I recently bought the HTC Magic and I am very satisfied with the sync it does with the Google apps, which is really seamless.
What I would really like though is being able to call numbers directly from calendar entries. I have names of clients, followed by their numbers as calendar entries.. Does anyone know if there is any way I could do that? Is there an app maybe out there that could do that?
Can anyone point me to a developer who could maybe program that?
So far the only solution I have found is to ask Google to sent me an SMS reminder with my appointment. The SMS is clickable and the telephone numbers inside the SMS are callable as well. But I don't want to be doing that, since I am making a lot of calls everyday.

I have just taken in my hand my new Topaz and have already a question.
I have succesfully installed and tested Skype on my phone and it works! Now, looking on the available fields in the contacts, I've found the IM, IM2 and IM3 fields. AFAIK these are the Instant Messenger ids, so theoretically i could put in the skype ids, or not!?
The first question is: how can I tell the system that my first (second or third) IM program is skype?
Focus on skype, what is the id to put in the IM field? Is it only the user id or the whole user name?
And then ...? It would be great to have in TF3D a "IM" icon, in order to activate skype (or another installed IM tool). I filled the IM fields with skype user ids, but in TF3D there is no IM contact. Can I set the phone to show IM contacts and activate the installed IM program? .. I hope so!

I have found a annoying bug in my HEROs call application:
Actually I maintain all my contact with google mail contact so my hero sync them. There are many contact which are only company numbers, so I use only the company field not the name field to identify them. Google contacts manages that well, also the phone book application of my hero shows that correctly.
But if I want to use call apps fast dial it will not find the contact. So I have to search all contacts over phone book. Thats okay, but the call app also shows this contact as anonymous in history...
Can someone tell me a good way to submit this bug to htc?

EDIT: My HERO runs with MoDaCo 2.2 Custom ROM but it also appears in stock rom...
Hi guys, running HTC Magic with cyanogenmod 6.0.0 here.
I have all my contacts phone numbers stored as like 0-41-11-12345, where the "41" is my carrier number so I can make long distance calls when out of town (no need to edit the contact). However I get all SMS messages identified as 0-11-12345 (no carrier number) so the phone does not "link" that sender with my actual contact... I have to search through all my contacts every time I get a new SMS (to see who sent me the message) because I can only see the source number.
Any ideas on how to solve that?
