Hi, sorry I did not explain it clearly, It's not about the MMS capture video problem.
I want to send a MMS to a friend by using my Mini, the MMS is about 400K and when I send it, it said the size is too big and ask to change the setting. However in the MMS setting the biggest size it allow to set is 250K so I want to know is there a way to change it. Thanks!!
Anyone can help?
bumpity bump
Here in the UK all the networks have a limit of 300k on their servers, so its not the phone thats restricting.
acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28
with acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28 you can set the mms size to 300k.

MMS Settings on WM6

Hi,
I have a HTC Touch with WM6 on it and yesterday I received a SMS message about a MMS that I received.
I tried to figure out the settings for MMS through my provider (Vodafone NL), through google and through this great forum. Unfortunatly I am unable to find the settings for MMS anywhere in my device.
All the MMS guides say:
Go to messages, go to options and then edit your MMS settings.
Unfortunatly I dont see MMS settings but SMS/MMS settings and the only two options I have are "use unicode if needed" and "request deliveryreceipt".
Anybody can tell me how to configure MMS settings on my WM6 HTC Touch device?
Greetz,

you must have the new mms app just go to sms/mms and make a new mms choose custom, go to the menu or what ever two settings are on the bottom and look for mms settings (sorry for lot being to detailed right now i dont have my phone with me)
hope this helps you in some way
I am sorry but I dont quite understand you.
I only have the option to create a new email account (pop3 or imap) and I cannot choose MMS.
What kind of MMS app do you mean? A seperate install? Or do you mean another message provider like exchange/MMS/pop3?

sorry as i sed i did not have my phone with me but now i do and the mms app is what sends mms because it is separated from the sms sender
My mms settings are in the sms inbox and select menu and mms settings
if not try these
go to your sms inbox select menu go to new and select mms. Choose custom now select menu > options > MMS options.
that works fine, but its the configuration for receiving MMS messages
I received a SMS message from my provider that I should watch the MMS online on some website. Why cant I get it on my device directly?
When I look at the info at the provider they say that I should configure some sort of mms url. But I cannot configure that anywhere.
or am I missing the complete picture of MMS receiving?

this used to happen to my old motorola phone because the file was too big or it was not compatible (even that i knew it was) this is a network problem or try setting the size limit in the mms settings to the max you can on it but if you want higher try searching for the registry settings, search "mms size limit" or something like that
instead of all various configurations where I have to enter the URL of the MMS server it was quite easy: send an MMS and my provider automaticly configures my phone as MMS-capable

MMS trouble with file ext.

When trying to send a MMS message, the image is renamed and stripped of the file ext.
Like this: IMG00453.jpg becomes 45684123
It is the same result whether I send to an email address or to another mobile phone.
Some email clients doesn't understand that 45684123 is really a .jpg image.
Tried telling HTC support about this, but they don't seem to care...
I have a temporary solution, by disabling the HTC default MMS program and installing Arcsoft MMS v5.
But then I can’t pick a contact and choose “send Message”, because it refers to the default program which I disabled….
Well, at least I can send MMS with file ext…. :-|
Does anybody have a fix for this problem? So that the default MMS program can be used?
No one can help?

MMS from iPhone - tiny picture?

I have an HD2, but many of my friends have iPhones.
When they send me an MMS picture, I get a TINY little picture. I can save it and open it with the Manilla photo viewer - but it still tiny. At least I can zoom in a bit though.
Does everyone experience this? I know the iPhone camera isn't great, but surely it takes pictures in a higher resolution than 40x40 (or whatever dreadful size I get?!)
If I send them a picture, they get it full size.
Any way to fix this?
The problem isnt with the phones, it's o2's MMS service for some idiotic reason they resize the pictures when they are sent from the senders mob so you receive a tiny pic.
You need to do a registry tweek on the HD2 which will allow you to receive MMS pics normal size.
Using a registry editor (I use PHM Registry Editor)go to the below (bold) location and edit the USERAGENT and UAPorfile registries.
HK Local Machine\Software\Jataayu\MMS\SP
UserAgent = HTC_HD2_T8585
UAProfile =//htcmms.com.tw/gen/HTC_HD2_T8585-1.0.xml
Reboot and then send yourself or have someone send you a pic via MMS and it should display full screen.
If your settings are already set to the above then try changing it to the following:
UAProfile = //nds1.nds.nokia.com/uaprof/NN95-1r100.xml
UserAgent = NokiaN95/11.0.026; Series60/3.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1
Thanks for that - I have updated the settings, and will get someone to try sending me a pic.
Its odd though, as I ofter get pics from other people without iPhones and they're usually OK.
Perhaps its just because 90% of the people I know are on O2... and the ones I'm having problems with aren't?
Similar issue.
My son and my mother both have a Samsung Tocco Lite. Whenever I've sent them a picture either via MMS or Bluetooth, or Bluetooth to PC then Bluetooth to their phones, they get a long and thin stretched version of my photo which looks normal on my HD2. Hmmm.
There is no need to set the user agent to a nokia n95. o2 already support the HD2 so please use the appropriate user agent.
