after upgrading my spl 1.04 in htc hermes (i mate jasjam) to spl 2.1 then install wm 6.1 the wifi is not working.
I can't turn on WiFi. When I touch in switch it do not on. I already made several hard resets and this does not result.
when i go to WiFi setting i see nothing in mac address field but i have my mac address
can i put in my mobile.
pleas i need my wireless any one Help!!!!!???

I have a HTC tytn with the last rom and bootloader 1.09 (I had the portuguese rom with bootloader 1.04). The problem I'm having has also in the portuguese rom .. I try to connect to a wireless connection that is wep /open with a PEAP certificate! I can successful connect, put my user and password then about 20seg my connection friezes and only a soft reset and restore the wireless connection again!!!!!!!!
I have the certificate installed, I have connection/internet in that 20seg then I don't know how just friezes up!
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Well I upgraded to DCD 3.2.4 and 3.42.50 radio rom. For some reason now I cannot get a connection through WiFi , it gives me errors such as: Cannot obtain a server assigned IP address. Try again later or enter and ip address in network settings. It also says it cannot connect to the network at times.
I am on the Verizon Wireless network. Thank you in advance for your help.
Also , how do you completely remove the program it does not want to come out of my programs list.
please post in the appropriate ROM thread, so in your case is DCD ROM thread,.
for a better check, install ORIGINAL ROM, if you still have the problem, then consider for warranty return,.

after I bricked and unbricked my Device (i don´t know how... it bricked by flashing the dumped original ROM) i have the problem, that the device doesn´t find any Wireless Network. I can activate it in the CommManager and the symbol in the Taskbar is seen, but no networks even if i add my network manually. I´ve tried some other Roms but the problem is still there.
Is this a known defect or bug or any idea ?

Model-NR: ELF0100
ROM- Version: 1.15.162.1 GER (VODAP102) --> the original Vodafone WM6 Rom
Radio-ROM: 03.34.90 (I´ve tried 03.39.90)
IPL: 3.14.0002

Use 3.10 IPL.
It gives better results.
Try other ROMs, i know some roms cant detect Wireless.
Have you tried onyx?
Install the language pack.
One more thing, go to settings, connections, wifi and click on search for networks, instead of using comm manager.

now i´ve tried onyx ultimate and the original WM6 with IPL 3.1, 2.26 but its the same problem with all roms. It doesn´t find Wifi Networks... can it be, that the Wifi chip crashed/died by all the flashing and the brick ?

I installed MDJ android froyo build 4.3 and everything was working well.
i had to enter ip address for a certain network at work, everything got messed up, so i removed the ip address enteries i made (use static ip) and still needs ip for connecting, i also checked DLNA auto ip and nothing changed!!
keeps trying to connect (giving me obtaining ip address) and disconnects, doesn't want to connect.
i tried reinstalling android again but keeps giving me this damn problem!!!! i think there r some files not deleted
i tried connecting on WM, i found out that it doesn't connect also
what to do for that ****, really annoyed about that!!
TMOUS HD2 on stock Rom 2.10 and radio 2.08, WM 6.5 and recently installed android MDJ 4.3

You may need to enter correct APN settings and or change your DNS settings as well. Check my sig and thumbnail for more help.

i've a big problem here, i can't connect to my home router.
router got wep encryption 64 bit, hd2 with stock rom wm 6.5 ( 5.2.21869 ), rom versio 1.66.408.1 ( 76641 ) ITA, radio version 2.15.50.14, protocol version 15.42.50.11u, hspl 2.08.
i think is an os or radio or hspl error, because when i boot into android i can connect to the router, but not in wm 6.5.
can someone help me resolving this problem?

Do you use MAC address filter in your router?
Probably the WiMo 6.5 and the ANDROID Wifi MAC-Addresses are different and only the ANDROID MAC-address is entered to the router's MAC filter and is allowed to get internet access by the MAC-Filter.

i think that was something inerent to android, cause this problem come showing when i had installed it. before i had no problem.

Did you put in the right APN settings in android?
And are you sure your the setting on your wifi channel is right. Meaning is it on the right channel? E.g. 8, 20, 11
If you're not sure, factory resetting the router might restore it to the compatible channel.
the apn is right... is the same as wm 6.5 ( i get it from my provider assistence ).
the router is on channel 6. i think that couldn't be an error in router configuration and also an apn error cause wifi in android works and 3g in wm 6.5 also.
wm 6.5 cna't connect to any router ( i've tried in 8 different router) maybe an hspl error?

Mmm, you can try reinstalling the radio. Might fix wifi. If that doesn't work, I still recommend hard resetting the router.
But are you sure your apn settings are right? If it works in winmo, then more than likely it's the apn settings in android that is wrong. But I'm not sure. You can try search up your carrier's apn settings, and try those.
