Kernel not changing or showing up - G2 and Desire Z General

I tried installing a Kernel for my G2 on MIUI 1.4.1
The Kernel was SavagedZen 2.00 CFS , I also tried the pershoot kernel for Gingerbread but the problem is that every time I install it and go into settings -> about phone; the kernel information doesnt change it stays the same for both kernel installations
What am I doing wrong and how can I install the Savaged kernel properly? Thank You

I can't say that I've heard of that particular kernel for the G2/DZ (a quick Google search reveals that this is a EVO kernel).
Try to do more research and investigation before you start flashing. Not doing so could mean a bricked device.

[Q] How to implement Rafpigna 1.9 OC GB Kernel into your rom of choice?

Is it possible to edit the meta-inf files to tell a rom to use Rafpigna 1.9 OC GB kernel in say Hyperdroid cm7 2.1.0 tytung r10 rom? Like take the files from the standalone kernel and integrate them into a rom to allow for it to work correctly? Given the kernel is compatible with the rom. The reason why I'm thinking about doing this is, because I can't get the rom to boot with any rafpigna kernels. They all hang on boot.
THANKS
I too have problems flashing Rafpigna's kernels
I've tried raf's latest kernel on Hyperdroid, Typhoon & MIUI ROMS all with the same results, on reboot, hangs on providers splash screen (o2 in my case).
I've tried flashing via ROM Manager, CWM & using fastboot commands (Clk for Dummies).
Help please

For the moment. I found the perfect combo. Hyperdroid 2.0.1 android 2.3.3 w/ rafpigna's 1.8 oc nosense. Working Perfectly!

Amazing kernel with good battery drain

I am using Typhoon CM7 ROM, 3.7.6. The original kernel is Tytung14. It is good but not many options (like CPU governer) to play with. Later, I played with Dorimanx kernel for several versions. Version 3.3 is good. After that, 3.4 to 3.9 was unstable and not suitable for daily use. However, the 4.0 is good and fast again.
Recently, I noticed a kernel created by Seadersn. The version I found was seader_R9, which is the original kernel of Hyperdroid ROM AGAIN. The hyperdroid used another 2.6.35 line in the previous version but switched back to seader kernel in the latest ROM. I flashed the seadersn kernel to use with the Typhoon ROM. I must say it is really stable and battery saving. I know it is an old kernel but I like its efficiency and stability.

Cannot overclock higher than 2.26GHz?

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005.
I installed a custom recovery and rom 2 days ago, first rom being phronesis 2.0 rom.
From there I tried overclocking my device but all apps show me 2.26ghz is the max my device can go, apps used include: kernal auditor, setcpu, trickster mod and no frills cpu control.
I searched the forums a bit and so I thought flashing a new kernel would help. I flashed Arter97s kernel and it still didn't allow me to overclock higher than 2.26 ghz, then I tried audax's kernel with no luck.
Then today I moved on to Tesla 5.1.1 Rom, and I still cannot overclock higher
I yet again reflashed arter97s kernel and still I am having no luck.
Any help?
Thanks

This is the limitation of the kernel. It provides the frequencies it supports, so you need a kernel with OC support. I do not OC, so sorry, no clue which to take which even is allowed to talk about here. ShinTo was supporting it AFAIK, but they had to leave due to not providing the source and thus violating the GPL.

I am able to overclock my 9005 up to 2.7GHz with mentioned apps. I am not sure which kernal I am using. I have Phronesis 5.0 on and am getting ready to flash 5.2. The only shlep is that I need to set the frequency after each reboot. I wish this could be included in a kernal.
Try using leankernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488082 I had same kind of problem then I flashed this and used kernel auditor. Now everything works perfectly!
Can't Flash Kernel on note 3 sm-n900
I have been looking for solution at multiple sites. Hope to get answer here. I have downloaded a stock rom lollipop for my note 3 sm-n900.
I was successful at overclocking it to 2.1ghz but i want it to be at 2.7ghz and the current kernel does not support it.
I tried flashing three different kernels lk-hltemo 6..., lk-hlte v6 and lk-hlteu 6... using CWM and TWRP but kernel didn't flash.
