How do I raise the speaker volume? Is there an app? A hack? Etc.... Ringing volume is too low.
There is an app called dsp manager available on xda (or through cm7) and an equalizer app available free on the market that can do the same thing that allows you to raise the volume just a bit by adjusting everything up. Results may vary.

My g2 has very low notification volume (its maxed under settings, but when the phone is in my pocket, I can never hear it). It's a problem because with the phone's weak vibration and lack of volume, I keep missing notifications. Is there any way I can increase the sound using a program or something?
Thanks.

CM rom has DPS manager it increase your speaker volume

Yesterday someone mentioned an app called "volume boost" if not using CM. Worth a try if it's free eh.
I'm currently using Virtuous ROM and I would like to stick to that since I like Sense UI (so CM is not an option )
Volume boost appears to be for headphones, and not the phone speakers.
Any ideas?

Yep, same problem. I'm hoping there is a fix even if it requires rooting. Otherwise I'll have to go back to froyo. All sound levels including phone calls have a reduced volume.
They are app in market that make volume founder work on DROIDX 2.3.3 it is volume + I hope that's helps

The only difference in volume I've found is with BT headset (stereo). The new GB DX switches Media Volume to 5/15 when BT headset is connected, regardless of what it was set to prior. Very annoying.
There's a dsp manager in the apex 2.0 beta. You can change volume settings with that
All the sound booster software I've seen in the marketplace, none seem to have the ability to boost the voice cal volume.

Try the apex 2.0 beta. The dsp manager works well
Hi all
I would like to know if some software can make the speaker more louder or maybe some manipulations in advanced system setting.
Thanks
P.S:forgive me for my bad english
PowerAmp has an equalizer preset made just for phone speakers. It gives some punch. I don't know of any modification on the system that increases the volume, and I advice you to not mess with it =P
Rocking with my M2 and XDA app
Arff,i already have PowerAMP with this preset but the sound is not much louder with it.
The alarm volume dont wake up me compare to my old n95
Thanks to you

Well, sometimes there are some podcasts whose volume is quite low and quite dificult listen to them. One solution would be to increase the volume by pc, but I'm triyin to find an easier solution through the mobile.
I saw some aplications like volume booster, but any of them worked in our U8800. That is why I want to ask you if any of you know how to fix it.
THX!
Volume + should be working. Ret4rt includes it in hes rom.

I'm using dsp manager from cyanogenmod. its quite good.you can use app named 'equailizer' if have non rooted mobile.
Volume+ tested and doesn't work the volume increase (I use the rooted 2.3 stock Rom)
About DSP Manager it just let control de volume, but doesn't increase it, does it?
earphone sound volume is increased a bit can't say about speaker volume.
I have searched and read a lot of posts on headset volume, but am still confused.
My understanding is that the in-call headset sound can be adjusted by the volume rocker, but otherwise changing the sound (e.g. bass boost, treble boost) is not possible without changing system files or the kernel.
In other words, tools like DSP Manager and Volume+ cannot affect the in-call headset equalization. They only impact media playback.
Is this understanding correct?
On a related note, I read in an XDA forum for another android phone that DSP Manager and Volume+ should not be on the same phone at the same time, i.e. if you want to try Volume+, you should remove DSP Manager first. Can anyone clarify for the HD2?
You understand it.
About DSP and Volume+ at the same time, it is possible but will probably give you static, distortion or Force closes.
So yes if you want to try Volume+ you should remove DSP Manager first.

Yes, upon first launch of volume plus, there is a message that clearly explains the issues when using both. I personally love volume plus
