hi all! i was wondering is there anyway to re-odex a deodexed file?
and im sure someone will say: deodex your system and framework... but im not going to do it so NO and why? because i used every deodexing software like xUltimate, rom kitchens and it wont deodex... i deodexed one file for 12h and decided to stop.... so plz dont say deodex your rom
p.s i know that theres a tool to do it, but i cant find it...

no i cant use it... it wont install cygwin to my computer
I just tried the htc kitchen. But it ist only working with .zip and .img files. Or did I just took the worng point in the menu? I want to take JPM as base and its a .tar file. how can i convert it?

guys i have been looking around and trying out new things on my galaxy 3 ....
already rooted it,changed boot animation etc etc but now iam keen to try out a custom rom ......and there are many options available for our phone but the best looking rom i found was miui rom...
my question to devs
is it possible to make a miui rom for our phone??
or
is it possible to tweak a rom to make it look completely like miui ??

That would require a port. And porting is not easy.

a new version of miui rom came for galaxy s using odin we can adapt it to our phone

Yes. We need the recovery first. Then we can create Odin flashable files. Else when we edit it, the files will get corrupted.

Take the framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk from/system/framework/from any froyo rom (JPM,etc...) And replace that

How can I extract those files from I5800XXJPF?
I have 4 files : CSC, PHONE, BOOTLOADER and PDA.

Seems I'm having some troubles running and finding a good mod for my Apollo 5801.
I use Kyrillos 7, but seems my phone is hanging all the time when it reboots.
Could you please tell me
- what ROM do you use
- what version?
- what are the pro?
- what are the con? (what functions do NOT work?)
- how is speed?
- how is memory management?

kyrillos is good for me so far~
Im using stock jpd overclocked to 1400mhz with g3mod extreme and rooted. Its very quick

Kyrillos is most popular. I'm usiong v7.0. Try flashing a different kernel such as G3Mod Ultimate v1.5.
Your phone may not like the fugumod kernel for some reason so flash G3 mod since its one of the most popular and your phone should run smoother.
Im using Kyrillos rom v7 with G3 Mod 1.5.1 Ultimate kernel. It working like a charm, smooth like womans legs and fast like a rocket.

1. Which g3mod1.5.2 i shud go for?? extreme/ultimate/battery performance. etc..
2. is it essential to do setcpu after flashing kernel? cant i use normally just after flashing?

none go for 1.5.1 or 1.5.0 for the moments 1.5.2 has decreased voltage which gives freezes

First, flash Kyrillos ROM, then do a partition with CWM (if You want), then flash a kernel.

- how to flash kernel? the download is only a ZImage? How can I import this? (that's why i tried in the K7 zip package

You can use v5.0 or v5.0 tar files to flash.
If you want to try system.img there are guides. Just search it.
I am in the process of trying to port Flyme 2.0.2 to my device, as I do not own a MX, but like the software. I have a flashable that I have deodexed with dsixda's kitchen, it is for the MX2 and completely unchanged other than deodexing. If anyone(someone who has the ability and knowledge to flash roms) out there is willing and able to flash it, please pm me. Again I only want to see if the kitchen deodexed properly and I have a good working base. This is not anything special, just deodexed. And yes I have looked through the files and all the odex files are gone, but as I understand it, that is not the only thing that has to be done.
Why would someone flash this? its like flashing a Galaxy S3 rom on a Galaxy S2.. Atleast edit build.prop and switch kernel and the libs from a ROM that is working on the MX

Are you kidding? I made the statement, I believe twice, It is a stock rom for the MX2, I only deodexed it. The port for my S3 has yet to begin, Once I am sure it is a valid deodexed ROM for the MX2, at that point I will try to port it.
