The Sprint employee "mykey" on Sprints Community Forums has all but called the knowledgable and hard working devs here liars concerning the CDMA kernal. Being an employee means nothing when it comes to information. I myself am a sprint employee. Sadly many of our customers have more information than what we are privvied. We are usually made aware of upcoming changes about 1 to 2 weeks before they actually go into effect, and most of which has already been leaked or confirmed online prior to it ever hitting us.

I will be the first to admit that I had some reservations about following advice on this forum. However when I had a problem with my hero (see this thread) I spent an hour on the phone with sprints "advanced tech support" and they couldnt figure it out. I put the thread up and 40 minutes later the first post that replied nailed the problem right off the bat.
I learned my lesson, post here first and then if no one here can help, might as well get a new phone.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I work with everything now, not just phones. I'm tired of speaking to (no offense)people in countries such as India that I can barely understand, and to top off the matter, don't really no what I'm talking about.

As an employee, I can honestly say, even during some of my calls, I refer to this forum for answers. xda for android and ppcgeeks for winmo is pretty much biblical when it comes for hard facts, knowledge, and know how. I just had to say that. I don't post much, but I've been able to a lot of tough questions based on the answers found here.
I can't stand Sprint's forums. They are about as fair and balanced as Fox news.

I would say November for the US is a bit optimistic, aren't they still rolling out the last update to users still?
I can't see them still rolling JI6 AND 2.2 at practically the same time
Even if its true, that spells bad news for samsung because WP7 will be out soon and folks will jump ship. But this move could be intentional by tmo so they can boost the MyTouch 4G sales upon release. You never know. But frankly I am pissed off by the wait. Samsung needs to step in and do something about this.
What everyone needs to realize is that T-Mobile US and T-Mobile UK are technically different companies with different phones and different networks. They just have the same name. Whatever happens with T-Mobile UK doesn't matter for T-Mobile US.
I'm willing to bet that we don't even have 2.2 before the December rollout of 3.0

as well as applied to every development program and testing thing they had, if you are like me and will more than likely return the device no matter how nice it is if we or they dont come up with a solution before the 30 day return period i encourage you to do the same. I do ask though you appeal to a pleasant tone and leave the brute force method for the dev attempt to fix the problem
I think this is a good step, but I don't believe motorola will listen to people on their forums. When they decided to use signed/encrypted bootloaders, they were no doubt aware that some people would get angry and complain. That post was expected and as such probably won't make too many waves.
What if it wasn't just a single post? What if we got as many members as possible to post on Motorolas forum with their thoughts on the signed bootloaders? Good or bad idea?

sort of... basically my number in last post are hugely glorified truth is they are right that people that care about bootloader are minority compared to over all sales that being said they wont notice if simply didn't purchase there device, would it hurt them yes, but over all they prob dont need us to survive, but how ever if we were to purchase than return they would have to take notice as to why 15% of pre ordered devices got returned with in the 30 day period

Um, if that is the case Motorola is marketing to a small amount of people.You also have to consider that when I say high level techs i'm talking about those that frequent a forum such as this and others. There are not many of us compared to the general consumer population. Hence forth you get the statement where if you are looking to mod you should look elsewhere. You have to realize that we (the high level techs) represent a small fragment of the general public.
Polls here show that the vast majority of owners do not find the Note faulty. However, there are threads here which seem in denial of these polls and are still claiming that the Note is faulty. Thank goodness for the polls so that we know that these faulty claims are not supported by the vast majority of owners.

There are many ways of claiming something is faulty without saying it explicitly such as thread titles like "WI-FI Issues", "Screen Issues" etc which are easily spotted.

You guys might be getting all the duds from a single batch from a single seller or single batch directly from Samsung. I feel and see now that most people don't have any issues which is the most logical thing. But this forum only had negative posts.
I think the poll helped me decide to buy the phone. while all the other threads discouraged me from it. That's not normal. So I took the plunge.

Thanks to your poll we know the vast majority of owners are not experiencing the faults suggested by the loads of complaints on this forum. It won't stop loads more complaints but at least owners and prospective buyers now know that the complaints do not represent the experience of the vast majority of owners.

Forums generally attract people who are looking for solutions to problems they are experiencing. That is why you see a higher number of complaints. Arguing with people who have had issues is extremely counterproductive and only leads to contention. Ignore the poster who don't post according to your own desires.
