Miui + Touchwiz Music Player - Vibrant General

So how many of you guys are using MIUI?
I just recently started using this rom and its great, EXCEPT for the music player. The Touchwiz player with the Voodoo Kernel sounded amazing. The Miui Music player isn't as great. Does anyone know how to put the touchwiz player onto miui?

As far as I know you can't put the tw music player on anything that doesn't have the tw framework.

Volume Rocker Music Controls

Are there any other custom roms with volume rocker music controls other than Cyanogen? More specifically, any sense-based roms?
When I was using Ruby it had this feature. Great for the gym or if you use you phone for music in the car.
I wish more ROMs had this

wanted to bump this and see if there are more now, since this thread is months old. i'll add skyraider to the list. anyone else have other suggestions? thanks!
I also have been looking. I am currently using miui and they have tons of useful features but not that. I even looked for apps with that specific feature with no luck.
I use power amp but i would go back to stock music player if I could find an app that uses the volume buttons to skip ahead.

Jermaine's stock plus has it. Running it now and it's rock solid.

Mcsense has it. It is a rock solid gingersense rom. So does mctwist...I think.

Nexus S vs SGS4G

I had a SGS4G and wow this screen on the Nexus S 4G is much better...
But my question is why? Are they not the same technology from reading the spec on paper they are but from using the Nexus by far beats the SGS4G ...
As to the name of the topic I guess it would be cool to see past owners of the SGS4G talk about the different things the notice or what not here in this thread.

im pretty sure what most previous sgs owners DON'T miss is touchwiz.
I don't miss touchwiz launcher but I do miss music, camera app and the video and audio codecs that are tied into the touchwiz framework

I agree I disliked how touch wizard try to make things look like iPhone ... Aside from that the only con is the lost of codecs but I'm sure will get them soon...

If we could get the MIUI Music Player and camera app, that could replace those easily
(but the MIUI camera app doesn't support front cam )

Latest miui player

So I've been searching for the latest miui player that will work on my phone. Came across one labled v3 and installed it and disliked it.
Anyone recommend or point me to one that's newer or atleast better with album art. I used one before that was black and purple and had a black widget. Idk where I came from.

Here is (What I think to be) the latest MIUI Music.
That one was themed for my Nebula theme. I like it.
But here is another one that is just blacked out. Courtesy of MysteryEmotionz.
Also both of these can be found using the search tool.
If there is some newer version I don't know about please let me know.

Best "Multimedia Use" ROM?

So, my Galaxy Nexus should be here Friday or Saturday and I'd like to retire my Nexus One. I'd like to possibly just use it for songs and such.
Curious to hear opinions on the best ROM strictly for that use (would just keep it in airplane mode or delete a bunch of stuff with RootExplorer)...

Try a GB based MIUI rom. It has a great music player IMHO, along with some other great features. Version 2.3.30 is the latest (and final) GB version for the Nexus One. Get it from miui.us or miuiandroid.com. Or download from the N1 Dev forum e.g. QND version.
Hope this helps
Btw, I used to dismiss miui, and could never warm to its launcher. However install MIUI Black Ice theme (ICS lookalike) and Go Launcher and away you go.

Try this Beats Audio
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604957
Very smooth and for more powerful install Sd booster and inncrease the speed

For pure multimedia use, flash miui. It is really focussed towards that. For more media&social, flash hypersense nova.
When I eventually upgrade I would probably use a CM7 GB rom with stuff I don't need removed myself. I use PowerAMP so I already own a better than normal media player.
Flash hypersense nova just like race55 said...its fast and stable..beats,bravia engine included

[q] Music quality in Sense Builds vs. AOSP/AOKP/CM9?

So lately I've been alternating a lot between Gingerbread with Sense and Ics with AOKP. Apart from the obvious performance ICS has over GB&Sense, the Sense builds excel in one thing and that's music sound quality. It's not even the Beats audio thing because even in builds with no Beats, the sound quality in Sense builds is SO much better, it's really annoying to use ICS. The music isn't just bass-less, but even high tones sound crackled and bad under the same speakers/headphones they sound REALLY good at on Sense builds.
What causes this? Could this be the infamous Bravia engine I've seen touted about on the forum?
If so, is it portable to ICS?
If not, is there any solution for the poor music quality under ICS?

I've notice the same thing. with Ics rom when its loud sounds like the music its damaged. With GB plays great

This is true.
Now Im using ICS ROM. Playing music with PowerAmp and the quality is great. Player has many settings to improve the music quality.
you also could try flashing beats audio from the android market.

Tried flashing Beats Audio, never could get it to work.
As for the other replies - are you guys suggesting this is the player app's fault rather than the actual kernel?

For me dsp manager with some settings(i don't remember, i'm on sense 3.5) works fine but i agree with you that sense roms are the best in audio (loud and great bass)
