edited 10-30-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate is a slightly modified WM6 cab with AT&T Splash removed, Security Policies modified for unsigned cabs and RAPI access (Mobile Registry Editor won't give a "access denied", HSDPA icon (when available) and also, with Schaps' permision, his neat looking com manager vibrate file. Schaps Vibrate is renamed to allow installing this into a ROM that already has Vibrate. Delete either my Schaps_TrayIcon_MannerMode or TrayIcon_MannerMode from \Windows\Startup. BTIcon, latest XMMobiResetter and Landscape Cleartype are included. This is the same cab as the DP_WM6 with Vibrate & Batteryguage without the RandomAccess and Batterguage.
edited 10-16-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate
Added new cab with clean 3G Icon, latest xmmobitvresetter in \Windows\Startup. Also made the BTIcon a shortcut per Kyphur's suggestion. Also, Schaps Vibrate is renamed to allow installing this into a ROM that already has Vibrate. Delete either my Schaps_TrayIcon_MannerMode or TrayIcon_MannerMode from \Windows\Startup.
Also included is a barebones registry and clean 3G cab, no files except for the clean 3g file.
edited 10-31-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate & Batteryguage
Removed the themes and Samsung Clock. Added TWEAKCL.EXE to \Windows\Startup for Landscape Cleartype. Also added ClearType Tuner to the Control Panel and the RandomAccess Grey files, also BTIcon, latest XMMobiResetter and the Alarrm 1-5 files.

I don't remember who made it, but someone made a great comm manager that had the option to disable IR beam...find that and you might be in biznaz!
You don't mean the
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled key?
Or does this do more than just the IR beam?

Sweet, that was the key I was searching for.
Thanks!
glad to be a help.
I used sktracker when finding this and also when doing my own setup cab. great bit of software.
@crazyC
Thanks bro, a proggy I've been looking for.
These reg settings were found in 4 different wiki's here... I'll document each key later this week.
What is the 650k ATT file in the cab?

Just want to make sure this is the only reg entry needed for Cing Kybd

You need this too:

You dont have the shortstring stuff in your cab though. But the cingular cabs do.
See the CAB and/or the XML here.
I wonder what the shortstring stuff does??

Thanks! This was from you, me, Jose, Molski, Risidoro and others from the Wizard Rat Pack, eheheh!
I would really like to include your Cingular settings but my WinCE Cab Mangler only shows phcanOverbmp.dll and nothing else... I think you used a xml file that I just can't see with WCM ???
And if Scnaps OK's me using his nicer vibrate exe from his ROM I'll be set... this does indeed cut a considerable amount of time from my frequent flashes, many times on the side of I95 when I get a ...hmmmm... iffy ROM ......

yes sir you are correct, i did it all with xml.. if you open my cab with wince and click on the pre and post xml under the provisioning category you will see the xml code i hacked up all the different xml files for settings and made 2 seperate ones.. if you decide to do a similar thing, make sure you leave out the first and last lines "<WAP-PROVISIONING DOC>" .... Wince does not like these...
My findings for settings
Nice job !
In between multiple flahes of various roms I found a big relief in skipping the first windows dialogs with date, mail, touch calibration etc. by adding a blank file "welcome.not" in the root of the storage card and add the touch settings [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\CalibrationData] in my own settings cab.
It works very well for me, so I thought I'd share it.
cheers,
dan
hi all, when i first got my diamond im sure i seen an option to disable the battery status icon in the taskbar? it may have just been my imagination or i was dreaming as i cant find the option, am i not looking hard enough or am i going mad? thanx loads
it's okay you are indeed going mad.
cannae help ye if ye don't give a few details.
If it's a basic ROM without any additional proggies then it's best to look for a cab tweak file thal'll do ze jobbi.
But if you have added a few tweak proggies, like DiamondTweak of Schapp's Advanced Config, then you'll be able to find a few tweaks that deal with the battery icon. QuickMenu also has a battery icon tweak. Get's a bit feckree if you have more than one config tool installed (like me, I have all 3 listed) but have no fear that wee b'stard will be removed !

thanx for the info, im using the latest stock rom, i'll try Schapp's config.
Schaps Advanced Config did it for me, first option under Today (well only option under today) lets you choose between battery or clock. Not sure how to remove both but I'm happy with clock so I don't have to go to home tab to check the time when I'm flicking through messages etc. Thanks

I have recently started to use MortScript to apply tweaks to my TP2. I have previously written little apps to disable the power button when the keyboard is open and one to hide folders from HTC Album. In addition I wrote a few more scripts to apply tweaks after I reset my device.
I have now bundled them all up into one CAB and I thought I would share the result - hAndyUtils
Tweaks in Version 1.0
Power Button Options
Disable the Short/Long Press of the Power Key when the keyboard is open with options to reset the battery power timeout or wake up the device using any key.
Hide Folders in HTC Album
Hide or Show Folders in HTC Album - for instance I have a number of folders on my storage card thta contain images from software that appear in HTC Album which I found annoying. This tweak allows you to hide those folders.
Communications
Bluetooth Notifications
Disable/Enable Bluetooth Notifications for Device Disconnect or Volume Warning
WiFi Options
Enable/Disable Wifi always on.
Camera Tweaks
Enable/Disable 7MP Panoramic picture tweak
Add/Remove Burst, Sports, Video Share and GPS Photo to the Camera Capture Options.
Manila Start Menu
Enable/Disable the Manila Start Menu (Doesn't work with WM6.5)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is my intention to add more tweaks as I come across them and use them. If anyone has any suggestions of tweaks to add please feel free
Andy

Great idea, and probably a great set of tweaks.
I have a similar problem to siflaar. I realized, that I had to change all references to "Program Files" in every .mscr file, since it's called "Programmer" in my native language. I've also changed the same thing in the link in my Start Menu.
I can launch the application fine, and I get all the different settings. Every change I try to make is succesful according to the app., but when the device is restarted, there is no change what so ever..
Any suggestions?
I'm a Mortscript novice, but would it be possible to make an "international" version, that would work with any language out of the box?

Apologies for this oversight. I assume that the registry entries are specific to your language also, therefore although the registry updates have been added they are not in right places. I am working on tidying up the scripts and will try to make an international version. I will let you know when it's done.
Thanks for your input.
I have just noticed another code mistake in the BT Notifications. I will fix now and upload version 1.4 shortly.

That's good news. Thank you. I'll wait patiently.
I have recently flashed a WM6.5 ROM and there are a number of tweaks that do not work. The worst for me is the disable power button. I am trying to fix this now and will update the software as soon as I have a solution.
The Power Button Options Should Now Be Fixed. Fingers Crossed. Due to Registry Differences I have uploaded a WM6.5 Version which should overcome some of the issues.
When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:

But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.
