[Q] Help! Connectivity Issue - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I saw "ROM Manager" had an update in the market. The HD2 was previously not listed as a supported device, but now was in the list for supported devices. After running a backup for my current ROM and flashing new current CWM (through ROM Manager), I no longer can access the internet/market etc. If I connect to wifi it works fine. It even looks like its communicating in 3g or H (4g) because it lights up green. I have tried everything....
1. obviously checked settings
2. flashed new ROM
3. reflashed magldr
4. flashed radio 2.15.50.14
5. swapped sim cards
Still got nothing. Phone seems to be functioning fine in every other aspect just no connection through 3g or 4g. HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!
Any suggestions? Love this phone and this is driving me crazy!!!

I kow you said you checked your settings, but did you check your APN settings?

Yes... double checked that. It looked fine. Compared to other phones in the house and still nothing. Hmmmmm?

I guess I was to tired last night and just took for granted that you were using cLK and not MAGLDR. So are you using cLK as your bootloadef and not MAGLDR? Right now ROM Manager only works with cLK. So if you are using MAGLDR you will need to reflash CWM, I actually suggest you run Task 29 then flash MAGLDR again then CWM then your ROM via CWM and do a restore from your backup before you boot the ROM up and all will be good again.

Genius! Thank you!!!!!

[Q] [Solved] Data freeze reset

Alright I've searched and really thought I'd come up with something, but nobody seems to have this exact problem. Everything works perfectly as long as I'm on wifi, but as soon as I hit tmous data, it'll freeze for a sec, then reboot, followed by a few consecutive battery pulls. I'm doing a radio re-flash, but anyone have any idea of why it's doing this only on data?
Edit** Re-flashing radio did nothing
Okay this is an easy fix.
1. Run a task 29 and wipe your phone clean
2. Flash the official T-Mobile Stock ROM(this upgrades your radio to the newest 2.15)
3. Flash MAGLDR 1.12
4. Flash the DFT WP7 for HD2 rom
5. Download and run htc connection setup. Make sure you select US as well as tmobile for region and carrier(respectiveley)
This should auto configure your apn and other network settings
If you want the manual data:
Apn--epc.tmobile.com
Username--none
Password--none
Note-Actually type none for username and password
If you are getting restarts turn airplane mode on, enter the apn settings, disable 3g, turn airplane mode off, and enable 3g
Hope this was useful to you and others who have this problem
If I helped please hit the thanks button!
Ok so I thought this worked, but it's actually still doing the same thing. Everything works perfectly, until I use data. So weird... Is anyone else having this issue? Also, it takes like 5-10 boots to get it fired up.
Would the SD card be causing my data to crash the phone? It just doesn't seem logical to me, but I'm no expert. Using Sandisk 4gb class4 card btw
*Edit* If anyone else is having this problem, try playing with radios. I just downgraded from 2.15.50.14 to 2.10.50.28_2 and it seems to be solved. Data works fine now without crashes.
Why was it so strict when we followed the first instruction that we had to use radio 2.15. It is great that other radio's work as I have issues with data and signal with 2.15 as well.

[Q] 2.3.4 Wireless problem on NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.7_NAND

Hi,
I've been searching for a solution to my problem for several days now but couldn't find anything.
This is the spec for my device:
HSPL: 2.08
Radio: Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14
Bootloader: MAGLDR 1.13
Recovery: ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.2.4
I was using NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.6_NAND_(Android-2.3.3) rom from this page without any issues. I decided to update to NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.8 (2.3.4), no errors with update. After that, I realised that my internet connection was gone. I can see that it is connected to APN (H or 3G logo visible) but no connection. I tried to connect to wi-fi after that, but this time it is stuck saying 'turning on...' on wireless screen. I have tried updating to V2.9 (2.3.5) today but no joy. Same problems. Everything else seems to work fine. I read that there was a wireless related change after 2.3.4 but couldn't find anything related to this problem.
EDIT: I've also tried downgrading the radio to 2.14.50.02, still the same.
I'd really apreciate if someone can help me.
can you try a clean installation,i mean task 29,flash radio, flash mgldr, cwr partition, flash the rom. for instance i had market problem with tyween's typhoon rom and clean installation solved it
Thanks mate, that worked perfectly. For me the order was like this : task 29, flash radio, flash mgldr, flash ClockworkMod Recovery, flash the rom.

