i'm getting an error when i try to install it.
model number: SPH-M910
firmware version 2.1-update-1
baseband version- S:M910.05 S.DF27
kernel version 2.6.29
build number- SPH-M910 ECLAIR.DI06
hardware version: M910.05
that's all that currently listed.
any advice as to what to do?
Root using epic exploit, install flash_image gui, install CM01 recovery, back up all partitions, install DL05 stockrom. You will be on 2.2 with no root and stock recovery. You can go through all of that again to regain root.
I also need some help
my vm intercept is rooted and i have a custom recovery when i try to update to 2.2 i get a status 7 message how can i update?

If you're VM intercept gets a status 7, it means you didn't have one of the following:
1. Stock 2.1 VM ROM
2. Stock Recovery
3. Stock Kernel
First question I would have is... Did you ever go to Sprint's 2.2 (with or without the baseband modification)? If you did and your baseband is NOT modified, you have to drop back to VM's 2.1. If you currently have VM 2.1, You should still have the DI06 baseband then follow these isntructions:
http://forum.sdx-developers.com/intercept-development-2-2/vm-froyo-official-update-zip/
If you have the Sprint's DL05 baseband because you updated to Sprint's 2.2 with the baseband modification, then stay on Sprint's 2.2 then follow this:
http://forum.sdx-developers.com/intercept-development-2-2/virgin-mobile-froyo-2-2-stock-system-and-kernel-dump/
my baseband says S:M910.05.S.DF27
im on vm 2.1 and i use to be on sprint 2.2 i have stock recovery and my kernel is 2.6.29 sdx devs is down "Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later."
can anybody help me out?!?!?
S.D.X. Developeres site shoudnt be down Ive been on it all day.

2. Called tech support and they told me to take the battery out and then the sim

My question is do i have to go back to stock rom to get the network back or is there something else i can try....
information on this subject is sketchy, when i do a google search ...any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance
It probably was a bad flash sounds like some of your system files did'nt compile correctly. Odin back to stockand reflash. I always have flash problems when going past 2.2.1 almost always have to odin back thats why I stick with Froyo a bit mre stable when hopping roms.

Same issue here...(although I think I have a red lens defy).
Here are the specs of my phone:
System version: Moto_version.2.51.1.MB525.Retail.en.GB
Model number: MB525
Firmware version: 2.1-update
Baseband version: EPU93ST2_U_03.0A.01
Kernel version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
BPflex version: UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA030.0R
APflex version: GAS_EMEA_UCAJORDANRTEU_P048
Build number: JRDNEM_U3_2.51.1
A clue can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212
Q: I can't flash from recovery, I get an sdcard mount error.
A: It seems to be related with phone's who are using version 2.51. To solve, try to flash any recent SBF file. If you want to do a nandroid first, check if SD Recovery works for you.

So the SDcard problem seems to originate from the version. The solution which has been provided is to flash any recent SBF file. This is where I am stuck at present.
1)What SBF file is recommendable?
2) is it really required to do take a nandroid image?
Perhaps something to mention: I am working without phone SIM and with a 2 GB Kingston SD card.
Flash a froyo ROM, root and instal 2nt init. Best a non blur ROM (then you don't have to register)
If you don't want to go to eclair (void warranty, official upgrade for your country) you don't have use nand. Nordic is a good choose.

Hi,
thanks for the reply, greatly appreciated. No, I don't want to go back to eclair, since I do not have any warranty anymore....
Where can the ROMs be obtained? I stumbled onto the website as provided by Moto defy a beginners guide (grrr, I cannot provide URL's here) where a whole list of SBFs are given.
However, Nordic seems to be a Gingerbread SBF? Which one to pick in order to get CM working?
Thanks! TY
Problem has been solved.
I updated the phone with Motorola update manager to version 2.2.1.
After the update, the installation of CM worked perfect.
Regards, TY
Hey guys can someone please give me some advice on what to do with my phone please....
Sprint
Model # - SPH-L720
Android Version: KitKat 4.4.2
Kernel Version: [email protected] #1
Build# - Negalite-WondeROM-NAE-r6
I rooted and installed this rom a few months back, im getting inconsistent service! i barely get data service in places i should be getting. i updated my PRL, Profile, and Firmware but still no change. i called sprint and they said you need to update the PRL but i already did that but they dont see it on their system that i did, maybe its because im rooted with a custom rom.
if anyone knows what to do or which rom i should install. please any help would be great. thank you

Hi, everytime I try to update I get this message.
your device as been modified. Software updates are not available.
I had a wile back rooted this Samsung S4, so im guessing is the knox sotware that is doing this.
I heard that we can force the update using Odin, Just dont know how.
Can it be done?
If any one can please help would be appreciated.
Samsung S4

This is the international S4 forum. Everything you need to know can be found at the link above. But to answer your question, yes, the update can be applied using Odin.

This title appeared coz you rooted your device. You will have to download, unzip and flash the same firmware that you are using (HERE) via ODIN for receive future updates via OTA.
Phone:
SM-G900V
Android 5.0
Baseband G900VVRU1BOC4
Kernel 3.4
Build BOC4 also
Hi, Ive had my Verizon GS5 for about a year now, and I just installed 5.0 Lolipop, and I hate it.. I want to root my phone and go back to KitKat.. Ive been reading through the forum and all the guides seem to be for BAC4 or something else.. I don't see anything that is explaining what to do for BOC4..
The one guide I was looking at was this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-downgrade-lollipop-5-0-to-kitkat-t3088571
Where someone in post #3 asks if it will work for BOC4, and it was stated to NCG retail stock instead of step 1.. If I download that instead of step 1, is everything else in the guide exactly the same? Im semi lost.. Im pretty noob to this, though I did root my GS3 which I found pretty easy to do..
Also if this is the wrong guide or if there is an easier guide to follow can someone link me to the steps I need?
I also read somewhere else about d/l superuser 1st? And it will not trip the knox counter?
Also do I need to backup all my phone settings and stuff before I start this whole process? And how do I go about that?
Thanks
**Edit: Is there also a way to backup all my setting like handcent and stuff so that I don't have to reconfigure all my font settings and colors and backrounds and so on?
Ok so I backup up my phone with Samsung kies, just hoping someone can point me to the proper guide to go from 5.0 BOC4 to Rooted Kit Kat
Thanks
Ok sorry for multiple replies here.. But Ive seemed to get myself now onto
Android : 4.4.2
Baseband: G900VVRU1ANCG
Build: KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANCG
I haven't gotten any feedback here so far, but maybe from this point someone can tell me how to root and get to 4.44 from here???
Please and thanks
you could try this thread for what you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784880
sorry if i can't remember which firmware after NCG leads to 4.4.4
Thanks for the reply.. I am really lost at the moment..
So after I got my phone to this point:
Android : 4.4.2
Baseband: G900VVRU1ANCG
Build: KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANCG
I then d/l towelroot and made it rain. It seemed to work.. From there I then flashed (I think) the NI2 Firmware only kenrnel.tar file..
*EDIT
So now my phone says
Android: 4.4.2
Baseband :G900VVRU1ANI2
Build: KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANCG
Is this right? My baseband is NI2 and Build is NCG???? Im lost?
I then downloaded a root checker from the play store and ran it, and it said my phone was rooted.. I finally now was able to run SuperSu Pro, and it asked about updating binaries, and i clicked "normal", it then asked me the Knox detect, and I said disable..
So how do I get to 4.4.4 from here? And Im assuming im fully rooted?
I can see that nobody wants to help a noob at this, but it would really be great if someone can tell me where to go from here?
Please and Thanks
