Possible to change what the hard buttons do?

I want the 'search' button to open a google search with dolphin, how can I do this?

Change the shortcut in settings. Or there's an app for remapping the hard buttons too I believe. May be here on XDA.

Haptic feedback

Anyone know how to disable vibrating for the soft keys on the bottom.
Seems like it should be easy but can't find it.
I am rooted so if there is an app out there, I could use that

slide it keyboard

Hi to all. Friend of my has htc legend and he want to use slide it keyboard. My question is: how I have to allow it on legend.
I install it already but still appear the original keyboard. Thanks in advance

First you have to enable it in settings under language and keyboard. Then you have to press and hold a textbox and select input method.

Hey.it took 2 seconds to type in button remapper and find the app.
Just do that.it was posted by appleflap.
Dl the keyteacker too so you know what the code is for the button you ant to remap.
However,remapping does not allow you to use the remapped button to power on.remember that.
And give thanks to appleflap too.

easiest is to remap the genius button sinceyou can search with google,and browser.the key code is 183.
tap that,scroll up and select power and then apply.

Disable volume rocker?

Anybody know an app or hack so I can disable the volume rocker? My volume down button is faulty so it forever mutes audio. I just want to disable it as a whole.

if you want to disable volume keys, just go to /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl and search for 113 and 114 keys then erase VOLUME_UP VOLUME_DOWN that way you'll loose volume control over those keys

CM7 doesn't have an option to disable them.