[Q]Random reboots blue screen

Hi,
With (almost) all of the roms i install i get random reboots.
And not a hot reboot but full reboot. And when it passes the GO GO GO screen it gives for 1 sec a blue screen and then continues 'normal'.
I use mag, and i always reflash CWM for the correct sizes.
I also tried "fix premissions" but that did not fix the problem
Note i have this problem on 99% of the roms.
i just flashed the new hyperdroid 5.5.2 and have noticed a blue sceen, yet mine only only shows for a fraction of a second, and with VERY seldom reboots (random) i marked it up to something changed in the rom but it did worry me a little as ive never seen it in any roms before.
i know this doesnt answer your question .... youre not alone.
Have you tried reinstalling mag and cwm?
I also know theres task29 which i believe clears everything except the boot loader
i havent because as i said it happens maybe once since update.
im sure task 29 is the cleanest easiest way to "format" nand
What version of the hd2 do u have?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
My HD2 also has these random reboot issues. I get the hot rebooted though, not the full. On reboots. At this point I am hoping that it is not hardware related. I will try flashing everything again. I have heard that task29 is unreliable. Thoughts?
Hi,
It's not rom related. I have also this issue and my phone was in service. It is hardware related problem and comes only some mobile carriers and roaming.
For me only thing witch stops ramdom reboots are selecting network operator in manual.
settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network operators -> in list you select your operator.
I hope this helps.

[Q] No mobile internet with cLK

I tried using cLK this morning in combination with several ROMS, but I cannot seem to get the mobile internet working.
ROMS tested:
- MIUI (official) with Tytung r14 kernel
- Mwakious Nightmare (cLK version)
- Dorimanx ROM
Everything works fine, but it just doesn't seem to fire up the mobile internet connection at all. I know cLK works with PPP, but could it be, that my phone operator doesn't support this somehow? The APN settings are in order and I even deleted the APN and manually added it again. It just doesn't connect.
Is there a reasonable explenation for this? MAGLDR does not give any problem at all.
Thanks in advance.
Wow...nobody?
Lack of response is usually because no one else is seeing the issue you're reporting. Did you also post this issue in the cLK thread?
Have you tried either of the following?
1. Reboot the phone after changing the APN settings.
2. Turn off the radio (go to airplane more) and turn it on again.
Data disconnect with cLK is a well known phenomena (seems to be both hardware and operator dependent).

I did, and then I started to doubt myself if I was asking the question in the right section of the forum , so I posted it here as wel.
In regards to your tricks, unfortunately that didn't work. Though I thank you for your response. I'll try again this weekend, as I am using this phone for work as well ;-)

I m using hyperdroid v6 rom with clk1.4, recovery 4 and having no data issues till yet
Though ppp is unstable in nature and data drops happen...yet most of the times it works
I had issues when i used radio 2.15 or 2.14 or any other radio..... it was only radio 2.12 which made mobile internet quite usable
So i suggest that u must try radio 2.12 with clk... if it doesn't work...try the latest hyperdroid build... hopefully ur data issues might get solved
If u hav TMOUS HD2, use radio 2.07.50 and for EU HD2 usec2.12.50

[Q] Just flashed my nexus 4 with Paranoid Android and problems ensued

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020336 This is where i got all the zip which i flashed (radio, bootloader, PA ROM, and GApps)
So there are two problems I have noticed after flashing my nexus with paranoid android.
The biggest one is that my phone cannot get any cellular service. The phone just shows No Service, and when i tried to set mobile network manually it told me to insert sim and restart while already having a sim card in the phone. I tried removing and inserting it again to no avail.
The second one is that I can't use my camera, it opens the app for like half a second then it shows "Can't connect to camera" and quit abruptly.
Everything works just fine when I flashed the backup stock ROM, including the mobile data and camera
Are there known solutions to these problems?

Same here... can't get SIMcard working and camera is indeed showing "Can't connect to camera"
I'm on cwm recovery
using PA3.99 downloaded from http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/mako/pa_mako-3.99-RC2-20130920.zip
and gapps downloaded from http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps/pa_gapps-full-4.3-20131024-signed.zip
I had PA on my (now sold) I9000, I like PA to feel @home on my brand new Nexus 4
so, any hints would be welcome... :fingers-crossed:
