We all know that some of the color looks washed when we watch in a diff angle , also the head on looks sometimes may not look great since BE2 is not applied all time .
not sure if this works as I dont have a rooted phone ( dont plan to root till 4.2 ) can anyone test this on their rooted phone and post results and reviews please?

awaiting positive results

This app is incompatible with your SingTel Sony C6603. Sadly.

Try screen adjuster. Does not require root.
Tried it. It doesn't work. Gives an error everyone you try run it

It won't work more than likely because it is based on the Nexus 4 hardware.

No error on mine(stock rom). However not really good at adjusting the screen color.
Adjusted as per image. Picture shown the with and without.

If you just want to deal with the view angle problem, set the system brightness higher (80% or higher), and set the brightness of the screen adjuster to 50%~70%, nothing else. Then the view angle will be amazing, but you will also find very little blue tint when displaying white color

Wow, call it placebo or whatnot, but it seems as though it helps to some extent! (maybe it's just me) O_O!

Anybody else think the Notification LED is very weak? It is almost impossible to see it blink on sunny days.
On my S3, there was a customization on the ROM that allowed the LED to light up completely, instead of fading. It made it much more strong. Anybody knows if there is such a MOD for i9505?
Well in 9500 there's the options to change led brightness thanks to andreilux

Hello,
I read that the S5 screen can go pretty bright, but only in certain situations and it's not controllable by the user.
Is there a hack that can allow me to set the screen brightness to be at its true max?
Thanks

the only way you can set a screen to max is by using auto-brightness. The note 3 had that max brightness but only using stock auto-brightness. I dont think there is way to mod that as the screen has a protection in order to prevent overheating
isn't it already bright enough at 600+nits?
its the brightest phone that exists

It is only that bright in direct sunlight. Normal max brightness is 351 nits. I believe it's 698 nits in direct sunlight. I believe OP is asking if there is a way to make it stay closer to the 698, via software hack.
To answer your question, even if it is the brightest phone out there, it still sucks in sunlight. In my honest opinion.

You might see if this Note II hack works for you. I have no idea if it will and it's possible it may simply brick you.

Search on Youtube "Hacking max brightness into AOSP for Samsung Galaxy Note 3"
and download the apps to hack your maximum brightness I dont know for sure if its working on S5 but on my S4 GT-I9506 (snapdragon800) makes a huge difference The GT-I9506 has a bit brighter screen in addition to the classic S4 around 5-10% and the classic S4 GT-I9505 can hit 475nits with autobrightness in direct sunlight so maybe my phone hits more than 500nits but I dont care about nits because the phone is really very bright!
Hello
Using ktoonsec kernen on XtreStolite ROM. Sometimes when i unlock the brightness is just extreme bright for a second and then is adjusting itself.
Any ideas whats causing this ? Some build.prop tweaks? There shouldnt be anyone. I tried with the stock kernel but got the same results.

Do other XtreStolite users have this issue too, better look/post a question in that forum for a better chance of a fix.

Nice haha. Also Samsung browser dark mode? Only thing i have is the mclaren wallpaper rest pure black with substratum. Also status bar is immersive via system ui tuner in the internet Browser (had burn in the Icons on m s9+ after 1,5 years xD)
My phone is always on dark mode too and I've never seen it, actually never paid attention to it.
