this is possible with the MIUI ROM, also there is an app (not sure its in the market) its called 'SGS Button remapper' this should do the trick.
google it if you cant find it on market
Anyone know how to disable the click on the keyboard? Seems simple but have yet to find the option outside if turning the sound of completely.

When the keyboard is open there is a settings button next to the space bar. Hit that go to advanced and turn off the sound.
