers in the ROM thread, you will get everything there
Enjoy your HD2!!!
I have tried. RAFDROID. DESIRE HD and AmericanDroid.. i found AmericanDroid the smoothest.
I like the Sense UI but Rafdroid and Desire Hd are laggy at times while running..
i like to know which is the most smooth Sense UI SD ROM.

[Q] Fully functioning Gingerbread + Sense NAND?

Hi all,
I have looked over the forum extensively for a NAND based Sense ROM running Gingerbread, and they all have the same graphical errors and broken camcorder issues. Am I correct in thinking there is no single fully working one?
Thanks.
You are correct in thinking so, however I assume it won't take long before they get fixed.

correct there isnt one until a combination of desire gingerbread source is released along with a new kernel
To tell you the truth i am sick of Sense 3 Roms that have those glitches, low ram, no camcorder e.t.c! I mean i Love the work of the devs/chiefs but i can't wait to have a Sense 3 Rom working!
So i modified my HyperDroid Gingerbread Rom with CyanogenMod7 to look like sense 3 (lockscreen, Sense theme with icons, e.t.c) You can find it in my signature!
Now, i do not want to flash another Rom. It's been 1 week already to flash a new Rom even though i am addicted to flashing!
I just want a fully functional Rom with better battery life! So this is by far the best Rom to customize and the battery life is even great! (About 3 days with normal use on 2.15.50.02 Radio)

Sorry missed your post end first time . As for your Rom it does look rather nice but I'm a bit of a Sense nerd and really enjoy using it (hence my hunt for the perfect Sense ROM). To be honest I don't see why chefs are so intent on putting 3.0 features in it; I have used a Desire S running stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread which uses "only" Sense 2.1 and I love it, and surely stability would be better if it was all 2.1 based?
