I have a HTC HD2 Rom version 1.72.110.4, on T-Mobile. When I make or recieve a phone call, there is a vertical slider that is used to access options behind it including the notepad, calendar and speaker.
Is there a registry setting or tweak that will disable the slider so that I have ready access to the options buttons?
Thanks in advance
You can install BsB Tweak that has a option to disable it.
Brilliant - it works a treat. I'll try some of the other tweaks available within the app

What option is it in BSB tweak? I used to have it set, but did a clean install last week, and can't remember what menu that feature was under...
EDIT; Opps, found it. Was being stoooopid!

hey!
i was wondering if there is a solution how to turn on/off touchflo with one click (maybe with a link, custom app, etc.). i'm asking, because i use openvpn and it has a connection-manager which has a tray-icon in the lower right corner of my screen. when touchflo is enabled, i can't see the tray-icons. right now i am disabling it with 'start-settings-today' and then uncheck it. then i start the vpn and when i'm finished i re-enable touch-flo. not very elegant, huh? any suggestions?
cheers,
kabufzk
p.s.: i am using M-Amine 2.0 RTm SP1 German
Hi
there is no a utility as you describe but there is utility give you the ability to switch between 2 today screen and it's great and working perfect, I use it to use phonealarm, you can put the TouchFlo in one and let the try icon in other, and switch between them by a click
this utility is "SecondToday", you can fined it here
http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm#SecondToday
thx for the hint, i'll give it a try when i have time.
kabufzk
http://www.htcspain.com/ is working on one... and gestual!
they will release it inside their rom though
they say it is not 2ndtoday, etc it enables/disables touchflo
and only 3kb ram
hope they release it soon
and that someone can make a cab too
When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.
Find it here:

Is there a way how to set it through registry instead of installing a special app on that? Thanks

Thank you!!!! Just what i was looking for....
For who wants to know:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration\12
Setting Enable to 0 hides the Settings panel in Sense.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo:HideSettings
and reset.
But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

That's fantastic. Now do you have any idea how to create a quicklink to the new windows settings? Can't find it for the life of me...
yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.

Same here. Would like to change some icons in standard WinMo Settings but can't find it in the Start Menu folder.
when using word mobile and acrobat reader it doesnt rotate.....is it not suppose to or is there a way to get it too?
you can enable rotation of those apps through the editing within the registry but that can be a bit tedious for some people.
an easier way to enable it would be to use a program like BSB tweaks to enable rotation to any program you'd like. that's what i usually use.

I try using BSB tweaks to enable rotation on MS word but it doesn't work.
im sorry im new to this phone wats bsb?
[APP][27/12] BsB Tweaks 1.6 (More tweaks and features!)
Isn't the HD2 screen supposed to change to landscape, when you turn it sideways?
I have not been able to get it to do that once. It always remains portrait.
I have tried turning it in both directions. I also did the "calibrate G-Sensor" thing in Settings, and it appeared to calibrate correctly.
Newest stock T-Mo rom, phone just received yesterday.
Suggestions?
Search would have been your friend on this question.
Tmous HD2 doesn't go to landscape on the home screen as shipped. The picture and music tabs should. There is a cab to enable it for all tabs (including home) or you can use BSB tweaks. I prefer BSB tweaks.

Just tried it with music. Didn't work.
First, turn off the landscape option in BsB, then try the cab I have attached here
Thanks Sir Phunkee.
Just today, I finally got the landscape option to work in the Music and Recent Documents tab. And using BSB, I was able to add the option to a couple apps.
How does your cab work? Does it automatically add the landscape option to all apps?

It's more to add rotation to all the sense tabs...but I think it does add it to a few apps too (file explorer, for example)...but I can't remember for sure.
hi guys... i got a locked hd2 tmous. i always get a 3G signal that keeps popping up and bothering me. i want it turned off and i want 2G turned off too. how do i totally disable 3G and 2G for good?
3G you can just turn off in Comm Manager.....
Tap your taskbar...
Tap the network connection icon..
Scroll down to the 3G toggle.
You cannot disable 2G as that would leave you with no signal at all.

You arecright you can turn the 3G off in community manager but you firstchave to do the registry edit to make the 3G in community manager appear, remember it is hidden by defualt. You can find the registry edit in the "Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks" thread tweak #49. Or you can install Touch Tools or BSB Tweaks witch can do most of those tweaks for you if you are scared to mess with your registty. I personally like Touch Tools better than BsB Tweaks bit that is just me. Go the links below to check out the thread and the two apps.

Hmmm that is a little odd, are you sure your Rigistry editor will in hide system files? This qoute comes from the thread on tweaks I linked to you.
Note for users new to Windows Mobile you will need a registry editor to find and edit files beginning with either HKCU or HKLM and a file editor that can unhide system files.
