Ive transfered mp3 video files over to my XDA II but media player wont play them why? Is there a file size limit?
I have transferred audio mp3 over with no problem
well maybe windows mediaplayer dont like the bit pr secund rate of those mp3's ms dont really like mp3 and like to push their own format which is wma
i would try winampaq or some other free player and see if it play more nicely otherwise try different bitrates or maybe another codec
in cdex you can choose between a few mp3 encoders
Video MP3 file? I don't think so....
Windows Media Player will play wma, mp3 for audio and wmv and avi (possibly others too) for video, the bitrates and resolution size you use are important for quality of picture and quality of playback.
Use Windows Media Encoder for a nice little batch of tools, if you use Windows XP, then you can also use the windows movie maker which can export movies straight to pocketpc format.
Cheerio
if he mean video and in mpg and not mp3 then
pockettv and pocketmvp are pretty good mpg players
I've searched and searched the web for any player which will play .m4b audio files from itunes but searches were fruitless.
TCPMP is my favourite player although it doesn't support progressive jpeg - I like the embedded pictures in the audiobook and want to also keep the bookmark feature of .m4b. When i try to play the files with TCPMP it doesn't even play properly.
I want to play my audio books on my phone instead of having to carry around the old ipod.
does anyone know if there is such a player or project in the works to enable full itunes compatibility?
I've been searching for a great video player for the TMO TP2 but some don't do it for me. Is there a way to set the installed video player that plays the Youtube to play all video including streaming. It might not have all codes to handle every media type but maybe there is a hack or cab to solve this waste of a great player.
Yea i love that player too. the only way i can watch the movies on my media card with that player is by going into the media album and when i open a video from there it uses the youtube player. would love to watch streaming videos with it as well.
How do I get to the other video player? Everytime I open a video file it opens with wmp. Ive been searching for a free good video player to play all my files.

you may try Core player, its really great player which plays almost every format
where can i find it and is it for free?
I use youTubePlay, it's free and found on xda-developers. You can also save youtube clips into FLV format as well as MP3.
you-tube play is really awesome but why it doesn't play the flv files i got from my computer? it plays the flv files that it download it only
Look for TCPMP it's similiar media player to CorePlayer, its free, and with a .flv video codec you can play flv video files.
TCPMP could be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387
and for the plugin go here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tcpmpflvplugin/
Download the plugin and put .plg files to /(or Storage Card)/Program Files/TCPMP/ folder.
loving my streak ive just come to put an avi file on it and it wont play ... from reports the streak will play any format ??
is this not true or do i need to download something for an avi file to play
You will need rock player to play avi's.
Hi mancuk29
No idea where you have seen it reported the Streak will play any video file as the built in player plays limited amount of formats Divx and Avi's not being in the list. But as zero.fx has already pointed out Rock Player is a great player that plays most formats and is free with ads or not that expensive for the no add version but make sure you get the v7 version that supports the Streak best. As long as the files are well encoded it should play virtually anything you throw at it in great quality.

see also vplayer, plays my avi just fine & is free from market (prob someone has uploaded apk on here somewhere)
& no, i don't have any association with vplayer developer in anyway!!
