hi guys,
i appologise in advance is this thread is in the wrong place.
i am currently using darkstone superRAM froYo v1.5 and cant seem to copy my sim contacts to the phone, also i wanted to try gingerbread.....which is the current best gingerbread rom using the SD method? also are you able to copy simcard contacts?
thanks in advance for all your help
Go to your contacts, hit the menu/options button, import/export, then import from Sim.
That is for my Typhoon Gingerbread rom (NAND)
sorry, whats the difference between the NAND version and the SD card version
NAND Version runs from internal Phone Memory and SD Version runs from SD card.
Check out this thread for more information about flashing a NAND ROM.
i currently use darkstone superRam froyo v1.5.......can anyone recommend a good SD card Gingerbread rom?
thanks

MDJ Can you make a gingerbread sd build for people that are runing wp7 and android on there sd card plz thank you.
I have looked many time on this site and others trying to find a good link for 2.2 for my hd2. I did find one and it did not load correctly. If someone could help with a good link that would be awesome. you can email link to jrsgvr4 at live.com. Thank you in advance.
Quite a few good solid and stable 2.2 and 2.3 sense and non sense versions, I like sense and recommend the rom in my sig or don't be lazy and use the search or just look!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found myself in the same problem a couple months ago.
What I use is: darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5
link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870518
This is the most stable build I have used. (My opinion)
I have tried Android 2.2 with HTC Sense but some apps don't work and is very laggy.
If you still want to try Sense, use: [7 Mar][DL Desire v4.32.44.12][Sense Re-Engineering with RAM][Simply FAST]
link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881937
I have not tried Gingerbread (2.3) and won't for a while because most apps aren't compatible with Gingerbread:
If you want Gingerbread (2.3), use: [MAR 05] AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB233 CM7|bkup2sdext234 [KERNEL:AmCanAndroid r3.01]
link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957652
SD Card builds vs NAND builds:
Using SD builds is safer than NAND builds. This is because you can go back to Windows Mobile quickly if for some reason you don't want somebody to know you have Android on your phone.
Personally, I use SD builds so I don't have to go through the risk of bricking my HD2 while flashing a NAND build on it.
RAM (SD CARD) Builds:
Builds that use RAM to run Android are theoretically faster than NAND builds.
RAM is a faster memory compared to NAND memory.
Plus, SD Builds that use RAM don't stress the SD Card and make the phone hot/shorten the SD Card's life.
If you have anymore questions, reply to me.
Why would you ask this question on a development website? Where people make ROM's? Obviously just look in the development section.
A little more info needed, do you have MAGLDR or are you booting from SD?
I have TmoUS hTc HD2 with stock rom and radio
now i am interest in NAND build...
I am using AmeriCandroid from SD card....
I read FAQ's about installing NAND....ok...so aren't these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951 , http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026 , http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=918899 the NAND rom's?
Why are ZIP written in front of every file? Are those NAND rom?
If they aren't than do i have 2 android in hd2 ? ( NAND Anroid ROM and another anroid frm above links)
Will I still be able to use SD android (like AmeriCandroid) when i have NAND android ?
Would appreciate helps

Your HTC HD2 has 1GB of internal memory so your best option is a NAND Rom. Nand and SD versions are posted on separate sections of the forum and are clearly indicated.
Thanks guys for the info
Hi,
I have flashed my HD2 to run Andriod 2.2 but looking to update it with NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.7_NAND_(Android-2.3.4)_update.zip
I take it this runs from the SD card and not the ROM?
Also will this work on a UK HD2?
Regards
no that rom runs from the nand NOT SD card, yes it will work on a uk hd2
shuld be all the information you need in the actual rom developers thread for the rom

RE: Shifting to Android
Hey,
I am finally thinking to move to android. Need help.
Have decided to get an dual boot option by installing android on SD Card.
Was thinking about AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2.
BTW need to know which is the best SD card Android Rom.
And are theses Prerequisites good enough to get android..??
SPL 3.03
Radio 2.15
Official HTC HD2 ROM v3.14
Any other suggestion in this regard will be great.
Looking for some quick reply.
Hi Adiyant, I have quite similar specification in my EU Leo: stock vodafone rom 3.14; spl3.03; radio 2.15.50.14; and running 3 android rom from SD:
Android ICS 4.0.4 Tosti Droid: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1492488 (trying the newest)
Android CM7 HyperDroid: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1585420 (stable & fast)
Android 2.3.5 + Sense 3.5 de MCCM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1289477 (trying Sense3.5)
Every ROMs are good, depending your needs. And it is very easy to change it. Search, read & enjoy the trip!
Thanks for the info.

1. Strange problem. Are you sure you entered correct username & password? I am using AmericananDroid and never had such a problem.
2. You may transfer contacts from WM to Android, using Spb Migration Tool or any other migration tool. Also you may use MobilEdit or MyPhoneExplorer and copy your Outlook contacts to your phone.
moving now to android general section.

Thanks for the info.
Mentioned issues solved. Now I am on to fB, it says that a newer version is available, but as i go to the market it says your device is not compatible.
Please advise which fB application should i use or which one is the best one for HD2 android.
If you can provide me with link it will be really great.
Dual Boot
Just out of curiosity, why dual boot versus and fresh NAND install of Android?

Its simple, I can not leave WinMo. Its what makes this device wonderful.
Plus there are less complications and more options. Eg : I can install 3 SD Android ROM simultaneously with WinMO keeping all my things safe.
